More like soytunes or cucksongs.......
How is tower not the strongest town?
They start with a shooter unit of which you can amass 100+ in the first turn.
They have most shooters.
They have best magic.
They have more magic.
They have good bread-and-butter field units like the iron golem and the Naga who's one of the better units of its tier.
How???
Solmyr is a god I pray to him every night
>Chain lightnings your ass
>203 marksmen perish
Multiplayer is played on impossible using kiting
shooters can't kite
bump
Expensive to build and recruit. Tier 4 costs as much as a lvl 5 mage guild
>expensive buildings
>heroes have shitty starting skills
>mage heroes are worse than might heroes
>those buildings are really fucking expensive actually
Are you tired? Do you need to sit down?
Golem is good, but Naga is middling, from what I remember.
And titans cost way too goddamn much.
Nagas are the best t6 units
You mean dread/death knights.
might>magic, big stack of melee units is better than shooters when you know how to kite and avoid getting it damaged by retaliation
example (map ascension as red): lvl 1 shakti with day1 troops, 8 wyverns on hand and still 70 troglodytes left
fug
Nagas have fixed 30 damage and no retaliation.
and pretty much everything outspeeds them, hydras have the same problem
>has lower speed
>has lower attack, defense, hp
>Dread Knight actually has slightly higher average damage than 30 due to his critical strike
>DK is undead and curses vs no retaliation
The only category where the naga wins is special abilities, and even that is debatable.
Too much rng for the best unit.
>might>magic
This is actually quite debatable nowadays in HotA because Red Orb / Cloak have been removed and now it's very viable to finish a Jebus Cross game by just Armageddon / Imploding everything.
Of course, the game is "Heroes of MIGHT & MAGIC", and a purely might hero is still shit without at least some level 1 spells in his spellbook, and a purely magic hero's units are made of paper.
They're expensive, hard to play, and they can't reliably take Dragon Utopias without losses - you basically *have* to sacrifice at least your Gargoyles and Golems to take an utopia. Their heroes aren't anything special; Solmyr is reliant on having wells around starting positions to abuse CL levelling. Their best hero is Neela, but even she is kinda lackluster and strictly a worse Tazar/Mephala (but starts with a spellbook and can be easily taught Resurrect / CL / MS from heroes like Jeddite/Alamar/Solmyr/Deemer, which can be a huge advantage).
Tower is the ultimate army in the late game, but to get there is a big difficulty. It's the hardest to play. Also, they're heavily magic-oriented, but their units are slow and don't lend themselves to quick map exploration that uses spells to creep,; Tower doesn't have Dragogeddon on their side.
No retaliation on any unit is a huge, huge deal while creeping. Besides, it's about the role Nagas have in the Tower town; you can outfit a Tower hero with up to 5-6 Nagas in the 2nd week and it will be enough to clean up many stacks on their own, whereas most Necro tactics involve creeping with Vampire Lords.
Nagas are still solid units and I don't think there's much of a point in theorycrafting, on a number-by-number basis. People thought Fortress was a bad town solely on number-by-number basis and how their units lost in duels, but Fortress is actually amazing and has some unique strengths that aren't apparent if you just look at the math.
Sure, but we were just comparing units, not towns in this case (besides, if you compare the towns around the creature DK still wins; it's a really amazing unit that's basically what makes up for bone/ghost dragons being very weak as far as lvl 7 goes).
...
True, but I'd rather talk about "what does this unit do for my town" and "how can i maximize its use" than "is it better than other units".
I'd honestly vote for Wyverns as the best level 6 unit for sheer usability in most games.
