Select a sword, armor, and ring; all equipment of the same color will grant a set bonus. Rules are all at the bottom for the autists that like to program arena simulations for each weapon set. I'd personally go for red/grey/green or all grey for the damage output.

Actually wait, "critical hits always land" just means that you'll never miss a critical attack, not that every attack will be critical. It's still a 1% crit chance and crits still rely on accuracy to ensure you hit the target, but stunning them does help to prevent them from evading attacks. It's still a strong combination but (at least how I envisioned it) it's not as broken as you're thinking.

Diamond and Ghost seem to complement each other really well.
1-6 Red-Black Sword-Ring
Ghost and poison for maximum paralysis chance, I guess
Ethereal and Curse.
Ethereal so you can always hit them if they try to block. Ignores armor means ignores anything blocking right? Yeah. Curse so you can stack 50% reduced damage on the target. Hit them just twice and they're already way 1/4 of their strength. Only way they'll get themselves out of their situation is if they also have magic abilities that can stun or lock you.
Also Demon and Blood make for a good combo too. The more enemies you fight, the stronger you are. If there are ten enemies, that's 1000% weapon damage increase. With each hit, you'll keep increasing your health and be able to save it for the next battles. Eventually you can amass so much health, fighting might not even be a problem. You could face an entire army of thousands since your weapon damage will scale with them. Just make sure to take out the strongest guy first.

I'm too lazy to finish this old one that I started long ago, I was gonna add the "special" attacks (taunting, stealing, healing, smiting, etc) for each class but just consider the special stat as being those kinds of moves and spells.
Pick any three party members to make your team for the grand adventure.
Ex-Villain for maximum Special ability.
Berserker for maximum Physical Atk ability.
Wizard for (why isn't there a maximum) Magical Atk ability.
These three compliment each other by covering each other's weaknesses and so their grand adventure will soon further empower them as they learn much more.
Frost and Curse seems to neuter your enemies and is guaranteed unlike poison or critical hits
It's only guaranteed if you hit and only Diamond gives you critical hit chance. Fire for example always deals 150% weapon damage whether you hit or not.

Ex-Villain has three speed which is average-ish. Ex-Villain has gimmicks anyways, could probably pull something off.
Berserker has two speed which is under, but that's okay because he hits like a tank.
Same thing for the Wizard, charge a powerful spell, hits like a tank, or just debuff other people's speed.
The sleep one was tempting because I always wake up feeling awful, but the knowledge one seems like the best option. I'd probably use to get a head start on programming or something that'll help me in a job or cater to my hobbies.

Warrior, hunter, paladin. Good mix of damage, speed, and magic, they're all cool classes, and there's enough bases covered for the holy trinity.
This would be even better if you added more stuff to it like equipment, skills, health, mana, etc. Like maybe the Hero has a legendary sword, you totally want him to kick ass. While the Ex-Villain could be super charismatic and is a total hit at negotiations.

I think that's going a bit beyond the scope of simple game theory fun, I just wanted a simple "make a party" system with some varied generic classes. That's more of /tg/'s territory.
I spent a lot of time moving things pixel by pixel in paint and used a lot of copy+pasting.
