>be NEET for years browsing 4chins all day between playing comfy video games >get bored of routine and decide to get a job and so some schoolwork on my own time >dealing with people is soul crushing >learning stuff is fun >fun things are fun >finally get some time to myself between soul crushing work, dealing with things and trying to learn shit >pop pic related into my 3DS because it's been on my backlog since it came out, and desert aesthetics are my shit >unskippable intro, awful tutorial that you can't skip >tutorial takes for fucking ever >get tired of dealing with the artificially slow pace, turn off 3DS >drink myself to sleep >haven't had a day to myself since, and this was over a month ago
Getting old was a miss steak.

Ever Oasis is also a dragging, bad game.
Dominic White
>IT'S BEEN NEARLY FIFTEEN YEARS SINCE THE GOLDEN AGE OF MMOS CAME TO AN END >the reality of getting online, being excited to get some spontaneous shit going with your online bros/guildmates is never going to be realized again >freeform, interesting progression is forever halted in favor of the braindead themepark with MUH LEVELS and MUH UNIVERSAL SAMENESS >zone, dungeon, raid instancing is never going to go away because people feel too safe with it and will complain until developers change it to this paradigm >huge, sprawling battles that raged on for days or WEEKS will never come back, as all PK is instanced and fast paced with limited agency involved >social interaction will never come back, as all content is instanced and all groups are formed automatically without communication >all of the games that attempt any of this are either shit or shit clones of UO/DAoC/etc >microtransactions are the only thing keeping the genre alive in the West
Jackson Reed
I paid $30 for Ever Oasis and feel compelled to finish it even though I don't enjoy the game.
Easton Davis
My life is a dragging, bad existence.
Didn't pay a cent for it, but I can't help my desert boner.
Ryder Ross
Play games that are more conducive to short spurts of play instead of a sprawling 3DS timewasters designed for neets who need a job simulator.
Isaiah Jones
>Be 30 >Great job despite having to work 60-80 hours a week >Still take the time to chill in bed every morning with 3DS before morning run >Currently playing through Fire Emblem Sacred Stones >Comfy as fuck
Brandon Roberts
I wouldn't say it's bad, but the pacing is just god awful which makes it a sold 5/10.
Logan Morgan
I fucking told you fags it was shit, but NOOOOOOOOOOOO >user, cute things are fun and the game gets more complex the more you play! Who's laughing now, fags?
Jace White
I want to believe I'll live the NEETlyfe again before I'm dead. If I could find a decent tactics game on muh 3DS that I haven't played, I'd have something to play all day at work when there's nothing going on which does happen once in awhile.
Honestly can't swing that much time or effort, though it's my choice.
>6-6 four days one week, 8-4 five days the next week >reading for general studies/major stuff on the weekdays at least 3-4 hours a night >cert grinding on weekends >Sunday is my only rest day from the gym >fall semester I'm going to be doing 9-2~ school, 4-12 work five days a week plus Saturday labs and cram interim semesters in the summer and between first/second

Rune factory is fun if you never stop playing It's a game that runs on inertia

This is why you should have multiple hobbies/interests, so that if you lose passion for one it doesn't feel like your whole reason for existence is no more
Go learn an instrument, pick up a sport, get into hiking/camping or something OP
Liam Ward
I haven't seen another human being in over two weeks. All I do is stay home and work. I could maybe even find time for games in there, but since I'm so stressed all of the time, after playing for an hour or so, I feel like I have to get back to work or otherwise I'm gonna freak out. To top it off, every time I manage to fall asleep after struggling with horrible insomnia, I have nightmares that for some reason are always full of brutality and violence, even though I hardly think about that stuff at all. As a result I only wake up even more tired and stressed. I think that after a certain point you become so tired of living that not even an entire month off work can help.
Isaac Campbell
>tfw you're too socially retarded to properly socialize with people and end up being incredibly nervous most of the time
Eli Cox
>work 60-80 hours a week How the fuck do you even have time?
Connor Rogers
I know these feelios.
One of the things I'm learning is musical theory for something fun on the side, plan to probably pick up the drums or the bass as well as dick around on a tracker/DAW once I'm more comfortable. And hopefully there's going to be some downtime coming up soon at work to finish some stuff up on muh 3DS, but we're in grind mode for at least another three months.
Julian Cook
Yep, sounds like me.
Aiden Butler
I ain't saying that socializing is not important, I think everyone should at least experience it to the fullest for a while. But I am gonna say that you shouldn't feel too bad about it since it's not all that's cracked up to be. I don't know what's more depressing, the fact that it will take you a long time to find someone that you share the same interests with, unless you got lucky, or the fact you will end up in a group that is great for everything social life but shares nothing with what you love to do.
Jack Diaz
>decent tactics game >3DS if you're talking about srpgs it has none, fire emblem is shit, even the vita beats it in that category with d3+d4. if you just mean any kind of strategy game, pick up codename STEAM (and download the update) for $3 and have a blast. really oldschool, not a lot of bloat that creeps into modern shit like ever oasis.
Joseph Hall
the key is to make friends when you're young, like in highschool and actually keep those friends, that way you all share the same interests and it's a great group for a social life
Jacob Sanchez
>when you're young Well I guess that's how the cookie is crumbling for this life
Oliver Parker
Once you're older it's pretty much just acquaintances (at best) and your significant other, if you even have one.
Connor Rivera
By tactics I meant sRPGs, tactical strategy games, and everything else in the ballpark. I just want something like the original Front Mission, or ideally Jagged Alliance, to play all the time.
Awakening really was a disappointment and I haven't touched anything that's come after it. I'd have to find my PS3 in a box somewhere to reactive my PSN account for my Vita, since it's linked to that serial number and I can't do anything without muh saves and muh store games. But if I got around to it, I guess I'd have SRW V to play and X later on this year.
My hope is that I can one day attach to an established group later on after I sort my shit out, or something like that. Really not wild about all of the normies and other undesirables I work with.
Jeremiah Morris
Eh, I guess I can't really complain I am content with what I got right now. Decent group of people I know and plenty of time for video games. Then again I am used to living and doing things just by myself.
Juan Lewis
Not your blog.
Adrian Sanders
It's not fucking fair. No one told me making friends would be basically impossible once you're past 25. That's just way too young to be this isolated from the rest of the world with no chance of recovery. Fucking hell.
Adam Murphy
There's Natural Doctrine on Vita.
Oliver Edwards
It's not that you won't make friends, you will. It's just that you are not going to find someone who shares interests with you when you are that age. For most people when you are young you have time to try out new hobbies or interests with people who have the same idea as you do. When people get older they have finally settled into one or few things that interests them, or simply just settled into one because they don't have the time to be exploring for hobbies anymore.
Trust me, you WILL find people you can hang out with and do everything you want to do in a normal person's check list of activities. It's just that you won't find someone who shares the same interests as you do.
Ayden Nelson
Last time I remembered Natural Doctrine on the Vita got a horseshit framerate
Jonathan Morris
PLAY OLD GAMES.
PREFERABLY PRE-1995 GAMES
ENJOY HAVING FUN WITH GAMES AGAIN
Is this that hard to understand? Modern gaming is a clusterfuck and is basically dead and it was the mid-90s style-over-substance BS Nintendo and Sony dragged into it that did it.
Landon Sanchez
Finding the games from pre-1995 that you haven't played and would interest you is just as much of a shitshow.
Charles Ramirez
I was really hoping for more out of the town building. It turning into just stacks of quests that needs to be fed with items to unlock subquests was really dull. There was no real customisation or building or sense of life or anything in it which is what I thought it was all going to be about. It was a real let down.
Ian Allen
You have an infinitely better chance of finding a good game picked at random pre-1995 than you do post-1995.
Hell, get VICE (C64 emulator). Play Impossible Mission. You're fucking welcome.
Camden Johnson
You don't need to play old games you idiot, you just need to calm down and figure out what games you actually want to play, rather than what you THINK you want to play. For instance, I still, to this fucking day, think I want to play RPGs, both c and j variety. I don't. I want to play beat-em-ups, third person shooters, character action games, and fighting games. I may never stop thinking I want to play RPGs, but as long as my rational mind is around, I can remind myself "hey, remember what happened the LAST time you tried to play one of those?" and move on to the things I actually enjoy, the things that actually excite and entertain me.
Modern gaming didn't fail you, you're failing yourself every time you convince yourself that there's nothing new out there good enough for you.
Nicholas Gutierrez
>Sony email says I played 50 games last year. >Over 220 hours >80 were Persona 5 >60 hours over two others I think I have a problem.
Jaxon Fisher
You just like video games. That's fine.
Thomas James
I know I'll demolish a Neptunia, Pokémon, or Senran Kagura game within a couple days limiting myself to 6 hours of sleep. Then I'll get something like Xenoblade 2 or Splatoon, play for an hour then never play it again.
Nolan Murphy
Its not bad but its super mediocre.
Kayden Powell
It's more that a majority of the games have been played for less than an hour after subtracting the top 3
Gavin Lee
I love the Etrian Odysey series. I fucking adore it. Beat 1, 2, U1, U2, 3, and 4.
I'm in stratum 2 of the fifth game and its just hard to motivate myself to go further. I wish I knew why, its a pretty good game.
Justin Taylor
That just mean that you liked playing that one game more than the others. I don't see no point in people forcing them selves to play a game that they don't want to.
Levi Gray
>How the fuck do you even have time?
Our studio has living quarters, all meals are catered, laundry service, gym etc plus I don't have a life outside of work. Once you eliminate commuting, mundane chores and a social life, 60-80 hours a week still leaves you with a bunch of free time.
Robert Baker
>first thread about this in months >the only replies to it and the OP both hate it >tfw it was one of my favorite games of last year fug
Christian Bell
That's even worse.
Caleb Price
I liked the game user. Yeah it could be fleshed out a bit more but it was still a charming little game.
Anthony Garcia
Not that user, but I worked that much while taking classes one term. Still had time to get pretty high HR on MonHun Tri. It's all about determination.
Dylan Sanchez
>be me 8 or 7 years ago >Play with an r4 on my nds, endless games to choose from, usually sink hours on rpgs from beggining to the end and then play 1 or 2 shorter games like scribblenauts and such for 2-10 hours, then repeat >3ds comes out >Nds games stop being produced >At the time no money to buy 3ds nor games >Decide to get a job so i can afford games >Get dedicated to job and get back to studies >Get an even better although more time demanding job >Remember vydia >Try to get into the 3ds again >Any of the games i play feel too complicated, as if i dont have the attention spam to understand them >Get tired too quick >only game i can enjoy is mario maker because casual af >Heard about botw so i bought a switch >Got tired the first hour of the game although i thought it was amazing >1 month and im scared to play again because i think ill get dizzy again
Maybe its just the practice and such i need to reaquire right? Ill try to devote some sunday to play botw and ill be alright. R-right?
Mason Powell
I actually started playing it this past week; I got it and DQ7, and I am on the post-gameshit in the latter. Just finished defeating the third boss (the plant thing) and just got reunited with my big brother's corpse being used as the Big Bad's vessel before coming onto Sup Forums to shitpost for a while. I should probably restock my kiosks
Eli Ward
You're clearly too old to be playing children's games, anons. This has nothing to do with being a le tired gaymer.
Go fucking download Age of Empires 2 or something, dude.
Chase Richardson
>If I could find a decent tactics game on muh 3DS that I haven't played Does Devil Survivor count?
Isaac Lopez
Only one game calls out to me anymore.
And it's more fun to make videos of it and sprite than it is to actually play it.
John Wright
I have the same issue with 5, it's not like there's anything we can with the gameplay, but something just feels like it's missing all the same. I'm not digging the race thing either, but that's a different issue.
Jeremiah White
>we can Excuse me, I'm retarded, meant wrong.
Joseph Collins
>October 2017 >going through a bunch of horror/gory games like Dead Space, Madworld etc >all is going well until the 30th >Resi 4 >want to finish it >no motivation to play it whatsoever >play some Metroid prime instead >31st >determined to play Resi 4 >still no motivation
Ethan Mitchell
You are just tired user. You can't force your self to play a game if your brain doesn't want to. Trust me. I'm not saying anyone should follow my order but this is why I left my job of working in warehouses for 6-years while going to school. At some point I just caught my self staring at the menu of whatever console I have in my hand at the moment and thinking "damn, have I really gotten to the point where I can't even feel the mood for video games?" I'm sure you are getting paid more than what I do right now but for me I just want something that can support me without taking up my whatever free time I got left, give me less stress, allows me to go to college without feeling like my brain is on deep fry, and still have time for vidya.
William Morales
It was fun for a while. I could easily get back into it if I didn't have loads of other vidja to play. If anyone reading this is thinking about buying it, just go for it, chances are if you like the look of the trailer you'll get your moneys worth.
Jeremiah Carter
>tfw fell for navy nuke school meme >work 80+ hours a week with no days off cause I don’t have photographic memory >want to fucking die cause I can’t vidya GOD BLESS AMERICA
