Still a far better Souls game than DS2.

If they just fixed the moves with no tells and added like 1 more new enemy type per main quest map it could have been a true masterpiece but it really drags on and theres no real reason to play endgame content.

Main combat mechanics felt great but the enemy/level variety felt pretty lacking.

Kinda wish they went a different direction with the loot system, too.

Overrated piece of shit. The maps being levels kills the immersion. I wanted exploration

I'm using the Odachi and Spear in low-stance and they're it's pretty fun, just beat Muneshiggy and heading to the next region.
not really, it's faster pace. While there is still some element of "bait enemy to attack then hit when they miss", aggressive play is encouraged due to being able to run out of stamina plus ki pulse. Muneshiggy (real one) is a casual filter since he has all the skills and speed of a player, leaving very few openings for an attack.

I'm legit hard stuck on the first DLC. Centipede guy I beat on the 3rd try and one eyed dragon guy took me like 20 tries but this dumb spaniard whore is fucking impossible. Despite the fact that I have all matching level 150 divine armor and she casually 2 shots me is super discouraging. I've never had to grind in these types of games before but it looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and actually grind if I wanna make it through all the DLC.

Yes, just uninstalled you last week. You were fun for about 12 hours and then really went downhill in a hurry

Put 200 hrs into it trying different weapons/builds, some bosses were kino (Okatsu, Sakon, Nobu, that dlc samurai). Loved the artistic direction, actually felt like going into some old Japanese gravures sometimes. Music wise there's not too many OSTs but some were very memorable to me. Also these 2d cutscenes were incredible.

Of course, GotY 2017

Maria is genuinely a shitty boss. I was also stuck in that fight for more than 2 hours. Do what the other user said though, low stance and dodge like an idiot. What also really helped me beat this cunt was shooting her in the face every time she started that guardian spirit animation, which gives you enough time to do so and then run to her and stab her while she's down.
Don't feel discouraged though, I disliked most of the first dlc but the second one is better and has less bullshit bosses and the third one is really good.

Opposite for me, Shigazane was easy, Masamune was a bitch due to his future seeing blocking.

How would you rate it's difficulty compared to the souls games? The only soul game that was hard for me was DS1 because I was new at the genre. So far Nioh gave me a harder time then all other souls
