I own every psp and a vita. PSP go is by far the best way to play jrpgs. Vita is best for arpgs and pc is best for 3D games like shining ark which have decent looking models and textures.

I'm not really whining, I have a huge back log of psp and DS games. It's just weird that the Switch is getting zero support. Even in their first year GBA, PSP, and the DS were 10x better.
There are plenty of good games to spend your time with on the Switch but if you bought it without actually bothering to look at these games to see if you're even interested in them then you're a fucking retard.

Hey its not fair to knock any consoles library by comparing it to the psp. That has to be one of if not the most under rated console of all time for its game selection. Shame about the load times though.

I don't think I have played many PSP games with long load times. I agree it probably has the best library especially for jrpg fans.
I did not say there were no good games. I am just done with all of them and don't really want to replay a bunch of games I already own.

You may have patience but the load times are pretty excessive in a lot of games. Mhfu was for instance really bad since it had fairly noticable load times and you had to change areas and load again constantly while chasing enemies.

I think part of the problem is an ever increasing demand on graphix, cut scenes and play time leading to longer and longer development times. Which leads to higher costs which pushes mid tier devs out of the market. Right now most devs are AAA or Indie and that's really bad.
This probably explains why psp got such a library. I bet it was really inexpensive to make games for even if games hadnt gone full retard on cost to make yet.

I still have fond memories of Summon Night, FFT, Diagaea, and Yggra Union. Wish switch would get a Final Fantasy Tactics Advance game.
I think in genral the kinds of games made during that era were low cost and simple just because of the nature of 2d games. Remember in the psp days sprites were still the go to graphics solution. Most games ran at 60fps. Even the GBA. I wish we had more devs working with sprites. Compare ALttP to BotW, sure BotW is huge but I still love ALttP better and can still get lost in some dungeons.
Psp had a fair number of games in 3d, it was simple almost ps1 level 3d sometimes but it worked when the gameplay was great.

It did, but I mostly play the sprite based games now because in general they have aged more gracefully. I do remeber games like socom and playing them deep into the night but I rather not play them unless it's on PC with higher resolution and 60fps.
Mario kart 8, Splatoon2, MO, BotW(every shrine and dlc), XBC2, Disgaea 5 complete, Ambition of Slimes, Yodanji and Bomber man. Next game will be Rabi Rabi even though I already own it.
