>physical element magic
>multistrike magic
>spell that is every element at once

There's actually a few dicks in that gif, what have you to say for yourself OP?

>No collectibles.
>No audio bullshit.
>No text bullshit.
>No puzzles.
>Weapons don't clip.
>Clothes don't clip.
>Extreme violence.
>Anything edgy and at least somewhat serious.
>Attacking with the right analog stick.
>Extremely difficult shit.
>When you die, the enemy brutalizes your corpse.

you sure spot them fast, experienced?

CONTINUED:

>Sixth generation ragdoll physics.
>Tank controls.
>Fixed camera angle outta nowhere.

>No audio bullshit.
>No text bullshit.

>capturable unique units that you wouldn't be able to get otherwise (Homeworld)
>boarding in space or age of sail games
>character progression with clear indication such as animation changes

>fast methods of leveling up in an rpg
That´s why i like KH2 a lot

mythology.

are there any good, mostly brainless (like diablo brainless - either as a hack n slash or RPG) games involving mythology, especially norse mythology? i'm not well informed in terms of the game titles out there and wasn't won over by most of the Wikipedia page for
Category:Video games based on Norse mythology

>Your codex has been updated.

does fantasy-mythology count?

>perks actually change the weapon/character
God i love KF2 for that

God of War 2018.

>able to grapple/carry whatever and whoever the fuck you want
>absorbing the enemies entirely for new moves or just regeneration
>capturing whatever you want and sending it out to fight for you later

>no puzzles

>JRPGs where the character(s) get older and/or change appearances throughout the game

So what are the best games that encapsulate these OP? I want to play some games with these features for sure.

looks like yet another skyrim clone, which means """realistic""" gameplay and a ton of obnoxious quests
it's also not released yet
it's also not for PC
i want something more game-y feeling and brainless

sure i guess but prefer real world mythology

Titan Quest is a Diablo style ARPG based on Greek mythology and is pretty good.
Not sure about good Norse mythology games though.
I used to play Rune as a kid but it doesn't look like it's aged well.

>NPCs have lives of their own that progresses as you advance through the story

Ninety percent of all games have puzzles you don't need to think about. The other ten percent are inherently trash puzzle games.

last game I played that had an amazingly well-made mythology was Pyre, but that game was fucking great even apart from that

Not OP but

>X-COM
>Metal Gear Rising
>Dragon's Dogma

So basically you have a hard on for xcom 2 wotc

Yeah. Totally a Skyrim clone.

Can't believe nobody mentions that. They're basically the same fucking game.

oh you have no fucking idea how many hours I have in Xcom games

Is it open world? I haven't really paid attention to it. I'd be more inclined to call it a Last of Us clone

>Charged attacks
>swords that fire shockwaves
>railguns
>energy beams
>characters covered in enemies blood
>AoEs around character

MGSV has the Mother Base

with regards to music
DivOS2 has the main battle theme change whenever a player gets either a critical hit or scores a kill based on an instrument you choose in char creation (can change it later) and you get a very interesting mixture of instruments that makes for a compelling battle theme.

>ability to manipulate enemies to fight each other

I was being sarcastic. That dude's a fucking moron.

fight me fag

Breath of Fire III

I recently picked it up for the Vita since it was on sale. Not looking forward to doing that stupid training segment again

god i love this so much. nothing like punching a dozen taxi's in GTA4, making them swing at each other, then watching the cabbie riot from on top of one of their cars

close but no cigar

it has music that syncs up in the boss fights?

enemy bios

>ability to move fast using game mechanics that weren't designed for fast
>double jump
>air dashes
being mobile as fuck is a great feeling when you slip and slide past danger

There's Age of Mythology. It's an RTS, but I think it's kinda brainlet I used to play it, and I suck at strategy games

On topic: when the music slowly develops as you progress the level youtube.com/watch?v=2Jk6bzXPVhQ

Slightly off topic, but since I just bought it on Steam what are some dumb things I should avoid doing in the beginning?

kid icarus uprising is good but it's only loosely greek mythology "themed" and doesn't take it seriously at all

my nigga, that shit right there never failed to crack me up. Sometimes I also like to involve the hobos.

Ever tried SMT?

>white hair girl
Every time.

You guys would like Watch Dogs 2. You get the ability to call in rival gangs AND police to attack people and that shit can easily escalate.

>skill trees
>up-gradable bases/vehicles
>slow mo mode
>executions
>up gradable combo chains
>up-gradable guns

don't save explosives in fear of losing loot, just blast everything

>getting mocked if I lose to a woman

>game has comfy safe area with mini games or other distractions while danger is raging outside and has other services
EGadds lab was really comfy for me, so was the safe room in Evil Within

A nice varied wardrobe always gets me. BotW and Odyssey are great for this of course, but I liked FFX-2 as well despite all its other flaws because you were able to dress up your girls. I assume the reason I like this is because I'm a FAGGOT.

>no hand holding
>party based rpg
>hybrid classes
>no clipping
>weapons that dont float on your back
>monsters that fight alongside the protagonist rather than some persona or pokemon bullshit where its just a human and he gets to use these all powerful beings just befuckingcause

level/energy drain
weaking/debuffing
and cursed items
bonus points if any of its permanent

>Hyperactive arcade likes with neon graphics and intense music
Always gets my adrenaline pumping, so damn good
youtu.be/gLiQOdtBPs4

>Combining two classes into one dual class
>Main theme suddenly remixed into the final boss fight
>Extremely long draw distances
>"and you" in the credits

ng+ with more than just "oh well its easier now!" or "you now get access to ONE new thing!"
why literally every game doesnt come with a new game plus is beyond me

>you can visit locations from the previous game in the sequel (bonus point if there is a remix of an old song from the previous game)
>game has a fake ending
>game has many mini games
>Antagonist of the game fights alongside you in a part of the game to fight a common enemy
>

>vidya fetish
Ragdolls you can pose.

>real fetish
Ragdolls you can pose.

Never have the last soldier you move reveal fog of war your first or 2nd didn't reveal already, unless you're still in stealth.
Don't quit a campaign just because you lost your donut steel soldier you invested a ton of time and resources in or you've fucked up the strategic layer, this is where the game gets fun.
Try not to savescum, the game is balanced around you taking losses.

Can't help you a lot on the strategic layer since everyone has to find his own style, just be aggressive i guess, there's a lot of ways to complete the objective but in xcom 2 with the timers you need to get shit done instead of playing it safe or you lose the missions.

because most people don't even finish games, just wasted effort and money to make a decent ng+

>"and you" in the credits

>Attacking with the right analog stick.
FUCK YOU SO MUCH I HATE THIS SHIT.

I do like blowing shit up

Darkest Dungeon has taught me how to cope with losing high investments.

Thanks Anons

>literally every ratchet and clank game since going commando has had a somewhat decent ng+ system
>borderlands does this as well but you still have a shit load of levels to do anyways
>persona gives you access to one boss one item and one persona, doesnt scale levels and thats it
its not even hard just scale the enemy's levels and add a few new weapon types or skills and maybe a superboss

>Rival type character that has all the same abilities you do but improved
>Battle arenas that are just an endless plane of ankle deep water with a cloudy sky
Gets me hype every time.

Yeah there's these mini bosses where the music changes depending on whether they enter the map, they get revealed or engage it's good stuff.
youtube.com/watch?v=4V7gDa80CpU&t=151s

like i said its just wasted dev time
go check the stats on steam for literally any singleplayer game that takes like 8ish hours
i doubt you will find one with more than 40% completion

pic related
32% that bought this game actually completed it

...

>game has a drawing mechanic
>halfway through the game a character asks you to draw a personalized seal for some reason
>doesn't do anything with it for the whole game
>eventually beat the game, credits roll
>at the very end your seal gets stamped onto the credits

I've always wondered if those count people who haven't even touched the game, if so that's kind of misleading

this is the reason no game will ever have a decent ng+

>briefly play as someone other than the main character
>this provides a different perspective of the plot and setting than through the eyes of the protag

you have to at least start the game
and the numbers are very similar to the ps4/xbox numbers

>only 28% of owners beat fucking skyrim

oh, damn

>You play as someone else during the final mission
>Main character dies

its the same for pretty much every game i check depending on how bad/difficult it is
only a small minority actually play and finish games

>one of the main characters accomplishments, and death, are an important part of the story

SaGa Frontier 2 is probably one of the best JRPGs out there.

>B-BUT IT's on le sale and this famous twitch person plays it and makes funny comments when he plays it xDDD

so skyward sword

explain this then?

>debuff boss
>0 dmg

ironic weebs

>weapon synthesis (Dark Cloud/Chronicle)
>RPGs with voiced codecs/glossary (Mass Effect)
>custom soundtrack support
>comfy fishing
>weapon: flail

and this?

>games where debuffs actually fucking work on bosses and your debuff character doesnt just become a crutch

>protagonist has a transformation sequence
rock hard
>can be used in battle at will
gallons of semen

>poison is actually useful
>the boss can be stunned
>debuffs stack

I love post apocalyptic settings that look like shit but can also be quite chill and comfy

>character has lengthy but awesome transformation sequence
>option to turn the animation off and skip right to the form after watching it once

>Protagonist's transformation is the final boss

Jotun

youtu.be/9WYRQXrn7YM

Won't lie I'm just as bad, to the point I've stopped buying games with the exception of Monster Hunter and DBZ. I actually beat 10 games last month.

Speaking of fighting games, the percentages for those are ridiculous. The "Win a ranked match" trophy on SFV for PS4 is sitting at 22.1%, and DBZ's trophies for just playing a match in either ranked or casual are sitting around 25%.

>debuffs stack
>buffs stack
>buff and debuff management is required to beat the boss instead of just fighting a health sponge

>game has dialogue system
>can evade boss fights if your speech is high enough

>game has dialogue system
>game has quest system
>dont have to do either
>can just punch any npc to death
my fallout new vegas playthrough lasted 7 hours because i got a power fist and killed every major npc and ran out of things to do
