DS4 controller: EU vs US
There is a huge difference in quality
I bought my PS4Pro while travelling to Dubai and it's an european one. It came with a controller with the EU code: CUH-ZCT2E. The american one CUH-ZCT2U has way better rubber on the analogs while on the european DS4 it's flat and has no grip
anyone here with a DS4 european model to confirm?

Are you sure it's EU vs US? The DS4 has at least 3 different versions: the original release one, one that gave the sticks a better material, and the one with the light bar on the touchpad.
The newest version has the improved analogs in all regions
Why didn't you take a picture and posted that instead.
It's the latest model 2 with led on the touch bar
The European that comes with the PS4Pro is brand new I used for 3 days only
I bought an american controller for back up but I noticed the difference
Both are the CUH-ZCT2 revised model
my camera can't pick up the rubber but I'll try
The only people who buy consoles in Europe buy them to play sports games, so why bother with quality when they don't even notice?
This is the american controller
this is the european
my camera isn't that great
I'll try to take another set of pictures with my friends camera in a few minutes
Another difference you can find is the american version has darker directional pad symbol → ↑ ↓
the quality is decent now
here it is the european version
btw I opened both controllers to check the main board and they are original. You can see a PS logo printed on the board and it has good soldering
Different working conditions.
European version doesn't need to have so aggressive gripping since it's not exposed to "pass the controller bro" grease.
I heard the opposite actually. The American ones tend to be the cheap ones. I bought mine almost exactly a year ago and the sticks are still like on the first day even though I play a shitload of fighting games. Yes, I use the analog stick for them
I have a us and a eu controller and its the same as yours, the eu one got worse grip
is it the european version? how is the rubber on the analogs?
op here
and another interesting difference is the lightbar
The hue is different. The european has darker blue while the american red lightbar (if you connect as a 2nd controller) tends to be more yellowish
The only thing that matters is the quality of the rubber (grip) though. I'm not sure why they are using a flat rub on the european version but it's not good to play since you have no grip to the analogs
Oh you stupid fuck.
It's not a matter of US/EU/wherever, it's a matter of fabrication date and serial number.

Clean your greasy hands.
so I was hoping some european who purchased a DS4 recently could confirm the analog grip
Before the newer model with the leds in the touchpad and usb connection for gaming they all had flat rubber with virtually no grip.
Today we have the asian (G), japanese (J), european (E) and american(A). The only controllers with good grip are american and japanese. I don't have a japanese DS4 yet but the pics I've seen seem to confirm the better grip
I'll buy one from play-asia to see for myself
European model video some zoom-in on the analogs showing little grip youtube.com
What are you going to do about it nerd? Now buy another one so you can keep playing FIFA
No one here with a DS4 made in europe? post pics or opinion please
anybody bought one in US/japan with bad rubber?
