Daily reminder that this is the best dragon fight in a video game to date
>
Umm, no sweetie.
>Watching him spam his spaz attack combo and all you can do is stand around and wait for him to stop doing it.
This is literally 90% of the fight.
its not even the best dragon fight in that series...
>""""dragon""""
>glorified damage sponge that becomes almost completely harmless once you cling on to it
>almost like everything else in the game
>have to slog through 20 hours of tedious, uninspired, sluggish, repetitive content to get to it
I'm okay
>shoots maker's finger at it
>mfw this child sat at the opposite end of the arena chucking crossbow bolts at it and wondered why the dragon kept closing the distance
Better than Dragon God
Better than Seath
Better than Kalameet
Better than Sinh
Better than Ancient Dragon
Better than Ancient Wyvern
You're kidding right, the entire fight is like 10 different fucking quicktime events with loadscreens between each of them while he fucking monologues at you.
Midir is an actual relentless fight to an incredible soundtrack.
>you took one bar of my nine health bar
DUDE INSTAKILL FULL SCREEN FIRE LAZERS LMAO
>he fell for the 20 vig meme
>implying he doesn't die in one shot if you shoot him during that scene.
This
spbp
ay VP
>haha it's unfair that a dragon that's 200 times my size should kill me with this totally telegraphed move with a fixed pattern that my ADD brain failed to memorize and that my 15 vig character couldn't survive
>why should i have to level up my health, use dark-resistant gear/rings or use any of the mechanics the game offers for me to win? it's the boss that sucks haha
Correct.
>in a video game
I dunno about that..best in that series for sure.
>unpredictable and unfair fire breathing
>camera basically becomes useless
>animation windups that are impossible to read due to the boss being 1 fucking color against a 1 color backdrop
>>>>>>>best dragon fight in a video game to date
This fight is garbage.
not only he has a gorillion hp
you cant even read his movements due to the camera and shitty hitboxes.
also insta-kill movement alongside stomps that deal damage because of shockwaves.
dude run to the other side of the map.
>he expects to read a boss' movements by standing underneath him
>he stands underneath a probably 5000 lb dragon and expects everything to be okay
>he's colorblind
Stand in front of him, you'll never have camera issues.
He has the perfect amount of HP for the fight to remain tense without becoming tedious, esp considering the scripted riposte and the 2nd phase
His movements are some of the most telegraphed
He doesn't have a single stomp move and his laser is easily survivable by anyone with over 1300 hp and ~20% dark resist (which is achievable by equipping literally ONE ring). Also, the laser is easy to dodge
He uses his 10 hit running combo attack to close distances. He'll use it if you run from him, so don't do that
Came here to post this, Grigori was pretty good.
keep dreamin kiddos
Not even the best dragon fight in Souls.
Kalameet is shit compared to him.
>lock on and fight its body, camera goes buckwild
>hate it
>figure out you need to lock on to the head and attack it from the front
>actually really fucking fun
cry more hahahahahahahahahahahaha
bet you couldnt even beat him
>bet you couldnt even beat him
In what world did this comment make sense to you? I've beat both, neither are hard, and Kalameet is a great deal easier.
This isn't dragon's dogma ...
>Midir
>relentless
He's probably the only boss to give consistent openings to even the heaviest, slowest weapons
Personal opinion, but I think kalameet was better
...
The fight itself was alright
Everything leading up to it, the sense of stakes, is what made it so good
Literly anything in monster hunter is better than clunk souls because you feel like an actual human being who can sprint and make all these movements instead of a shitty roll and brisk walk.
Grigori and all the other dragons in that game.
>numale hunter
>I can't argue so I'll just use buzzwords.
LOL
Grigori is the best dragon, but his boss fight is pretty mediocre. All flair and no gameplay.
>All flair and no gameplay
This was especially noticeable with most of the rest of the game being the opposite
Made it stand out in both good and bad ways
I fucking love how the Midir fight seems specifically made to out casuals.
>it has like a gorillion HP!
It doesn't go down an incredible lot slower than most other bosses if you do what you're supposed to and slap it in the fucking face, so someone saying this probably summoned or tried to cheese it by hugging some dragon asshole
>it has bullshit instakill moves that you can't see coming!
I'll grant that the lazor was a bit BS since there's really no good way to guess where it's going to go, but it's the same pattern every time. The boss has tail swipe and fire breath attacks that are meant to fuck up anyone trying to hide between it's legs. Just standing in front of Midir's face makes everything a lot more predictable.
Wrong DD fight
Same shit different.....nothing actually.
Does anyone actually like fighting him?
>implying
Man, digimon fell off the boat.
oh no no no no no
pffft
>Fuck the Ai out with Zoroark and something weak to psychic.
Was fun watching him spam his most powerful to no avail for 2 turns.
I found him boring to be honest.
Seath, kalameet, ancient dragon and king of the strom all had something unique about them.
midir is literally a stompy, breath fire and shoop da woop dragon with nothing unique about him we haven't seen before.
that was one of the most boring DS fights..
>lure fire
>2hit the head
>dodge
>repeat for 20mins
The dragon in DS1 dlc was better, but in general none of that comes close to some other game's great dragon fights. One of it being
