Shoot anywhere with tranq dart then roll into them to knock them down and instantly put them to sleep. Can use the auto aim to abuse this mechanic.

Avoid being seen, kill them, hold them up and/or CQC them, shoot barrel or make noise to create a distraction. Just become the legend already user.

Just play the subsistence version if you're really having this much trouble, also keep in mind enemies are much more sensitive here than in V so you'll proceed with caution more.

Also the thermal goggles help big time so get them from one of the areas before the Rassvet factory place you are in

I emulate evergrace that requires pressure sensitive attacks to conserve stamina with an analogue trigger instead of a face button. Just wondering if 2 triggers is enough to cover the pressure sensitive actions for emulating it.

The square button is used to aim, shoot and throw grenades. Without pressure sensitivity you won't be able to aim automatics without firing and won't be able to alter your grenade arch. You might not be able to hold a guard without choking them out too, sorry it's been a while. The analogue triggers let you lean left/right/up while aiming.

Sounds manageable but damn it might be more worth it to just get an adapter for a ps2 controller.
Time to do research if they even transmit the signal right.

No, you have proper third person camera.

Just crawl with dpad or tranquilize everyone and if you get spotted, continue to run to the next area/hiding spot. It's a really short game if you don't bother with "stealth" approach.

360 controllers don't have pressure sensitivity.

I tried emulating this but couldn't get far without pressure sensitive buttons.. Is there any way to play this with a xbox one controller? What one are you using?

I don't remember there being one.

Run n gun is the worst thing you could be doing in an MGS game, so you're not missing out on anything. I never use machine guns when playing 1-3.

just run up behind people and grab them, snake is a pacifist so he'll use pressure points to knock them unconscious.
