Next Assassin's Creed is codenamed Dynasty

psu.com/news/assassins-creed-dynasty-leak-suggests-china-location/

The article reveals that the next AC is interally called AC Dynasty. They speculate that it could be China, but the Kotaku guys that keep leaking AC every year said it's not gonna be China but somewhere else.

What do you think they mean with Dynasty?

Hmm.
My guess is either India, China, or Japan.

Where's the Ubi employee when you need him. Origins got leaked here 2 years ago too.

I would be okay with any of those. A bearded Sikh assassin with a Kukri would be dope.

pls be japan

JAPAN!

I want Feudal Japan, but I'd settle for ancient China. Fucking hyped

Is Ubi trying to ride the Nioh hype?

perhaps a bloodline of separate assassins we haven't seen before that kept to themselves to achieve their goals by themselves and the game shifts to each new descendant over time

Well Syndicate was called Victory internally so who knows what Dynasty could be

>the end of Origins implies that the modern mc is going to Alexandria
>next game is set in China
yeeah... what?

我们

I thought it was pretty obvious that it was referencing Victorian London.

AC Empire was a little harder to decipher.

Speculation on author's part, it's basically confirmed that it's NOT gonna be China. Kotaku guy said so. Only the codename is right.

Starts in Alexandria and maon game is in China

With Ghost of Tsushima coming, is this a wise choice?

do you people even read the OP, it's not China

>bearded
Is this a new meme?

Ghost is Japan anyways. Either way, its a Southeast Asian open world game that will absolutely have a huge bow and horse aspect to it

What AC really needs is to have a game where you jump between different eras everyone favorite parts of Syndicate and Unity were the WW2 sequences
And I hope that Dynasty implies that

Post stereotypical asian Yoooooooooooooooo music

youtube.com/watch?v=5JmAU31PXH4&t=87s

I want Mongolia, man.

Wasnt that spinoff in china? There was also one in india

>UPDATE] To clarify, our source no longer works at Technicolor, and we were incorrect to state that they are “currently working” on Assassin’s Creed ‘Dynasty’.
I really wish for an AC game (proper AC game) to be set in either Russia, China or Japan, but they just won't do it. Last rumors I heard were that the next game is gonna be set in Greece or Italy again. They've already talked about Japan and said that there are too many games set in Japan so it wouldn't be interesting to see AC in Japan. China and Russia were already done in the comics and 2D, so they'll probably skip those as well. Fuck Ubisoft.
>Hutchinson added that feudal Japan "would work" for Assassin's Creed but would be too familiar. He points out players have already become ninjas or samurai in plenty of other games.
>His statement is in line with an interview he gave back in 2012, when he said Japan would be one of the "worst" settings for an Assassin's Creed game because of how overdone it is.

>Dynasty
Could be literally fucking anywhere, from India to Denver.

i am convinced its india.
Its why origins has war elephant assets.
The elephants are copy paste indian elephants.

Ubisoft is working on a Cyberpunk game

Assassin's Creed 2077?

>this
>greece AND italy

We're getting an Assassins Creed set durring the fall of the Roman Empire. There have been a few hints in Origins and I'm sure the rest will come after the next DLC.

It will prob have Aya as the main Character, as she is a legend in the lore. She is referenced as early as either 2 or BH, can't memba.
Origins is the infancy of the order, but they are THE HIDDEN ONES, not ASSASSINS yet. Aya is the mother of the assassins.

that was proven to be concept art for a personal project, nothing more

>When Ubisoft ruins their own lore involving Caesar and Brutus

2, one of the statues on Monteriggioni was hers.

Source?

that shit was already in AC2/Brotherhood, nigger
AC's lore got ruined in AC3

golden age north western europe when

Do we need another AC so fast? How long ago was Origins released?
Why can't we have another Prince of Persia instead?

What lore?

That's the division 2: the revenge.

First of all, Hutchinson is a faggot that stated his personal opinion. He said that Egypt is boring too and we wouldn't see it, yet here we are. Plus, there are multiple AC teams with different visions. If one team says "x setting sucks", the other team might think the exact opposite. On top of that, Hutchinson left Ubisoft long ago.

Secondly, yeah it sucks that they keep wasting settings for comics and shitty games no one knows about, but they keep sending out surveys to a select few people about where AC should be set next. Japan, China and Russia have always appeared, and in the latest one (last month or so) they were there too.

All we have right now is that the guy who leaked Origins said that a trilogy was being internally discussed (Egypt, then Greece and Rome) and that the next game is codenamed Dynasty.

Origins started out as a PoP game, but they just scrapped it and reused the setting for AC instead.

Because Assassin's Creed exists, there's no need for Prince of Persia to exist alongside it. It's dead.

Origins released 3 months ago after a year long hiatus, but leaked an entire year beforehand. This could be another such case.

>everyone cherry picks their favorite time period/location

It's gotta fit the rise of power in western civilization due to the struggle over and use of the first civ artifacts.

The Templars (The Order) and Assassains are two different "Illuminatis", two groups pulling the strings of history for centuries.
This is why there won't be an Assassin's Creed: South America.

We've got at least 1 game every year, so it's no surprise really.

The first AC also was supposed to be a PoP game.

It's just, I can't bring myself to care about AC plots or cast. I wanted to like Black Flag when I played it but the combat didn't felt good and when Iwas suddenly pushed into the future/present day and there was this numale "haha pirates right?" was just a massive turn off.

>he just ran from mission to mission
>he never found The Truth

Victorian Era AC sounded so fucking good, but then we got a faggy ass game.

>there was this numale "haha pirates right?"
it's just you being a bit of a cunt
leave this place once in a while

that was the tightest shit
then the AC creator left and AC died almost immediatelly after that

>Assassin's Creed: South America
Now I want a tranny main character with an awful tit job and super deep voice

>Brutus finds a piece of Eden
>Shows him a future where Rome is burning
>Brutus takes this as the future if Caesar remains in power
>Kills him
>Finds out that the future he saw was the future if Caesar was killed

The setting was great, and the grappling hook was a welcome gadget but that story was shit. Fucking Evie runs off to India and marries Padjet, and returns in the dlc A NON VIOLENT ASSASSIN. She literally doesn't kill anymore.
Fuck any game set in India if I'm gonna be knocking people out and setting gay traps.

damn...

>Caring about asscreed
The story went to shit after they killed of Desmond. I'd say the last good one was blackflag

Probably India and middle east

How'd they ruin that?

It's gonna be one of these.

better not be coming out this year

>link that accurately predicted everything about Origins said that it was probably going to be the start of a trilogy
>HURR SOMEONE SAID CHINA

See you fuckers in two years when we get a game about the Second Triumvirate.

All of those are pretty solid settings

>Historical King Arthur
>Dark Ages

Probably not, Ubi has 4 big ass games coming out this year.
Far Cry 5, The Crew 2, Skull and Bones, Watch Dogs 3
When it comes to AC content, Origins has 2 DLCs (one of which got released already) and there's the AC Rogue remaster too.

There will absolutely be a ac game this year.

That gap year in 2016 has allowed all teams to work a year extra

whoops, yeah makes sense
it was just the author's personal speculation, apart from the codename nothing actually leaked

They changed it and made Brutus an Assassin from the very beginning

I don't even care anymore.

>caring so little he made a post about it
based as fuck

Fuck off shill

>Because Assassin's Creed exists, there's no need for Prince of Persia to exist alongside it
This makes absolutely no sense. AC is open-world historical-futuristic clusterfuck.
Prince of Persia is linear fantasy parkeour.
How can they not exist at the same time?

I'd love to see the communist revolution setting just so that some overly sensitive people get triggered, the seething of others never ceases to make me laugh

I didn't know there were corpse fuckers on this board.

>accusing someone of shilling for a game that may not even exist and if it does will be released at least two years from now
You’re right, these ad men need to be stopped

according to the wiki it's still there
assassinscreed.wikia.com/wiki/Marcus_Junius_Brutus

>Ubisoft totally wouldn't spread around a rumor to generate hype guys
Yeah just like the last "rumor" about AC that was posted here that ended up being true like, a week later
Every time a new Ubisoft game is coming up they get their shills here to make constant threads that are the same to each other, don't play ignorant

They both use historical settings, don't you think it'd overlap?

OP here, can confirm
I get paid 0.01 $ per post

It's really not the same, Prince of Persia's is largely fantasy themed, with demons, monsters, angry gods, beastmen and the sort.

It's like saying you can't have a WW2 game and an Dark Ages RPG game because both are set in Europe

Same. I was extremely hyped for it, when they leaked the setting. Because literally a few days ago I was thinking about future time periods for ass creed and I really wanted the industrial revolution in england, which was exactly what happened.
The game feels uninspired and boring though.

youtube.com/watch?v=g8_UjFFpD_c

and

youtube.com/watch?v=7Ay50W8LwEw

Not China. Its obvious that the current story isnt finished yet and wont be in the next dlc which is curses and shieet. And also theres the leak about triology which is very likely to be true because Bayek is the only main character since Ezio that people didny hate.

It's going to be some middle eastern place so that they can milk the assets of the previous game for a couple of years

>inb4 its WE WUZ 3 KINGDOMS AND SHIET

I don't want any of that. Give me Greece or Rome instead.

Oddball idea, but the Maya had a dynastic system of rule in their city states and kingdoms. We know the Asscreed devs like the idea of a Maya game, since Asscreed 2 was originally going to be set in that setting, and then they shoved a ton of maya ruins in Asscreed 3 and 4.

That being said, in the last setting survey which shows, they had the "Conquest of the Americas" as a voting opition: The most infamous Maya stuff happened around 1000-400 years before the Spanish arrived, so it's likely they were considering the Aztecs over the Maya then.

They've clearly considered settings in the Americas before, though. There's no reason they couldn't set it in the Americas and involve pieces of eden withoout the main templar-assassin conflict, and obvious having it set during the Spanish conquest would allow it to include it, since Cortes is known to have been a templar in universe

How do I sign up for these surveys?

who cares? Where's that space game they teased in Watch Dogs 2 with the country music?

You don't. Ubi sends these out to a small amount of people every time, and obviously you need to be a customer and have an account for uplay and shit to even stand a chance. Also, living in the land of the free.

Fuck you weeb faggots give me china. Assassins creed embers already made the Chinese assassins look cool as fuck.

What Nioh hype?

>playing origins
>need to assassinate dude in base
>infiltrate base, study targets walk pattern
>ok he always passes by the cart of hay, time for ez kill
>hide myself in hay
>he approaches me but before he gets close enough somehow he fucking detects me
>wtf I havent even moved yet
>now every archer in line of sight is shooting at this hay cart that I still have not moved out of

I just ended up turning the game off and haven't played since. Is it actually supposed to work like that in origins or was that typical ubishit bugs? I havent played an AC since black flag

a dynasty is just a system of government involving a line of hereditary rulers, if you push the semantics hard enough just about any ancient civilization in certain periods would be considered a dynasty so it could be pretty much anywhere

in terms of video games i'd honestly think it'd be cool to see more supernatural elements, if they DID do it in china or india there is plenty of mythology on shapeshifting and magic and while it wouldn't exactly fit into the standard of an AC game, having some sort of animal themed utility/combat forms ala sun wukong or something would be interesting

It's Persia.

>not letting people experience a strange case of deja vu by giving us another game set in rome

>having some sort of animal themed utility/combat forms ala sun wukong or something would be interesting

What exactly does this entail?

>the overthrow of the Tsar empire by the communists
>historical king arthur
Canadian education

just some sort of system where you can equip a totem or some sort of headdress or outfit that grants you advantages and disadvantages of the animal it's themed after, so say if you had some sort of bear artifact you would do more damage in combat, knockback enemies with your strikes, and take more damage, but you'd move slower and it would be harder to sneak - you could have some sort of playtime progression based perk system, so the more you used that specific form the more you would get out of it and it would generate at least some replayability in the different playstyles

God tier:
Russian Revolution
>Feudal Japan

High Tier:
>Medieval China
>Conquests of Alexander
>Peloponnesian War
>Invasion of Rome

Good tier:
>Rise of the Roman Empire

>Hundred Years War

Low Tier:

>Viking Invasions

Prove me wrong

Literally everything that could possibly get the assassins and the templars involved in Greece or Rome happened in Origins, so it won't work

that's way too fantasy-themed, my man
maybe look up Wild

Did Japs even have dynasties of any significance? From what I've heard emperors didn't even play that big of a role there.
