My favorite psp game is Holy Invasion Of Privacy Badman even though I've never beaten it.

EVer since the rise of the internet there are no such thing as a hidden gem anymore. Just you being bored waiting for someone else to tell you what to play.

PSP has an awful library to be honest, its only redeeming quality is a mobile emulator

Here is some of the shit I play and mostly love, gonna describe them for some more convenience:
>Action/RPG

>Phantasy Star Portable series:
If you are a fan of the earlier titles, or, better yet, a fan of PSU, these games will get you quite hooked. PSP1 is a little clunky, dont bother playing as Force because Forces suck balls throughout the PSP titles, save for Portable 2 Infinity. You basically play a Guardian's grunt in the first title, get allied with a qt3.14 Cast and pretty much do small missions. Portable 2 is pretty much Portable 1, which slightly improves ranged players and gives you a shitload of content. Portable 2 Infinity is not translated yet, but it's pretty much like MHF Unite. More and more content.
>Crisis Core: Final Fantasy
Play as Zack and explore some of the lore behind FF7. Just prepare to swallow a lot of weeb bs and >angeal
and you will be rewarded with pretty nice gameplay and a decent story arc for Zack.
>Last Ranker
One of the slightly rarer gems, this Capcom game pretty much plays like Valkyrie Profile, only you control one character and have to duel your way to the top. The gameplay and story are quite good and it has some nice fapbait.

>NFS: Carbon
Still surprised I rarely see people talk about these, but this game is basically a combination of Underground 2 and some mixtures from turf wars from Carbon. Lots of customizable cars, ricers and quite a lot of content.
>Riiiiidge Racer Portable
Kaz memes aside, it's a fun arcade racer if you like the previous entries. Besides, with a cracked PSP you can also play R4, so you should be set.

Not for a reason also called one of the hidden SRPG gems of the PSP. Amazing visuals, FFT-lite combat gameplay and a pretty great story with lots of content. The less you know about it, the greater your experience will be.

Doesn't mean it's a masterpiece by any means but it's a Niinou game and it's unironically the best thing that ever came out of this whole BRS thing.

I would say that 2 absolutely is. It gives you more leeway as to picking any character class that you want. If you play 1 on SP, you will have to prepare for some horrid A.I. which will not only not attack any enemies that spawn, but rarlely decide to go on defense, let alone heal your party. You can breeze through PSP by just playing as a Hunter or Ranger though.
