>skill used in a world famous manga from the 80s is more iconic than a fighting game move from the 90s

very surprising outcome

imagine being surprised by this

HULK SMASH
is more iconic them both of them

You don't have to imagine. There are people who voted for Ryu who claim to have never heard of the Kamehameha.

im just gonna claim that the difference between 236 and 259 is statistically insignificant. i havent done the calculations or anything though.

surprised because hadoken can be that close to kamehameha

Are you surprised? If so you're probably underaged.

It's called a t test if you want to check.

It isn't too hard to imagine. I am sure there are a lot of people who are only into fighting games or more specfically, Street Fighter, who never touched a animu.

It's me

Actually, I imagined the difference would've been larger. In my country I've never heard of anyone who doesn't know DB. It's still broadcasted on tv every year over here, and I wouldn't be surprised if the same happens in other places too.

>t test for count data

I prefer SNIKT

Goku has probably appeared in more video games than Ryu.

I'm surprised it's so close to be honest. Expected at least 70% for goku.

Yeah but who’s in Smash? That’s right ass hole.

>In my country I've never heard of anyone who doesn't know DB.

Hi Pedro.

Dragonball has far more exposure and is iconic as fuck. More on news at eleven.

Italy, actually.
>inb4 it's the same

you should check on your sphaghett my dude

>Thoughts?
I think people who participated in this are mostly autists.

Pastaland loves anime too, or just DB?

Smash is fucking gay casual babbys first fighter

italy is just pastabacks

It's the opposite in my country (Scotland).
Most young-ish people have at least heard of both, but the majority of non-geek/gamer/whatever have no idea what Dragonball is, but have at least heard of Street Fighter.

People probably played SF in arcades and only player Western games after that. They may not even know SF is a Japanese series.

Yeah, there's quite a lot of people that watch anime here.

Only a few

Italycore anime:
Dragonball
Kenshiro
Saint seiya
Lupin
Naruto
One piece
Holly & Benji (captain tsubasa)

so is dbfz

My generation (I was born in 1989) grew up with anime, even obscure ones, they were all broadcasted on TV. Thing is almost nobody refers them as anime, they are just cartoons for Italians.

Forgot detective conan

Tenha Kassatsu.

There are a lot more, I cannot be harsed now to look for the actual Japanese names, but to name a few: Lady Oscar, Mila & Shiro, Candy Candy, Alvaruccio (lel), Carletto il principe dei mostri, motherfucking Sanpei and more.

I also remember detective Conan (Case Closed) making some decent success.
Too bad every one of those got replaced by DB and crappy The Simpsons copies.

GIGI LA TROTTOLA

The only countries that differentiate between anime and cartoons are English speaking ones, and usually only because MURIKA does it and everyone else just goes along with it. There's no real need to differentiate between it besides elitism, either.

That said, it's no odder in some places to watch Dragon Ball than it is to watch The Simpsons there, both are foreign animated television shows anyway.
