Fifth generation of vidya

>fifth generation of vidya
>games came with neat manuals that provide tips/hints/info/artworks like pic related
>generations later
>only thin piece of paper with shit no one reads
>current gen
>some games come with absolutely no manual whatsoever

why is this happening

because the internet exists grandpa. do you want to kill a bunch of trees bc you're too dumb to look up the PDF?

Cheaper to mass-produce a game with an incredibly short manual than it is to mass-produce a game with a big manual.
Not only that, corporate suits don't have enough faith in the sheep to actually sit down and read a manual so they cram all the common information into the game itself as mandatory tutorials.

they don't care about (you) anymore. They just want your money

but PDF manuals aren't as detailed as old manuals either

>bomb bag and silver scale colored red
>quiver is blue

>tfw used to collect these
>tfw mom threw all of them out years ago

Sm4sh comes with a manual. It has all the character special moves. Always saves me when i have to try to explain something to my friends

Because all that information is just in the game now.

>silver scale
>bomb bag
>adult only

What the fuck is this horseshit?

I brought my OoT manual to school and the teacher took it and said I’d get it back at the end of the year. When the time came, he didn’t have it any more. I’m still angry.

Trees never did nothing for nobody, I want cool collector's pieces.
>but muh oxygen
Grass and algae give you oxygen, trees are just homes for literal monkeys

>Believing any teacher that says "you'll get it back at the end of the year"

At that point you're supposed to break into their desk and take the thing back.

It's worded really shitty, but it's obvious that green is Child exclusive, blue is Adult exclusive, and red is for both

it's ww3 you dolt; paper and staple shortage

but child link can't use any of the red shit on the right

Red and blue are swapped on the right page. In the blue box on the left page, it's blue for adult-only and red for child and adult, on the right page it's the opposite. Green items are child exclusive on both pages.

>why is this happening
The same as why game cases are near paper thin as well. Publishers wanted to appear as if they give a shit about the environment when in reality they just wanted to save a few cents.

I never read manuals because they spoil what items you're going to get later in the game. Manuals should never refer to anything you wouldn't see in the tutorial area.

>Red is items that can be used as both adult and child Link
>blue is adult only

It's admittedly written very unclearly, but not hard to figure out.

Oh wait, I just noticed how the right page is formatted. You're right, it's fucked. My bad.
