Cam somebody explain to me why is this game revered as one of the best FF?
>The cutscenes and dialogue are slow and sometimes make no sense
>The main character has an IQ of 75 and cannot be liked
>Game revolves about blitzball which is a broken and unappealing game
>No sense of exploration in the least, linear as hell
>You're forced to use all characters, even the ones you don't like. I don't like using someone who uses a ball
>Story can't even compete with the intensity of V, VI, VII and IX

To me, this game started the downfall of Final Fantasy. I have never played a game of this franchise which I liked since (Except the superb FFA2).

X-2? Give me a break with that shit.

well I thought the sound design was pretty good

>The main character has an IQ of 75 and cannot be liked
This but unironically. Tidus is the fucking worst.
>Actual retard
>Has to wear retard overalls, likely to prevent pulling down pants and pulling out retard dong in front of everyone
>Cries a lot
>Gets made fun of for crying a lot

>Can you explain to me why people have opinions that are not mine
That was your parent's job. To be fair, autistic people generally lack the ability to understand that, so they are not fully at fault.

Some of the dialogue, both how it's written and executed, in the cutscenes is really bad, but back in 2001 this was what we considered Kino. It doesn't hold up, but it was part of a transitional period and I can respect that. The actual gameplay is solid though and ultimately that's 90% of your time in a JRPG.

It aged pretty poorly. People were wowed at how good it looked back when it came out, and the fact that it was fully voiced, but that stuff doesn't really hold up anymore.

the game was shit when it came out though. corridor simulator. Also the voice acting was seen as a negative and people were upset that pre-rendered backgrounds were replaced with shoddy early era 3d

i honestly then and now cannot fathom how this game had fans. i remember seeing white women cosplay as the characters from ffx and always imagined they just did it to fit in, not because they liked it or anything. ffx was and still is a shit game from a shit franchise that still lives on when games like grandia or skies of arcadia died out

Rank from best to worst X, XII, XIII, XV

>corridor simulator.
Here we go again
Go play skyrim

In the FF with world maps you had one fixed destination and 90% of the world map was locked until you reached certain story points. In FFX you have lots of optional stuff to do as well and can explore optional areas. It's literally the same shit with a different skin but you are too dumb to see that.

>Game revolves about blitzball which is a broken and unappealing game
Your opinion is genuine trash. I honestly think this is a shitpost.

> Also the voice acting was seen as a negative and people were upset that pre-rendered backgrounds were replaced with shoddy early era 3d

Just like every Final Fantasy after seven had some people pissed off that some aspect of the game didn't match with their idea of what I Final Fantasy game should be.

Yeah the series is overrated, but I don't know why you're sperging out so much over it. (cue "Doyouknowwhereyouare.jpg)

Nostalgia from PS2 underages

>Game revolves about blitzball
Did your ADHD make you drop it 5 seconds in or something?
Why is Sup Forums so full of kids again today

Fuck didn't mean to quote you

It was impressive when it came out.
I thought it was meh, though I REALLY love the main battle theme for some reason.

ff10 is the kind of garbage that enabled ff13 to be made.

I figured, don't worry about it user.

95% you are underaged.

It wasn't considered shit at all when it came out. Voice acting was good at the time, and even the facial expressions—not so good today—were praised as making the characters come to life.

The graphics were easily better than most contemporary PS2 games. And the art style still holds up well.

Yes people missed the world map. But in general FFX was very well received.

>scores a single goal and hides behind the goalie until the time runs out
Pssssst.... nothin personnel kid

Now I know you didn't play. The real pros hoard the ball and pass it in between teammates to rack up experience points. And they recruit Nimrook and Brother.

Who did this? Blitzball was not a hard minigame and glitching it was a bitch move.

People only like FF because of world designs. Seriously, everyone talking about plot/characters/combat are all memeing, it's just world design. FFX has a pretty world, it'll do

The OST in general is pretty great. Still listen to it frequently even though I don't like the game much.

I'm asking for people with different opinions to explain them to me, not to not have them, you unironical moron

I played X when it came out. I thought it was mediocre back in the day, which is saying something since I was still in my teens and I was eager to like anything I plugged my controller into.
Hadn't touched it since but I remember liking the OST and the sphere system, so I recently replayed it. And wow. It's still shit.

VII and IX will never be topped.
