Most early ps2 games have aged horribly. I tried playing Okage recently and it was fucking horrible, I remember loving it when it came out though.
I don't think you actually played it on release. The gameplay was kinda clunky on release too. It aged fine desu. I tried replaying it recently to try and finish it and it really didn't feel different or worse than it did back in 2000.
It was always clunky and never looked impressive, even on launch.
Fun game though.
It was always pretty meh. Addictive as fuck once you get into it tho.
It always reminded me of the much better Azure dreams.
I fucking love this game.
There is something so inviting about the setting and atmosphere.

I really need to try get back into the second game one of these days, I've heard it is even better.
The gameplay was clunky but after playing more games I realize how shallow this one is with it's one button combat and mediocre city building. After playing Dragon Quest Builders I just can't find Dark Cloud good anymore. Is the 2nd one any different?
Oh shit I just realized they re-released both game son PS4, I know what I'm doing all weekend.

>Dark Cloud
>PS2
>Compairing them
You gotta be kidding nigga
Okage's biggest issue is making half of the party end game bosses, instead of early game ones.
Game spooked me too much.
And Chrono trigger endings are a fucking joke. They're old games, user.
I think only the original DW lives up to its name.
The only reason I'm comparing them is because I played it so recently. It just makes it hard to go back to a worse game. It's like playing a Harvest Moon game then trying to play the SNES one, or Persona 3 then playing 1. It's noticably different and hard to get into.
2 is a lot more refined, gameplay is actually decent and has a ton more to do in terms of side quests and other random activities too. It also looks great to boot. That said, it has it's own issues. There's a second character that's useless and the story kinda falls off after you meet her IMO.
Combat's also a lot better but at the end of the day it's still probably more limited than a lot of games that generation.

Going back to P3 after P4 is painful as fuck and they're both ps2 games. Does this mean P3 is a bad game? the answer is yes.
>Persona 3
>bad
Nigga I'll fight you. If you don't like the combat play Persona 3 Portable, it lets you control everyone.
Funny you post this since i just recently bought it and it's sequel on PS4
>Your first party member is literally a random stray cat you found affected by a human potion
>Proceeds to destroy the MC in usefulness until Dran
Oh Baby
Listen buddy i know your on your journey and all but i REALLY want my house to be far away from that fucking Mayor's house
Any game I go back to and don't like anymore
First dungeon only really depends on which weapons you get as to which of the two are useful. That said, she's absolute garbage late game. Toan is the only good character in end game, because his final weapons are easily the best. Some shitter will argue some hipster bullshit, but it's a fact.
>mfw they gated weapon upgrades in 2 so I couldn't break the game anymore
her monster forms are also completely useless too where as Toan's robot is good.
I managed to get Bandit Slingshot during my first trek so i guess i was just lucky
I can't tell if this is bait or if you are really retarded enough to confused dark cloud and dark cloud 2
this game would be a 10/10 if all the dungeons had 10 floors and you just unlocked more stuff for the towns per floor
Yeah, that's definitely what makes her OP at first. Trivializes everything in the first dungeon. I got that on my last run, power went out, and then I didn't get a single weapon from a chest the rest of the dungeon.
Name 1 game
