Loghain did nothing wrong

loghain did nothing wrong

>let the only people who can kill archdemon die
Loghain was an idiot.

Except killing the king, a couple of high ranking grey wardens who were scouting recruits, bringing the country to the brink of civil war, getting involved in slave trade with tevinter mages, letting a criminal who lilled the Couslands become arl of Denerim all during a blight while blaming it on grey wardens who actually did nothing wrong.

He didn't knew about this. Also thanks to it he preserved an army. King was retarted

All of this was necessary in defense of his homeland. he was a true patriot

>it's not wrong if you don't know it's wrong

>KIlls the only faction that had experience dealing with Darkspawn
>Throw the entire kingdown into a civil war while in the middle of a Blight
>Nothing wrong

His homeland would have been wiped from the map with his master mind plan.

Not true.
He didn't make sure to finish the job he started.

if grey wardens outright told that only they can kill archdeamon rather than autistically not telling it he would take different course of action

>muh gey wardens
because it's better to sacrifice your entire army and lose day 1?
>civil war
king was stupid and naive. fuck him

I wish they scattered more evidence of him being more of a "the end justifies the means" type of character that was cruel, but logical, making the betrayal of the king his only fault where personal feelings got in the way(Bioware even had a subplot in mind where Cailan was cheating on his wife with the Orlesian empress, would had way more sense if they ended up implementing that besides just a note you can read in the Return to Ostagar dlc).

>tfw we'll never get a good Dragon Age game again

>Cailan was cheating on his wife

He did nothing wrong, he was trying to preserve his legacy since his wife was barren.

Didn't the orlesian empress end up being a dyke?

Yeah, in Dragon Age Inquisition where everyone is a bulldyke gender queer snowflake.

Who cares what happens after the first game.

It wasn't really implied that they would have lost even with the reinforcements.

Even if he didn't believe that the grey wardens were the only ones capable of killing the archdemon, why not co-operate with a faction that dedicated their existence for this one threat you're fighting.

Loghain ended up being portrayed as a fucking idiot for no reason. Meredith from da2 made more sense than him, and she was under the influence of that red lyrium shit.

>we will never get closure on what happens with Morrigan's child

>under the influence of that red lyrium shit
Sunk the entire premise in 30 seconds.

How's 2013?

I don't treat anything post Awakening a canon, and neither should you.

it was beautiful sticking it to alistair at the end.
just to see the look on that faggots face.

not to mention, my man simon templeman voiced loghain, cant just cast him in.

And just like in real life, patriotism is a disease.

And why not? The way Morrigan developed as a mom is really good, for me one of the few good parts about DA:I. And the soul of her kid not being a important plot point was obvious from the very start, since it was optional.
I don't remember much about half the cast of DA:I because they sucked indeed but the story itself? I hated the part about Wardens but overall it's not really much worse than DA:O's. The main story of the games was never the strong point.

>And why not?

Because most of the original team was not involved.
I don't even need more reasons like incompetent divesity hires or women quotas or something like that, the first reason is enough to utterly dismiss it.

Actual autism. The head writer from the first game worked on it the same way he worked on DA:O.

What kind of reasoning is that? Seems like you are trying to force a headcanon by your own rules that I don't really give a flying fuck about Tbh

>original team has a vision and future plans for something
>team gets scrapped and replaced by collage kids (can work them into dust with little resistence and low pay), dykes, hindus and all that shit
>lore gets changed to fit new direction
>characters get rewritten to fit new lore

Happened with ME2 aswell, I have no interest in publisher backed fan-fiction.

>why not co-operate with a faction that dedicated their existence for this one threat you're fighting.
By the time of game grey wardens are scum above the law, who are saving criminals, doing nothing, having tons of privileges and are just useless organization that have to be sustained by society. And they never said why they are required and how to kill that daemon. From perspective of Loghain and other people they are human trash of society just like fat nobles

It's still an official part of the series. You don't know how much I want to meme The Last Jedi out of SW canon but it's simply part of it.
Unfair example though because not even DA:I deserves to be compared to TLJ

>It's still an official part of the series
Not for me it isn't.
And and don't care for the nu-SW movies either.
Won't watch them ever.
Audience approval is what makes it canon.

he was right that orlais was absolutely going to use the blight as an excuse to reconquer ferelden, and that cailan was a stooge who went along with it. Still he was pretty terrible at politics, failing to unite Ferelden the same way the warden did.
