These games aren't fun without friends and my friends stopped playing MH. I tried going through XX without them but it wasn't that great of an experience. Playing the beta of world alone has been pretty boring as well so I've decided to just completely skip this one.

Looks like it runs like shit, so I'm holding off on getting it for PS4 until I know it's okay. Otherwise I'll just wait for it on PC while I play DBZ on PS4.

It’s not like each hunt is quick either, with most of mine ranging between 15 minutes way up to 25 for some of the tougher monsters. This time is filled with dodging attacks, unloading on the monster, having it inevitably move on the second swing of your combo, missing the next two hits and then dodging to not get smacked up yourself. In the end I turned to the good old bow, but that leaves you with little defence for any attack that does make it through. Even while hitting the monster in its weak spot as often as possible the fight is still drawn out as the monster disengages and runs away. Most opponents will do this multiple times across a fight, leaving you with no choice but to put your weapon away and chase after it as the spirit flies guide you. The cluttered and decidedly unfriendly UI only makes matters worse as you’re bombarded with information you don’t necessarily need over essential tidbits. Like, you know, a health bar for the monster. While you can tell how a monster is fairing from physical indicators such as scratches and cuts, it’s simply not enough to tell how well you’re doing until the monster is physically limping. Menus are busy and tough to navigate in a pinch, with even the radial menus — the ones designed to be easy to access — quickly causing frustration.

I'll wait a few weeks after the PC version comes out and buy a key for $30 with free online play. I have tons of shit in my backlog, I just ordered a Vive, and I'm still playing XX on Switch.

Just finished a session. Playing it on the One X, I've noticed no frame drops so far. Killed the poisonous bitch, and been exploring some expeditions. I can't decide which weapon to focus on. Luckily, the rollback feature for upgrades is amazing to help me out.

Same. Any time I've ever preordered from Amazon for a game it never arrived on release date. I've always had to go out and buy a 2nd copy just to play on the date. I only preordered from Amazon because I had a gift card to use on the preorder.

Worst one was Halo 4 Special Edition it came 4 days later. I sent them an email and they refunded my purchase which was nice; but damn it's annoying. I mean shit it's the biggest company in all over America, how hard is it to ship some copies of a game?

They are talking out of their ass, there is simply no way to actually know right now.
The game has some scaling mechanics, that's true, but that doesn't necessitate you will be able to solo everything. You might be able to if you are completely decked out, but that's no different from any of the other games.
On the contrary pretty much every single review for the game complains about the high difficulty of the endgame level hunts and how harsh the difficulty gets.
There's also still all the super hunts and DLC coming out in the future to look forward to.
