why is this boss considered hard? literally go to the side and hit it. spiders just watch there in the background
This boss was harder than it looks
>Villain
It's not even an antagonist, just an obstacle.
Beating this boss was the moment when Bloodborne went from good to masterpiece
*teleports away*
*rains massive icicles on you from the other side of the room*
Griffith
he only teleports away like twice and by the last he has very little hp
for the icicles you literally need to mash the dodge button and they dont hit you.
or just run towards him
maybe im biased because i put a lot on stamina and hp but this boss was really easy
Rom's attacks are so clearly telegraphed if you learn them, I still remember to run away if she rolls on her back and get close if she rears up and I haven't played the game in over a year
>run
>dodge icicles
how is this hard to you?
Rom is female
This is now an I can't believe how much you suck at bloodborne thread.
She was hiding shit behind my back
She's hard because the spider summons are bullshit.
Their range is ridiculous, they do a disgustingly large amount of damage, and they can easily gang up on you. Not to mention, taking the time to properly kill the spider summons is tedious as fuck and never feels worth it.
that she did nothing wrong is the point, you're manipulated to kill her to raise the blood moon so the elder gods can try to make a human/elder god hybrid
>Hold Circle to Not Die: The Boss
This boss fight was really stupid.
I got it on my first try when I went blind, but after hearing all the whining online I was never able to beat it again alone. It's all in your head.
You have to kill the 100 spiders per wave before you can even think about taking on the main boss
For me it's not so much that it's hard, it's that the spiders around it can straight up one shot you with little you can do about it. Like even if you're ready to move and all that, their range and near-instant death attacks can be bullshit. Kind of like how the dogs with the Capra demon can utterly rng get you killed right after entering the door with little to nothing you can do about it.
I liked the fight, just wish the i knew that the bloodmoon would rise earlier, because I hadn't saved anyon by sending them to cathedral ward. Hell, I didn't even know that was possible. I am now completely unsure on what to do after beating her, any tips?
There are always other playthroughs. Now go out there an just kill a few beasts in Yarghul
Nothing personnel kid
>never feels worth it
because it's not
had it coming, spiders are gross
Yeah, but which ones? I killed ebrietas, and that took me a long ass time with many day long pauses ( i think it took me 2 weeks all in all). And she isnt even obligatory to continue the story it seems. I also killed the king of cainhurst, he was defeated during my first try, si I think i am overleveled for the occasion. He wasnt obligatory either, it seems. I have run through yaharghul, but Im to scared to run too far in, what should I be looking for? The respawning enemies and those tentacle monster scare me
the archetypal "'villain' who did nothing wrong"
t. Someone who has never done FRC Rom
FUCK
THAT
FIGHT
Are you kidding? Not sure if you're being ironic or not, I honestly can't tell.
Just keep going trough yahargul, the game is pretty linear from were you are right now. Nothing in yahargul is even remotely as difficult as the cainhurst boss
It's hard because you have to keep doing the same thing over and over for each wave which is killing all the spiders.
That's not hard, that's tedium. That means you have no attention span.
>tfw his normalfag brother ratted him out because he was jealous of uncle ted's NEET cabin life
Forreal? Thanks, ill try and do that rn
Never killed them all in any of my kills, become better perhaps?
>very literally called idiot spider
>villian
And its not the monsters that scare me, its me dying and forgetting where I went that spooks me. Also the fact that they respawn. Do you know what stats I should raise to efficiently use the chikage? It seems pretty good so far
...
Are you completely new to the series?
If you look at the chickage on the equipment screen the game will tell you which stats it scales with and how well. The chickage scales best with bloodtinge, but it does also have some dex scaling, which is a really neat one to level because that's what determines your visceral damage.
Yeah but the boss rains ice meteors on you while you're trying to kill them. Thus, it is hard.
Is this a joke?
The thing I don't understand is why that fuckoff divebomb attack the little spiders do. Seriously that shit is one hit kill no matter what.
This is the first soulsborne game I've ever owned, besides borrowing DaS 2 and playing until the starting town before giving it back to him because he wanted to play again. I have no idea on what im doing. I'm not even sure I can do the dlc yet, since I bought it after activating the bloodmoon or whatever its called
>ever getting hit by shitty spiders
...
See in the middle panel near the bottom under "Attribute Bonus"? A higher letter means that the weapon does more damage based on that skill. So in the image shown the only skill with a letter at all is bloodtinge, which means the weapon gets bonus damage from having a higher bloodtinge skill. The attribute bonus also generally goes up when you upgrade a weapon, along with the base damage of the weapon.
The chikage does regular damage (skill scaling) in the one handed mode, and blood damage (bloodtinge scaling) in the two handed mode, you can see the scaling at each weapon level here:
bloodborne.wiki.fextralife.com
So to answer your question, you should level skill and/or bloodtinge, depending on how you use your weapon.
Rom is a definitive souls boss, the degree to which your mileage varies is one of the most extreme in the series. Some people can kill it in 20 seconds with a fast skill weapon and some bolt paper, others get gang raped by spiders and meteor spam.
Now I feel really stupid, I thought strength was the only stat that raised damage. I only have 15 skill and 12 bloodhinge points, but I have 35 str and 30 endurance( what I think serves as dex). Is there a way to respec in the game? Because paying 40k souls per level up is expensive rn
I don't think it's hard at all, but I could never just run up to her. I just clear out all the spiders first.
No there's no way to respec but you could always switch to a strength scaling weapon of which there are plenty of that are very fun to use, or you could start a new playthrough but I'd recommend finishing this one, getting a feel for the game, and then doing a second playthrough afterwards (which you should do regardless because it's definitely worth it). The game has good replay value in the variety of weapons/movesets and builds you can use. Try to finish this run as blind as you can, and then look online for things that you missed like items/areas because you're going to miss things, everybody does. Personally I'm on my fifth playthrough and the most fun I had was doing a strength/arcane build, but just try new shit out and find what you like
To just run up you need to be able to dish out at least half her health bars worth of damage in one go, that way she only teleports once. Beastblood pellets, bolt paper, and a fast weapon help. You can continue attacking her as she fades.
That's like saying the dwarf in the flask did nothing wrong
She grew eyes and ascended to a higher form of being. She sought to protect humanity from the malevolent moon presence. The hunter is the bad guy who has been duped into killing her.
The Chalice Dungeon one is downright infuriating.
ALL in monster huntre
How much should my weapons be upgraded after rom but before that boss in yaharghul? Currently sitting with a +8 chikage, +7 tonitrus, axe and saw spear, a +4 reiterpallasch and a +6 ludwigs blade. Should I upgrade the guns too?
