This is the greatest video game controller ever created

This is the greatest video game controller ever created.

>that face button layout
>those CLAKCLAK CLAKLAK CLAK triggers
>that face button layout
>that d-pad
It's shit.
This is not a Sup Forums echo chamber approved opinion.

...

>octogate

People on Sup Forums like to shit on it for it's unusual button layout, but I think it works pretty well for the types of games the controller was designed for.

Xbox 360 controller is better DESU.

I agree. It's so good that Nintendo has to resell them and make it compatible for their new consoles even today because that's all people want to use.

>Dat terible dpad
>Literally manlet tier c stick
>"We don't know what else to add so here's a tiny z button"
Here's your (You) OP. At least the main joystick held up pretty well after hundred of hours of playing Melee.

it's only good for like 5 games on the gamecube
I would say that the DS3 is the best controller

>only one real stick and it's bumpy
no

Lmao smash fags are delusional

>not liking analog triggers

...

Idk what it is but I hate the c stick

>bat top

>for the types of games the controller was designed for.
>this argument again
Aside from Smash (and even then I'm sure that's mostly because it's just what people have used for so long), virtually every Gamecube game plays better on any other modern controller. Games on other platforms don't play better with the Gamecube controller. It's garbage.

>Fragile as fuck
>Get dirty extremely fast
>Shit tier cable leads to controller issues
>Those fucking L and R buttons
>The d-pad that serves no purpose

>anything but octogate on fightstick

Too pleb to into fightan, Sup Forums?

I love analog triggers, you fucking retard. I just don't like gigantic clicky ones made for retards.

The best controller there ever was was the original xbox controller.

Sounds like you abuse controllers.

Because it's a tiny, garbage nub.

>20 posts in and no DS4
Have we finally learned how objectively shit Sony's controllers have been for the last 30 years?

Which layout is superior? Not what the buttons are labeled, but where the buttons physically are.
Hint: it's not the gamecube

>Playing gamecube game
>It's a vigorously spin the analog stick under your palm type of minigame

>complaining about CLAKCLAK CLAKLAK CLAK
>Outing yourself as not owning a mechanical keyboard
Why are you even here? It's obvious that you don't actually play video games.

Its GameCube. Having a hub button that is able to dual press with the other three face buttons is objectively better than not being able to do that.

>he thinks the Gamecube triggers sound the same as a mechanical keyboard
there's a pretty huge difference between a small, satisfying, tactile click and an abrasive, clumsy CLAK CLAK CLAK

the y and x buttons are amazing for games that need short press

...

...

I like the DS4. I just hate the battery life, the obnoxious light bar, and the fact that you can't breath on it while it's set down on a couch or table without the triggers pressing.

BANANA

Not an argument

>gamecube
>thumb firmly placed on a, the button you use the most
>the rest of the buttons are easily accessible with very minor movements
>ps2
>thumb placement is at the very bottom of the controller where you have to either make larger movements to hit triangle or or keep your thumb oddly placed in the middle of everything and lightly tap every button with the edges of your thumb
the choice is obvious

joysticks are the best

why would you want all your buttons to be exactly the same. i wish modern controllers had the 4 button layout of the gamecube.

the other stuff is probably better done on modern stuff.

As much as I like the gamecube controller it's not the best.
Depending on the game you're playing you need a specific controller.
The gamecube is good for smash and platformers
The PS4 ones have both functional d-pads and accurate disposition of the second analog stick, which both the N and Xbox lack
Xbox ones have better back triggers that don't get stuck like the ones of the ps3/4
And PC for shooters and the arcade pad for fighters.

It was really fucking weird for 3rd party shit, but it felt perfect with any game it was specifically designed for. I use a 360 controller with Dolphin and it just feels off, games like Melee and Metroid Prime were designed to use that big fat A button for mashing.

#metoo

the face of a man who doesn't know how to argue

>not using a square gate
LOL!

Thankfully this was hardly an issue since the GC barely had any third party games after 2003. kinda sucked only having a gamecube as a kid

I'm interested in this but it looks like everything is too cramped

Or you're a shitter blaming the controller instead of his own ineptitude.

Dispute this, retards.

>all controllers are good, one can't be better than another.
Fucking idiot.

That's not what I said. Do I have to spell it out for you again?
You're shit at videogames.
>You're shit at videogames.
You're shit at videogames.
>You're shit at videogames.

If that's what you honestly got out of my post, you're only proving that Ninten year olds have to resort to ridiculous feats of mental gymnastics to make any sort of argument.

The Dualshocks are the definitive video game controllers. Everything else is a gimmick for the sake of being different and while they can be enjoyable, they can never be the best.

It's just too bad there are so few games to play with them

if that's what you think is necessary to hit the b button there's no point in trying to explain to you.

You have great taste. Spice also best color.

while I don't think the gamecube is the best because it lacks buttons, the analog triggers are decent.
The real drawing point of this thread was to talk about how much cooler the yellow controller was compared to everything else.

You need to try it on Steam. Works like a dream.

Why the fuck would anyone ever be proud of being good at videogames?

Triggers were flames, face buttons we're idiosyncratic and fun, c stick similar, and handles were narrow and long, designed for bosses really. With a proper 2nd analog, I'd probably find a way to use it on my PlayStation

>yellow

>not the Wavebird
