What was the point of Mantis in MGSV?
shotabait
To be retarded. I thought it was neat learning that mantis and liquid met when they were children but other than that it was fully retarded. He seemed to do some shit with Volgin??? Idk...retarded Kojima convoluted writing.
Making people clap when they remember the name. I'd say remember him, but them being the same person makes no sense.
You ever heard of a retcon?
"I dunno he just look cool lol"
- Hideo Kojima
The same point of Mantis in MGS4
>hey guys remember MGS1
To make you think it's some little girl with that faggoty ass red hair.
What was the point of mgsv
This desu. It's not like the Volgin plotline is particularly good or he's a good boss fight.
what is fanservice
What is deus ex machina?
>said in MGS1 that that was the first time he used his power to help someone
>saved Liquid twenty years prior
what did they mean by this
Seemingly to be a game with terrific gameplay and unfortunately poorly executed MGS-style story.
I mean I loved the game, playing it through again right now, and I love the long-as-fuck cutscenes, extremely long dialogue t.
tarantino fan but it just kinda ends... Not to mention Skullface is actually a really really shit 'villian' and the story, while outlandish as MGS should be, did not really feel like the fleshed out abstract stories in the other games. It's like it's weird for the sake of weird, with fire volgin and shit it's just out of place in a bad way.
Fucking great gameplay though holy shit.
I SAW MANTIS AND I CLAPPED
What was the point of MGSV?
It had great gameplay but no interesting places to use it on. Infiltrating the same outposts over and over again get old real fast.
Fan service, just like in MGS4.
This sums it up nicely. The gameplay was so fucking good but I hated that Demon Snake garbage. The fights against the Skulls on extreme were really, really fun as well.
>"I dunno he just rook coor ror"
fixed
Shitty English translation had never been canon.
Yeah that's fair, I get my enjoyment out of tackling outposts and missions in different ways, never really try for score or anything just fuck around. But yeah lots of potential going unused.
I really liked the bossfights, even the Volgin one was fun, they weren't old-school MGS-tier always but thats okay.
Also even though I knew the big twist I really enjoyed the not-actually Big Boss,
Demon Horn, Punished Snake thing for what it was, I guess. I love abstract twists like that.
turn out psycho mantis was oirish
