Go play Xenosaga.
Even after all the Xenoblades, it seems to be a forgotten series.
>good JRPG
Hahahhaahhahha
What have you played and what Consoles do you haveanon?
I never played any JRPG besides Final Fantasy VII and XIII. PC preferred.
Chrono Trigger for SNES its easy enough to emulate via ZSNES
>ZSNES
There
All emulatable eveb ich ps3 one
Zelda BotW, best RPG in years.
>P5
>Paper Mario 64
>SMRPG
SaGa.
dark souls
Recommend a better emulator instead of posting anime autist
>PC preferred
Play The Last Remnant, Romancing SaGa 2 and emulate the rest of the SaGa games.
>reccing SaGa games to someone who's only played FF VII and XIII
what the fuck is wrong with you
Tales of Symphonia
Grandia 2 (though probably better to emulate it as the PC version seems to crash randomly and it is very annoying
Sink or swim bruh
Its super mario rpg that good or its just a heavy nostalgia thing?
I only played two N64 games: Star Wars racing and Conker's Bad Fur Day
What an absolute crock of shit
I recently played Valkyrie Profile and I loved it. It's turn based, but your turn is about building a combo and timing your attacks properly so it has a satisfying action element to it as well. The story isn't a huge focus and there's a lack of interesting boss fights imo, but the gameplay stayed interesting for me all the way through. I can't wait to play the sequel (I hear that has more focus on story if that's what you're interested in) and its got me excited for Indivisible as well. It's a great game and you should play it, basically.
>P5 over P3
If you really liked VP's gameplay, check out the Golden Sun series bro.
Pinnacle of its generation.
The best recent one I've played is Persona 5.
Heard good things about the new Digimon.
Final Fantasy XII Zodiac Age is coming to PC today and is pretty great, but a bit expensive for a port. I'd wait on that one.
If you wanna do emulators and have never played a JRPG, I HIGHLY recommend either Terranigma or Chrono Trigger.
Vagrant Story is my favorite JRPG of all time, but a very acquired taste. I wouldn't recommend it to a novice level player.
Its genuinely good, but ultimately entry tier as fuck. The rpg mechanics serve their function, but the setting and characters are the real selling point.
higan, snex9x
Will do, thanks man.
It's heavy nostolgia. As someone who came late to the party and didn't play SNES games until much, much later SMRPG sucks fucking ass. Chrono Trigger holds the fuck up, though. Still one of the best JRPGs of all time.
>Accusing somebody else of nostalgia
>While defending Chrono Trigger
For which I don't have any nostalgia because I didn't play it as a kid? You suffering from some brain damage over there, friend? I'm worried. You should call a doctor.
>Nostalgia only applies if you played a game as a kid
Before getting worried about another person's brain health I suggest you to worry about yourself, son.
Especially given your terminal shit taste.
It's not a nostalgia thing per say, but it's not something you should play. SMRPG is a great game for people ~6 years old.
