firewatch

What is Dude Sex Human Revelation?

>nearly
Can't nearly ruin a game that was already ruined 20 minutes in

"Nearly" means that the ending only came close to ruining the game. Firewatch was genuinely ruined by its ending.

What is Star Ocean 3?

Half Life 1

ME3? Bioshock Infinite?

...

Mass Effect 3

Is it that bad?

What happened at the end? I digged the artstyle and music but holy shit was it boring. I couldn't finish.

Xenoblade 2

Destiny

Every dang it Ron Paul game

Nearly ruined, not saved by.

ME3's ending ruined the entire series - past, present, and future. nothing "nearly" about it

Idiots who can't read

White Night

It was ruined way before the ending.

>nearly
Oh. Kane and Lynch 2 then.

cant be ME3 because the ending DID ruin the entire game (and trilogy)

i'll say infamous 2. sorry, but john turned out to not at all be "the beast" that hunted kessler for years and mercilessly wiped everything out and the whole story turned into a copy of xmen, only with the added "mutants simply existing right now is killing everyone else so one of these groups needs to completely die off". you get feels on the bad route for killing zeke, but all u get on the good path is the hero dying. then you learn in the sequel more conduits are born anyways and now things are worse for everyone.

The MC and Setsuna (the girl who has to sacrifice herself) travel to the past and finish off the big baddy, instead of fucking letting him die Setsuna takes pity on him and takes his soul into her, and asks you to kill her. You do the deed and remain stuck in the past, alone, since they ditched the rest of the party when they traveled back in time.

Soured the entire fucking game for me.

Ghosts 'n Goblins

...

>offer no postgame resolution
>weird split personality shenanigans
>weird unnecessary world rebirth thing
>phoned in tower collapse to prompt 'real' conflict
>deus ex machina ruins any semblance of sacrifice

bruh the ending was a giant turd

Halo 2

South Park fractured but whole?

>Bioshock Infinite
Game was ruined long before the ending my dude

What is Steins;Gate?
>10/10 up to the "True Ending" which is a terribly written piece of shit in which the forced worst girl wins

Borderlands 1

Oblivion had a shit ending and a shit main quest

>game doesn't even have an ending

WE WERE ALL ORPHANS TOGETHER. I wouldn't say the final 75% of the game ruined FF8 but it was trying real hard to.

Mass Effect ruined not only Mass Effect in general for me, but all of Bioware and Western video games

Final 25% not 75% my bad

FFVIII was garbage, no one thing ruined it.

The obvious answer is ME3 but honestly ME2 already ruined the series. The only good game was ME1.

>i didn't like it therefore it's bad
needs more buzzwords mate

>ME1
>good
ayyyi yagspurro

It was better than 2 or 3. Perhaps that's damning with faint praise but nonetheless it's true.

Megaman Soccer

Game just returns you to main menu with no credits or anything because the game is incomplete.

Is this game good?

Yes and it's short, go play it

It's kino.

>she takes pity on the big bad
>but they end up killing him anyway

What? Am I reading this right? What was even the point then if all that accomplishes is just to have her die a pointless death?

i got a better answer that nearly ruined the entire series
Danganronpa V3

Himegoto: Juukyusai no Seifuku

Halo 2 ending was sick wtf u on about m8

This
>thermal clips
>chest high walls
>recruitment and loyalty missions instead of exploration and actual plot
>retarded final boss
Inb4 muh suicide mission
I know it's great but it's fucking pointless

METAL.
GEAR.
SOLID.
5.
Oh wait, we're talking about merely "nearly" ruining it? Oh okay, I take back my answer.

Because MUH BITTERSWEET ENDING

I didn't want to go into much more detail since it would take to long, but basically the big baddy was a kid who could use magic a long time ago when no one else could, so he was kept alive and experimented on endlessly, he eventually killed them all and then tried to kill everyone by sending monsters out into the world. Setsuna's sacrifice is a ritual performed to keep the monsters at bay, but at the end of the game you discover you and your party have been on this journey countless times, and have been given the choice to either kill this guy, thus ending the cycle, or sacrifice Setsuna, which is the option they've always chosen, due to them failing to kill the boss would result in the end of the world.

However each time she is sacrificed, it isn't enough and the world is destroyed, but this time keeper bitch keeps rewinding time so you can try again. So when you kill him and learn his story, she takes pity on him in order to comfort him in his last moments, but in doing so becomes one with him, so you're forced to kill her.

-- A Hat in Time
-- Oblivion (not necessarily story wise, but gameplay wise)
-- Fable 2

Fucking shit taste confirmed.

Kotor2

Forgive me if I missed some details, it's late and I was so fucking mad when the credits started rolling, that's the gist of it though.

I remember being intrigued by it's reveal trailer, then it got released and I saw the retarded half-baked text adventure at the beginning that totally evaporated any opportunities to slowly and dramatically reveal the main character's back story. That was pretty stupid.
