Tfw thinking about making that video game again
In ancient Greece there was this master of pottery.
And he had many people lined up and begging to be his pupils.
He split them in two groups. One was named quality and the other quantity.
The pupils from the quality group were tasked to make one and only one pot, and had 30 days to do it. But it had to be perfect and of highest quality.
The pupils in the quantity group where tasked to make as many pots as possible during 30 days.
The results were not surprising to the old master potter.
The quantity group made more and higher quality pots. As they practiced and made mistakes, and learned how to not make those mistakes. The quality group had almost no success in even making a pot that holds water...
just stop being a faggot and do it
It's too much work. I don't even know where to start, and even if I did, I can't draw or compose music and I don't have the money to hire someone.
>I don't even know where to start
There's your problem
You don't need to know how do draw/model/compose, just grab some placeholder models and change them around when you're done
even use some basic shapes with some random ass textures on them
hey fuckboy, yeah you
FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS
also don't forget to make regular backups.
just take the easy route, make a shitty lewd rpg maker game, comission some art and plop it onto patreon for easy $$$
I remember a time when you could give people shit for being the typical 'idea guy'. These days, if your idea has any merit at all, people will throw money at you via kickstarter/patreon. Literally no reason you can't make a video game unless it was a terrible idea to begin with.
Honestly if you have nothing to lose then why not just try it? Maybe you're game is bad but you learn something. With that experience you'll be able to do a lot more next game.
>fantasize about your dream game at work
>think of the combat system, the guns, the magic, all the secrets and cheat codes
>convince yourself that as soon as you get home, you'll download game maker or any sort of easy game program and work on it
>get home
>Sup Forums for 12 hours
man you're misguided about it to whine then. If it's too hard that you give up at the start it can't have meant much to you, at least when compared with other things in your life. It sounds like you're attracted to the fantasy of making a game more than wanting to actually make it.
iktf, the game I wanna make is a multiplayer game which I know is gonna be fucking impossible
I'm making a game and I've made some significant process but Sup Forums somehow finds a way to stifle it
I wish someone would set all of us free from this hellhole
There's no way out. Even if you use software to block it at certain times of day, or block it with your router and enter a random password, you'll find a way around it. If you try to leave through sheer willpower, there will always be this nagging feeling, "I should be using Sup Forums, I'm neglecting my Sup Forums time". You'll feel fucking GUILTY for not coming to this hellhole.
Otoka nara dareka no tameni tsuyoku nare~
My problem is that I come here out of sheer loneliness when there's nobody around to talk to
It's a surrogate social life. It sucks you in. Makes you just comfortable enough to not want to move on, but not satisfying enough to make you enjoy it.
You either do it or don't. There's no in between. SO JUST FUCKING DO IT. FIND PEOPLE IN YOUR AREA OR ONLINE WHO WANT TO HELP. JUST DO IT
GOD DAMN I'M SO TIRED OF THIS DON'T LET YOUR DREAMS BE DREAMS FUCKING GRAB LIFE BY THE PUSSY AND JUST DO IT GOD DAMN
...
