i never owned one. my friend had a purple one. he might've had a green one too, can't remember. after the game boy, i didn't get back into handheld gaming until the 3ds. was gifted an advance sp, but i never played it.

I still consider these PEAK AESTHETIC when it comes to portables
Nothing really ever came close. The PSP Go had kind of a nice look especially with the sliding screen, but still nothing as good looking as the GBP. I dunno, the little curve on the right corner is so simple yet so sexy.

Weirdest thing is I never really wanted one back then. We always wanted more games, but it wasn't until the Christmas we got Pokemon Gold and Silver that this grew a special place inside of me. I also got three free months of Nintendo Power and I still have a weird fondness for those memories, too.

I missed out on the original DS, but I got a DS lite in polar white. A beautiful color on that device. I still hate myself for rage punching the touch screen and cracking it. It I could go back I'd punch myself in the head instead. When I finally bought another one, I discovered they didn't make the polar white one anymore. I was very disappointed. I still haven't gotten a 3DS and don't know if I ever will.

I've only played four games for Game Boy (and two of them were Pokemon) and I liked them all. Tecmo Bowl is actually good once you learn how to not get tacked instantly.

the game boy's big hook was that it was a way to play vidya on the go, while mom is watching oprah or some shit
so the games for it were scaled down versions of regular nintendo and super nintendo games
they were fine but they were just a stand in until you could play on the TV
there really arent a whole heck of a lot of game boy titles worth tracking down and playing now
