>lawbreakers dead
>paragon dead
The hero shooter meme is dying. And the industry is better off without them.
Lawbreakers dead
Now if MOBAs and battle royale nonsense dies off maybe we'll get out of this shit state of gaming.
Former won't lead to the latter but I'm still waiting on it.
Overwatch won't die dude. It has fap material which is what people look for.
Game is bad but people will still flock to it just because of that fact.
Yeah and what would replace those you faggots
>two poorly implemented hero shooters means the genre is dying
nah its fine
It's not dying, it's consolidating around the ones that people actually care about, since they're multiplayer games that live and die based on how many people play them
The more people that play a given game, the more people who are interested in hero shooters or online team games in general are going to flock to the one with the most players.
Hence why you only really have League and Dota and sort-of HotS as the main MOBAs when you had a couple of other contenders a couple years ago.
The Hero Shooter is focusing in around Overwatch and maybe that other free one
MOBAs are well on their way to the grave already. It's replaced by Fortnite/PUBG. Whether or not that's better is subjective.
>MOBAs
>Ever dying
MOBAs have been hot shit since wc3, what makes you think they'll die now?
>Battle Royale dies
>Implying something even more shitty not taking its place
May I remind you that battle royale spawned from "survival games" AKA hit the rock with the pick axe so you can go off and destroy some random guys stuff that he built by hitting the rock with the pick axe.
Do you really want that again?
>Paragon killed itself with v42 update
It still hurts
I have JNig pics that can't be posted because they're around 15MBs in size.
Exactly, it was the same with MMOs - after wow blew up everyone wanted some of the action, however people had already gravitated towards the big titles. Hence we saw loads of mmos either shut down or go f2p several years later.
Mobas are stronger than ever
There's fucking money in it now
Also,
>wanting these containment genres to end
No man
And WoW is still alive and kicking
I want this mercy to give me paizuri
Does this whole thread seriously think paragon was a hero shooter? It was pretty clearly a moba.
Better games. You can't really go much worse than those, not unless you actively try to make the shittiest game possible that is.
Link to album pls.
Ain’t that the truth. Fuck V42.
A moba can be a hero shooter.
USED to be a MOBA. Every update that came out for the game they slowly turned it into a half baked moba/half baked hero shooter. Hence why the game fucking died. Game didn’t excel in any of those genres. Shame because Legacy era Paragon had a fuck load of potential.
>When Battleborn is so dead you forgot to list it
What exactly did Paragon do that made it go an hero? I mean, it was pretty graphically, but the gameplay looked like shit and half the characters/kits just looked dull.
nobody knew it existed
when i heard 'paragon was kill' i had to look it up to see what it was
This
the rule of 2 is real shit, not just star wars shit. there can only be 2 big games of one genre going at a time, any others are doomed to fail.
hero shooters - TF2 and overwatch
MMORPGs - world of warcraft and FFXIV
MOBAs - league and dota
battle royales - pubg and fortnite
brodude military shooters - cod and battlefield
western rhythm games - guitar hero and rockband
Less emphasis on taking lanes and greater emphasis and reward for killing other players, to put it ultra simply.
Essentially the game went from strategic play earning you the win to whichever team had the most kills got the win.
>we devolve back into the brown and bloom era of CoD
>hero shooters
should be ow and paladins
add
>class shooters
tf2 and siege
aside from shooter archetypes and gamemodes tf2 and ow don't have much in common
the rest of the list looks good
OB64 was a mistake.
>2013 neo/v/: "I hope MOBAS die so we can get back to REAL gaming!"
>2018 neo/v/: "shit mobas are relevant, uh uh what do I see on twitch now? I want IT TO DIE TOO!"
The best it could happen is for the industry to die.
Vidya works best as a small, unpopular, low budget hobby
...
These were DOA games though. Pretty much no marketing and high minimum specs.
>battleborn
Agreed.
I don't even know what Battle Royale is.
Is it something like onslaught on UT2K4?
Lawbreakers was the best MP shooter in 2017. Period.
What if we took the general concept of hunger games and mafe it into a video game?
Now what if everyone else started doing it?
Never read or watched that either. Sounds gay.
>Vidya works best as a small, unpopular, low budget hobby
Go play your shitty indie games.
I want this Mercy to give me Naizuri ;)
>tfw you can't fap to 3dpd mercy without checking who the cosplayer is (and what gender they ACTUALLY are) first
I hate this website
If you can't tell why do you care?
Because there's the prospect of finding out afterwards
It did amuse me when /s/ had a butt picture, someone asked the gender, someone else lied and said it was a dude and the first guy thanked him and didn't fap.
I came here for the milkies and this is the only picture? NANI the FUCK.
...
God she's ugly, but she got a body, which what really counts for cosplay tbqh.
fpbp
/thread
fake tits? check
balding? check
>dude fuck these genres, they're popular
...
...
musou are still being shat out like crazy
not really
the best hero shooter still alive and get a br mode soon
cringe
Overwatch is already dying, its a meme to say the game sucks so normies are going to start hating it too
...
You're pretty much correct. I played on and off between November 2015 and July 2017, mostly because my roommate only had a PS4 and it had crossplay between PS4 and PC.
Everyone's going to put on their red-tinted goggles and cry about it was a good game that dindu nuffin, but it honestly was never good.
It showed potential at times but Epic was so fucking awful at development. The graphics were nice but the art style and character design were both so goddamn generic. They also took out pretty much everything that made the game unique at the beginning as well.
Just about every other MOBA has at least one character, usually a lot more, that drastically change the way you play the game. Paragon didn't have anything close to that. There was nothing that made you say "Wow, that's unique."
>hirez
just no
she perfect for big black cock
more pls
How much does blacked.com pay you guys?
That's actually an interesting point.
There's money in battle royale games as well. Not as much for sure, but it's starting up.
Hirez is shit but that does not change the fact that Paladins is the most decent hero shooters
>Battle royales
>Doesn't even list the top two in terms of daily active users properly
Better games how?
but siege is doing better than ever
source?
Where does Splatoon and CS fit into this?
Cuckwatch is not going to die within the next three years no matter how much you want it to. Sup Forums has been predicting the death of WoW since 2006 and it's still going at around a million subscribers 12 years later.
Splatoon is kind of it's own thing since it's on console. I personally play Splatoon, TF2 AND Overwatch. They're all really good for different reasons.
Anyone else feel like Fortnite and other BR games don’t really have the sustainability to keep going this strong? I dunno, game just seems too simple for me. You think people like me so much because they start playing again as soon as they lose? I don’t really get that, what’s the point of winning if you nobodies around to see you win?
Siege is a glorified hero shooter and it's still alive.
NebulaNeko in case anyone is wondering.
Then upload them to Mega or some shit.
For the sheer thrill of being the last player standing out of a hundred or the last team standing. it's bullocks though
