Have you ever been jealous of someone else's gaming ability?

have you ever been jealous of someone else's gaming ability?

No because gaming ability is either
>performing well under pressure
>sinking a million hours into one game
or in rare cases
>slightly lower than average reaction time, which is only useful for CSGO shit and esports faggotry
Natural gaming ability doesn't exist if you have a functioning brain

Jealous? No. Impressed? Yes.

I get a bit jealous of people who can sink a thousand bucks on a 1440p144hz gsync monitor and 2000 more on hardware to match.

Im jealous of guys who can somehow replay something 10000 times and get enjoyment out of still. I replay stuff too, but nothing like say a speedrunner does. I'd save so much money if I could just, say, love 10 games for the rest of my life.

What a bitch source?

>sink a thousand bucks on a 1440p144hz gsync monitor

Those are only 499 now.

why did she do that

Honestly yeah.

I play pubg with someone ridiculously, ridiculously smart (imo gold medallist) and I always have to ask him every 30 seconds where everyone is.

He memorises where everyone is and can take very good guesses at what's happening.

I always feel like an absolute brainlet/awkward and wish I could that. When we used to play league together he did a similar thing.

Tell that to fighting game savants like Tomo Ohira, who kicked the ass of every single person he played across the U.S. with many of them being grown-ass men who played SF2 ceaselessly. He also consistently bodied Jeff Schaeffer, a guy who himself got several perfects on Daigo, the modern champ that everyone dickrides. Things like that are hard to boil down to just practice alone

forgot to mention Tomo was 13 at the time.

I have a friend who will start winning consistently after the third round of a game he has never played before. Any game. Drives me crazy.

This
>Have you ever been jealous of someone else's [guitar] ability
>Have you ever been jealous of someone else's [piano] ability
>Have you ever been jealous of someone else's [Japanese speaking] ability
If the answer is yes, gain some introspection

Idk just enjoy playing with someone who is good.

Sounds high functioning autistic. Don't be jealous since we have our own challenges in life.

A foreigner who beat a bunch of americans really isn't that unique. They have a whole different meta over there.

Get jealous of teens who get to play online multiplayer with a full stack every night.

Miss those days. I can barely get one or two people together for a few hours a month.

He was an American though.

Japanese strong.

We really enjoy playing together, just occasionally I get little tings of jealousy.

I know he doesn't give a shit about having to say where everyone is but I expect it's like playing with a literal retard to him.

He appears completely normal in everyday conversation. Outside of academic stuff you can only tell he's smart in certain games like pubg or when we went round the shops knew what everything was priced at/could work out the price before we got to the checkout.

Luck
I thought luck was a fictional concept until i started playing games with a friend
He constantly gets lucky on games that have some kind of rng that its not even funny, he always gets low drop items in very few tries, when we play carcassone he always gets the piece he needs when he needs it. Hell once we were playing mastermind and he got the correct combination in his first try

That's me. I almost hate it, because nobody wants to play games with me.

The same is true for me. We're called high functioning for a reason.

>Megu-chan

Not really. I do have one friend who seems to be above average or high tier by default at literally any game he just decides to pick up and play. He seems to git gud at every competitive online game after a few evenings of playing it.

I can't say I'm too jealous, especially when he doesn't look down on me for it. If anything, he goes out of his way to keep dragging my ass to play shit I suck at like FPS games.
