Splatoon 2

Was it really a sequel, or was it just Nintendo porting over a popular online game before they shut down the Wii U

Yeah it's just a port. I really, really hope we end up getting 3 and it's actually a sequel.
If it had custom matches between friends like other shooters do, what would be some stuff you'd be interested in?
I'll just get weird with it since I feel that's where the fun of custom matches comes from.
>Both teams start with their half of the map already completely inked
>Players can never run out of ink
>Players can never get splatted
>Every player starts with their Special fully charged
>Players can super jump anywhere throughout the entire match
>Adjustable respawn (spectrum between no time at all and longer than the match itself)
>Asjudtable speed (Proportional to their buffs of course, spectrum between only technically moving and practically too fast to see)
>Free for all (Each player has their own color)

Funfact: Splatoon 1 is still $60 on the eshop and at Target. The same price as Splatoon 2.

Also, it's obvious that 2 is just a enhanced port.

I read that as “completely naked”

...

It's pretty shit as sequels go honestly. Plays a lot worse than 1 without the persistent gamepad map.

Just because gameplay elements didn't change radically, doesn't make it a port.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it

I love this chocolate octo

The lack of major additions, presense of 1 content, and lack of fixes for outstanding issues from Splatoon 1 certainly do though.

>octolings

what is their fucking problem?

It’s definitely a sequel but it was way too much of the same for me to be wildly interested. Played a fuckton of Splatoon 1 after launch, but never got sucked into Splatoon 2 in the same way.

It's rubbing right up against that box though. It uses a lot of the same assets. That said, it's pretty crazy when you go back to the Cali Marie reveal trailer and look at how outdated the visuals were even back then. It looks like a GameCube game. 2 has a better engine with the same assets in it.

It's obviously a damn port because the game was made in less than a year

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is an enhanced port.
Pokken Tournament DX is an enhanced port.
Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze is a port.
Splatoon 2 is a sequel, hence the 2.

Hope this helps!

Hint: It came out 2 years after the original.

The only content it shared with 1 at launch were the weapons, although it had new weapons too and other changes. You know like a sequel tends to have or maybe you don't know.

It also shared the engine and the models and the game

The models are clearly redone and if you think it plays exactly the same you don't know what you're talking about simple as that.

who /bestgirls/ here?

amiibo when

i don't own any other nintendo merch but the callie and marie amiibo, and they need their sequel counterparts

lmao did the furries in-game finally kill this game?

it has an entirely new campaign, a new hub, two new modes, two new weapon classes, entirely new specials, new kits and new outfits

calling it a port is being a baiting mongoloid

I never played one so port or not I am enjoying it all the same.

Does any outfit in splatoon2 show midriff
not including amiibos

I want to be BLACKENED by Marina.

Yes.

Yeah, these people are retards. Look at what Halo 2 added to Halo 1. A new 10-hour campaign, new weapons, new maps, new game modes, better graphics. What does Splatoon 2 add to Splatoon 1? A new 10-hour campaign, new weapons, new maps, new game modes, better graphics. If Splatoon 2 is a port then every FPS sequel is a port.

I agree with the sentiment, but both Splatoon 1/2's campaigns are ~5 hours long.

Singleplayer was much more expansive. SR was a fun mode, but multiplayer is still roughly the same with new maps. We only got two new weapon types and people will stick with the same weapons. . I really wanted a new Inkling mechanic or more singleplayer mechanics in multiplayer maps.
