I'm getting kind of in an existential depression lately, I haven't been playing games in quite a while and honestly I haven't bought one in a long time so I have this huge backlog that I feel I should mitigate yet I won't do that because I'm both apathetic and filled with worries.

It's a mixture of feelings that don't seem to end in any way. I blame the industry multiple times for being what it is but it's ultimately on my part that what used to bring me joy and fun doesn't do that anymore.

you're just getting burned out on vidya. Happens to the best of us. Take a break, come back when something you're looking forward to is about to come out. You'll feel much better, promise. Also, don't worry about your backlog. I have at least 1,000 games in my backlog, but I'm not gonna beat myself up over not finishing them, that'll only make you hate the games.

Play what you want, when you want, how you want. It's supposed to be a FUN hobby, don't take it too seriously

It always irks me when people complain about pricing in non-AAA games. You can make $20 in like an hour, it's not a big investment.

The thing is I'm cheap as fuck and won't shell out money for ANYTHING before I've researched the shit for hours on end finding out if I'll like it or not and even I think 20 Chuck e cheese tokens is a pretty fair price for a game.
