He thinks publishers are entitled to charge more than 60$ per copy of a game because of inflation

>he thinks publishers are entitled to charge more than 60$ per copy of a game because of inflation

Tell me this isn't you, Sup Forums.

$60 is too expensive for games

$20 in your local currency are what games should cost

$20 Canadian
$20 American
$20 Australian
$20 NZ

That's it.

I bet you're poor.

>I'm rich that's why I like to waste my money on things I can get for free, that's how you know I'm rich

then complain on why games aren't trying to be innovative anymore

Not but this is literally how the world works when it comes to displaying wealth.

Warren Buffet lives in a small ranch house. Displaying wealth is not needed.

They can charge what they want.

The past year I bought Prey full price on release, NBA2K18 Shaq edition for $120, Nier full price on release and countless other games and I enjoyed all of them.

but not all of those currencies are valued the same

>NBA2K18 Shaq edition for $120
I always wonder how people can be this stupid. Care to clarify?

>The Legend Edition includes:
>Physical Items:
>Limited-edition Shaq poster;
>5 Panini trading cards;
>Exclusive stickers.

kek gamers are pathetic

>don't spend a dime on anything but food in bulk, utilities, and taxes
>portfolio just keeps getting bigger and bigger
>don't want to spend any of it because I just like seeing the numbers get bigger
>feel pain when I spend any money at all
Why would you pay money for vidya when you can get it for free?

t. Millionaire

20 Bucks is to much.

Got some investment tips for a NEET who wants to plan for his future?

They are entitled to charge whatever they want. If you want to spend 60$ to support that you can, or you can pirate their shit, play it for 20 minutes then realize it is a shit game.

>spend money on something you like
not him, but I don't see what the problem is

Inherit a lot of money, it's really hard to start from nothing. I'm sorry I can't give you more advice than that, I just have most in index funds and local real estate for rentals (not the best idea but I like that I'll always have a place to live).

they don't charge $60 a game, though; they charge $60 + $120 in DLC

NBA2K games let you pay for VC which is a virtual currency used in the game to upgrade your stats in the mycareer version of the game. If you don’t buy VC it literally takes you 20+ hours to grind up the VC to upgrade your character to full potential and buying the legend edition of the games gives you enough VC at a discount to fully upgrade your character.

If you pay for the VC to upgrade your character it ends up costing more than it would than if you bought the legend edition of the game.

How much is "a lot" by your metric for starting out? Most I think I might inherit is roughly $40k, if I'm lucky. And a house that's worth roughly $160k that I'd rather keep living in.

To me it doesnt matter if publishers raise the price from 60 to 80 dollars because even if base price rises we'll still see lootboxes, we'll still see dlc containing content cut from the original game, we'll still see unethical business practices and we'll also see people arguing how 80 dollars a game also isnt enough.

I got 150k in stock and a 2.5 million dollar property, and a second rental property. It's honestly enough as long as you OWN a home, I would be happy to sell this one and move, but I like this place too much to sell. I'll probably rent out half the property though. One day I'll probably run out of money though, I need to figure out a way to get another few million without selling.

Why the fuck do you want money if not to spend it? Go live in the middle of the woods if you don't care.

Collecting money is fun. It's just like a score in a video game.

Shit man, 2.5 million? No way my inheritance would even approach that. Oh well, at least I'll have a house to own. Hasn't been fucked by reverse mortgages or anything, either. I should probably be grateful for what I have, but... Bleh, I need to figure something out. I'm just not cut out for real work. Well,
thanks anyways, user.

You could collect the goods and services instead, you know, the thing money is for.

They are entitled to charge more than $60, it's entirely their choice, it's a free market. Will the market bear such a price? That's the real question. Ultimately they will charge what they can sell it for.

Then you'd lose money, duh.

I'd be fine with higher price tags if they didn't try to nickel-and-dime me with DLC, lootboxes, etc.
