What went wrong? Why did they all die?

What went wrong? Why did they all die?

You didnt bought them.

How the fuck 3ds library is shitter than DS?

They either sold like shit or they were actually shit games.

Because every single one of them was worse than their ds/gba counterpart, maybe devil survivor 2 was ok.

Because while PSP was a meme competition, smartphones and tablets are actually making 3DS struggle.

Similar to the PS2/GC/XBOX gen with consoles, DS/PSP were the last systems were smaller, AA dev's could realistically make products and (attempt to) turn a profit.
Now everything is hyper polarized, either multi-million AAA works or indie games made in mom's basement.

Pic related is a great example of a midbudget game that the devs clearly cared about that just wouldn't succeed on modern hardware.

They still make Yu-Gi-Oh games, don't they?
Also
>tfw no Trauma Team 2

>that super serious advance was cover

lmao

I wish we got more stuff on the 3DS that uses DS pixel art styles instead of shoving 3D models down our throats all the time

God, this. Sprites could look good in 3D. Really good.

>make an Advance Wars game for DS
>don't release it in Japan at all until years later
Way to shoot themselves in the foot.

That dev team went under before the 3DS came out you idiot.

Are you implying the DS's library wasn't God Tier, you dumb faggot?

This is not a meme. 9 out of 10 japanese games are now released on mobile instead of on consoles/PC/handhelds.

Visual novels, doujin games, commercial games. They are all on mobile nowadays.

Same.
The 3D on handhelds not only doesn't look that good, but the games run like shit too.

Truly the worst timeline. Wouldn't be so bad if it all wasn't touchscreen only gachashit.

I know user

>3ds gets new jrpg
>it uses 3d chibi models
Every fucking time.

LA3:eyes never got a localisation
Rising star games was just about finished
Stella glow was their last game on 3ds

Unironically because of piracy. It's the niche titles that suffer the most, because the people who would be most aware of those titles are also savvy enough to know how to use homebrew or emulation.

Pirates and coming late to the DS life cycle granted the 3DS still carries the torch being backward compatible but sales wise pirates kill great games by not funding them.
This shit costs money.
Meanwhile Trash of duty sells like crazy being paying normies actually buy the game.

Yeah, but the Championship (and Tag Force?) series is dead.

It didn't matter, really. Japs never liked Advance Wars and sales were abysmal for the gba. Days of Ruin's gritty style was made in attempt to pander to the western audience.

Fucking this.
The GBA and DS had some really great looking games but it all changed with the 3DS.
