why is this shit so overhyped? sure, shadowplay is a cool feature but everything about this program is snail on a glacial slow and unreliable, it can't even take screenshots properly for fuck sake
Why is this shit so overhyped? sure...
name 1 person
no one fucking likes it
werks fine on my machine :^)
I like it. Automated updates are great and so is shadowplay.
I got one of those Lord of the rings games free because of it
I will never install this garbage.
It prevents nvidiainspector frrom working and fucks everything up without even asking.
Not even worth using for shadowplay, just use OBS.
does OBS now have the same functionality? shadowplay is the only reason I even have it
>enable fps overlay to test the impact of changing some settings
>internet goes out so decide to watch some anime I had downloaded previously
>fps overlay on my anime
>can't disable the overlay because you can't do anything in the new experience without logging in online
it used to just be kinda mediocre but it's just gotten incredibly awful since 3.0
it requires a profile now?
obs can use the shadowplay driver for that no-impact recording, but I don't know if it has the other things like the "save the last 30 seconds" and stuff
Yes
You can set it to use your GPU's hardware encoding and can set a replay buffer to record everything and save the last X minutes
yeah ever since the fancy new version. and as far as I can tell, you can't do anything if you're not logged in
fuck this shit then lmao
I like it
What's the point? Is just stuff that one does for one's PC.
analytics is a very lucrative market
Try to disable your network adapter or pull the cable and then try to launch shadowplay.
It won't work.
Why is that I wonder?
Just tried it and it still obviously works, I am a bit disappointed
PC aside I dont even feel the impact or features of the shield tv experience updates.
Du you still have to register and sign up to use this shit?
Then they fixed that.
Didn't work a few months ago, requried a constant connection.
But this isn't some third party software, they make GPUs and sell GPUs which has been clearly lucrative especially last year.
Ah whatever the standard panel or Nvidia inspector works fine enough if they work, which does not always seem to be the case, is funny that I can't add any AA beside FXAA on SWAT 4 while my friend with the same GPU can.
are you telling me you expect a company to go "yeah we already make a lot of money, I don't think we need any more"? they're just as greedy as anyone else, and analytics make a lot of money for little effort
Also, it gets buggier and buggier with every update.
I can't, For some reason, it doesn't recognize some of my games
That's what I was thinking when I saw this post. I haven't heard anybody even talk about this and I have it on one of my desktops. Hardly "overhyped".
>Shadowplay
OBS has the exact same feature and does it much better. Uses your RAM for a buffer rather than your HDD/SSD and of course you have much more control over the settings.
Always worked for me. The new freestyle is neat too, not very useful but good for some tweaks without needing SweetFX on top.
