FFXIV is a pretty decent mmo if you just want to idle and roleplay as a catgirl with a bunch of other autists. Unfortunately the actual game is really slow and boring.

well op is asking about social elements and it's way easier to make friends on clasic than current wow because you need to group and communicate for a lot of things and hardship creates friendship.
I made more friends that last 3 months playing light's hope than during the last 2 wow expansions.
and vanilla gameplay is nothing like retail.
