Monster Hunter World isn't a real monster hunter

Real MonHun games HAVE to look like they came out on the PS1.

Also they have to be really umcomfortable to play, what's this dualstick shit with the Dualshock 4? where's the claw? the handcramps?

Also why is the sound design so good? it really takes away from the MonHun experience.

The only complaint about the game is the lack of difficulty. Pretty much everything else is okay.

wanna start monhun, never played one, no ps4 so I wanted to play mh4u.

Is it a good game to play it idle? Of course not during hunts, but mostly early game grinding etc. Like watching tv on the meantime?

You actually have to be delusional to think MHW is significantly better or different than other MH games (which have all been shit).

Lance is [literally] the only good weapon in world. SnS is garbage cause any weapon can whetstone while drawn and theres barely reason to use items and using items has been made less dangerous so the timing of holstering your weapon to heal is no longer a benefit the SnS can reap. GS has been fucked into meme combos for damage. Dual blades didnt even get anything new.

4 maps, odagaron is the only cool monster, everything else is just wyvern reskins. Completely downgraded combat from XX and Generations. Screwed up quick focus for some shit persistent lock on mode that doesnt help at all with positioning. Guns are rooty tooty walk while shooty and the easiest to use they've ever been.

Only fuckin yellow squinty eyed capcom chinks would say the game is great. Its a beta for Generations with way too much focus on particle effects and polygonal detail.

Enjoy your eyecandy while you can. Theres a good reason fishing lures are shiny and pretty, and its cause you're a dumb fish getting baited into keeping capcom's doors open for one more year affording them more opportunity to piss in your face.

I don't oppose Monster Hunter ever having "better" graphics, but I unironically think the limited graphics of the old games gave them a unique and identifiable, quasi-stylized look. World is no doubt impressive looking but at the same time it looks like so many other modern video games.

I briefly played one entry in this series and still have multiple tunes jingles and sounds embedded in my memory.

Worse the X and XX? Those are the only monster hunter games I've ever felt moved the series in a bad direction. Every game feels like it makes a bunch of small improvements with the exception of the X games.

Jesus they fucked bowguns too. To craft higher level shots you need to combine shit with the lower level shots, like pierce 2 is (pierce 1 + garbage), which really reduces bowgun ammo variety in terms of practical usage.

This is an especially retarded game even by already retarded monster hunter standards.

The music isn't as good and the weapon sfx don't have as much oomph as the other games
