What you're playing is a bastardized version of the original concept.

>only talks to you if you're a charming Chad

What a slut

The opposite.
You don't even phase her unless you're of the highest caliber.

The entire point of you being charming is that she doesn't turn you down like her other orbiters

Just like real life

Roasties in a nutshell

It hurt especially bad when no other girls in the team is any good.

On the contrary only roasties and ugly girls have no standards

Literally reality. How in the hell would she know if my charm level is high, when I look like Harry Potter after getting out of the shower?

>That image

Fuck i want it so bad. What would her skillset favor?

what was the original concept?

Literally Makoto with longer hair
Whats the point

wrong

>Anons getting baited by the same shit AGAIN

There's a reason everything after the first palace feels like out of place trash. The concept art is a good place to start.

Randomly calling out fantasy shit during her attacks. Saying the number damage out loud. Antagonizing the shadow versions of people in Mementos.

>Saying the number damage out loud
>VA would have to record yelling every number from zero to like 2000

Not him but give tell you. She was originally supposed to be a party member, ALONG with Makoto (or their original concept for Makoto) but they felt like having two like-minded characters as party members who do the same job would be too stifling during convos, so she was turned into a confidant and Makoto was edited to be the only party member. Sae was also supposed to be a possible love interest and would take up Sojima's role as your caretaker, which would make much more sense with her job. She would teach you coffee and do just as much stuff as Sae would and Makoto would still be her sister as well. This was scraped and we got what we got. Its why Sae's S.link feels so bland, rushed and nonsensical, coupled with the fact that it skips like 5 levels and maxes itself. The most biggest change to P5's story is that it was original supposed to take place all over the world. The Phantom thieves would actually travel to other countries and take on big guys that, thus spreading their name further. Its why the whole Hawaii shit doesn't really make sense, with everyone there asking about the Phantom thieves like its not only a Japan craze.

Based Soejima making sure his waifu is the one true girl

You say that as if it's worse than best girl being playable. Best girls have to be unplayable.

Also she is 4th or 5th.

Takemi is first.

I'll just leave this here.

What are you on about? Sojima was still going to be a character and so would anyone connected to them. They didn't remove S.links, just re-purposed them and made them less interesting to ease their workload. You would have had one more party member and Sojima's (Sae's) role during the whole reveal would have been much more involved, since she would have lived with you AND worked with you as a caretaker on top of working on the phantom thieves case. The whole situation with her trying to save you would have felt like more than just a whim move, since she actually had a relationship with the MC before all this, or as his lover depending on if you maxed her. Even Morgana was slated to be much more interesting, rather than just another Teddie kind of char.

They only recycled her design. We don't know what her personality was like originally, but they changed it when they turned her into a normal Confidant.

How is makoto and hufumi alike? Chuuni shot vs student president. Besides having two smart girls in different schools with a rivalry is easy writing

They're job as the planning chick would have been the same, which Atlus felt was dumb. In case you missed it, Makoto's code name as "Queen" was one of the thing carried over from Hifumi. Hifumi didn't play shoji in the original concept but most of her personality traits did carry over, such as her wild fanficting, which is mentioned on that page as her radical-mind. She refers to her shogi pieces like a kingdom doing battle and would have done similar during planning. Queen was supposed to reflect her position during said planning. They at least referenced it in her new character as the Shogi queen. Makoto would have probably bit a bit more straight laced and Hifumi would have been the more wilder one, like ying and yang. It would have been much more interesting watching them bigger between calls on missions, if you ask me.

That would have made more sense. And having makoto as the support instead of futaba would be okay.

They still need a slurry flirt girl.

I like Futaba though. Her dynamic with the rest of the group was better than Makoto's. Makoto never really seemed to connect with anyone. There was the one scene with Ann, but beyond that, there was no real chemistry.

Slutty flirty girl. Worse than rise. I want a huge slut in the team.

We all agree this would’ve been her Persona, yes? Designed like a overdesigned Marvel superhero too.

Just wait until the inevitable update. She'ell get her arc.

Source or fuck off

>Texts MC lewd things daily
>Tries to get you alone when exploring palaces/mementos
>Random events where you wake up with her in your bed
The other girls get jealous and start doing the same thing

This needs to be a thing.

>That would have made more sense.
A lot of things would have made more sense in the original story structure. The MC "befriending" Goro before he even reaches out to you would have made more sense him meeting us early on thanks to his already established partnership with Sae. Instead he meets us over pancakes and then decides to spew information or random convos with us when he visits Lablanc. Sae's depression would have much more sense in the original concept, having to take care of some would-be delinquent child maybe due to some boss BS on top of her sister... rather than the one they gave us, where she's upset over taking care of her own underage sister. A lot of things would have made more sense because you'd be meeting them through Sae. Original Sae loved coffee and thought you it, so you'd very likely run into Leblanc and Sojima as a result of her having you tag along once. You would have ran into Futaba's situation as a result of Sae looking into it. You would have met up with Haru as a result of Sae or her partner looking into the death and worker abuse case. The original concept left way more room to establish why you run into these people, while the thing we got has you meet almost everyone on a whim. The whole Goro seeking you out thing and Sae being upset over her sister alone felt like the biggest giveaway of Atlus quickly moving over plot points without editing a character's reasoning to fit the lack of the MC being involved.

>I like Futaba though.
Futaba would have still been a party member though.

>Makoto never really seemed to connect with anyone.
Because Makoto's original big thing was supposed to be her bickering with original Hifumi.

How about you follow the post chain, you Mongoloid? Besides the post I made showing the quick summary book image, there are minor Q&A's that were made that answered this, the art book, and tons of other stuff that flat out gave us this information. Are you really this retarded? Hifumi and Sae's original role isn't news to at least 95% of the people who have been keeping up with these P5 threads.

but I'll humor you a bit more, faggot. youtube.com/watch?v=IstQEy_G0Yg

It would have been Joan of Arc

To be honest, there always seemed to be a bit of interesting dynamics on the verge of sprouting with Makoto, but nothing ever came of them. For instance, when she bonded with Ann, I expected there to be more interactions between them, especially since they were the only girls at the time. I was wrong. And then she tried to act like an assertive big sister for Futaba, trying to get her to come out of her shell and being all sorts of supportive of her, and I thought things might snowball from that. But again, nothing. Every single time something interesting seemed to happen with her, it amounted to absolutely nothing.

I like texting lewd things like holding hands.

She's a great party character though.

>To be honest, there always seemed to be a bit of interesting dynamics on the verge of sprouting with Makoto, but nothing ever came of them. For instance, when she bonded with Ann

For me it felt more like they were adding these instances so Makoto at least felt like she had a place in the group to make up for the lack thereof. Then again, maybe these small scenes were in the original concept of the game on top of her original role with Hifumi, to further give her more interaction with the members.

The lack of chemistry really bothers me about Makoto. And Ann didn't fare much better either, considering how unnecessary she feels at times

The entire p5 cast didn't mesh well. Even ryuji felt awkward at times. Like his just there to take jokes and hits from others. Unlike p4 where you had banter between yusuke kanji and rise

I've always imagined her having Almighty spells. No affinities towards any particular spells, giving her no weaknesses, but no way to hit weak points either unless she crits. To counter this, she'd have Rebellion/Revolution, and she'd learn Apt Pupil at a high level. She would start out with Life Drain, Spirit Drain, Megido, Apt Student, and Rebellion.

End-game Hifumi would have Black Viper, Antichton (other Personas like Shiva could also have the skill), Revolution, Apt Pupil, Debilitate, Spell Master, Thermopylae, and Enduring Soul.
Her physical weapon would be a Naginata. Her "gun" would be shuriken.

The fuck? That's too strong. Also, Black Viper is a unique skill. Only Satan can learn it naturally.

>Play P5 again
>Figure I'll go for a different girl this time
>Medjed arc starts
>Honestly wanna go for Futaba again...

Fuck. But I won't be swayed.

That doesn't even fit her character. She should have insane speed and all the status effect attacks. She is supposed to be a commander so having her start battles and cause havoc to set up the rest of the party would be better. Then her 2 attacks can be a life and so drain as well as a regular almighty spell. Or an attack that does 3x damage as long as the enemy is afflicted with a status.

Shell be great against trash mobs and horrible against .big bosses.

It should of been apparent to ANYONE that Persona 5 would be lackluster to what it was hyped up to be. Any game that has YEARS of delays to it always ends up crappy compared to what it would of been like, ie FFXIII Verses to FFXV.

That's why Kingdom Hearts 3 will have a shitty story and gameplay that any other game in the series.

Makoto and Mona are already speedy. Anything faster would be unnecessary.

Really? I thought his unique skill was Morning Star. But I didn't even mention her stats.

She'd have the second highest magic stat after Ann, her Physical attack would be mediocre, she'd have bad endurance, above average speed, and average luck. So she would be a glass cannon that's only REALLY effective against enemy ambushes, and good against bosses. She'd be pretty much a dumb pick for a regular party member while fighting random fodder, unless she is overleveled as fuck.

>She'll be great against trash mobs and horrible against.big bosses.

Wouldn't stop me from making her a permanent party member.

Nor I. Because she is the best girl.

>Wasting skill slots on HP Drain and SP Drain
Why.

You're giving her Almighty skills AND Spell Master. She wouldn't even need endurance, she'd wipe out most mobs in one strike. On top of that, she'd be absurdly useful against bosses because you can't crit them. Almighty spells are generally stronger than their equivalent elemental spells, with Megidolaon being more powerful than Maragidyne and Black Viper being more powerful than Inferno. Your idea for her character set-up is far too unbalanced. To begin with, why would you even give her Spell Master? No other character gets any passive skills much better than their respective elemental Amp.

It's all for Persona 5 Crimson you faggots.
God, I leave Sup Forums for 3 months and it seems you people have become even more naive

Who knows I'm just tossing things like how ill toss her salad.

>It's all for Persona 5 Crimson you faggots.
>Dumb reddit created P5C rumor
>ACTUALLY believing they'd basically rewrite an entire game's story for another p4g-like re-release

Imagine drowning in your irony to the point retardation

>ACTUALLY believing they'd basically rewrite an entire game's story for another p4g-like re-release
It's not like they'll change the whole story though.
They could just add her in like that chick in P4G. Of course for Sae's case, adjustments have to be made, if they would include her at all.

Because I don't know how else to make her stand out, and giving her Almighty Boost/Amp is more broken in my mind.

Citation needed, the artbook says that Hifumi was originally a completely different character and she wasn't into shogi before they rewrote her.

You shouldn't give her either. Almighty Boost is unique to Messiah. In order for any other Persona to learn it, it has to either be inherited from Messiah or Network Fusion'd. Spell Master isn't as unique, but the earliest level you can get it at without paying is 86, since Uriel is the weakest Persona that can obtain it. Tsukiyomi Picaro can get it earlier, but that's a DLC Persona.

>she wasn't into shogi before they rewrote her.
Ignore this, I can't read.

You're full of shit. The original idea for the game was about a backpacking trip around the world, and is unknown if the Phantom Thieves were still intended for it. After the 2011 earthquake they shifted the premise back to Japan after seeing the crisis of confidence in the aftermath of the disaster.

There was supposed to be another party member, but they were cut very early in development with the rough character design being re-purposed for Hifumi since they liked it

>They could just add her in like that chick in P4G
That was absolute shit, kys waifushitter

>but they were cut very early in development with the rough character design being re-purposed for Hifumi since they liked it
Read the post with the book post.

I dunno man, you don't really make a good point given that Magic isn't all that broken in P5. Me giving her a more SMT-esque moveset doesn't make her as broken as Ryuji. Plus, she doesn't even have concentrate.

Isn't Morgana really cute in the maid dress?

You shouldn't give her skills that no other party member can compare to for some arbitrary reason like that.

I don't find her unbalanced. It'd by like Yusuke having Arms Master.

Demolishing every mob in one strike isn't unbalanced to you?

Come to think of it, Hifumi's Confidant boosts seemed a little overly useful.

Switching party members is very underrated

No, because those are the skills she ends up with, not the ones she begins with.

I feel like most of the P5 could actually befriend one another and hang out without the MC being the glue keeping them together, unlike P4 where everyone just devolves into small groups (Yukiko-Chie, Yosuke-Teddy) or are even on their own (Kanji) if MC isn't around.

This miscommunication is painful to watch.
Soejima != Sojiro.

I doubt it. See, while you're right about the P4 group dissolving into small groups, P5 doesn't even have that. Yusuke's not particularly close to anyone aside from Joker, and is never seen hanging out with anyone else. Futaba's too afraid to walk six feet from the cafe without Joker holding her hand.
