Can we have a /technology/ thread?
Can we have a /technology/ thread?
>that horrible reload animation.
the clip just fucking disappears before loads a new one in
>Playing SJW games
The rubble probably disappears because of the patriarchy or something.
Do you mean...TECHNOLOGY?
pretty impressive given how shit of an engine idtech is
TECHNOLOGY?!
>debris just disappears once it hits the ground
>technology
That's not really technology though, just basic destruction and physics.
>clip
That's a magazine.
Now THIS is technology.
>clip
It's a magazine.
>just fucking disappears before loads a new one in
Maybe because OP has custom fov. Like how Sten reloading animation in CoD1 and 2 was literally inserting the same magazine in if you increased the fov.
Conker is the definition of TECHNOLOGY
game ?
>Lefty destroying culture by smashing a statue
Typical.
>idtech
>shit
I think its the Infinite Warfare campaign.
...
How is this TECHNOLOGY?
>smashing
user, I
Killzone: Shadowfall.
Is it not Killzone (ps4) forgot the full name
Too bad Destiny 2 sucks ass.
even the walls are bullet sponges
How is this possible?!
...
I thought it was my webm showcasing the dynamic lighting in the game. Dunno where that went, but it certainly is amazing what the pulled off
...
Is it just me or?
Wooow so impressive lighting carries over water woooow
Why doesn't anyone post 00s Alone in the Dark in these threads anymore. It's top tier TECHNOLOGY
this is the real shit
...
post more AI TECHNOLOGY
youtube.com
...
i think this is prerelease, but maybe not
the game was pretty close to being good, but its shitty release and repetitive nature killed it for me. Also there are no fun builds or sets, abilities are gay but the movement and shooting are kinda okay.
Except enemies will just sit behind cover forever sometimes and completely break the flow of combat
Shit game that was great at everything other than its core, which is all that really fucking matters
And that’s me out of TECHNOLOGY
These threads used to be great but all the old stuff has been lost to time.
>Sneaking around Groznyj Grad with the empty SAA
>Hold up a guard
>When I drop the gun, he attacks
>Try it again, same thing happens
>Realize I released the button too quickly, causing Snake to try to shoot, and the guard heard the click and realized I was out of ammo
This whole game
nah it does the same now it has the best hole technology on the market
what's her problem? npc isn't suppose to react like this
>Explodes into dust when it hits the ground
it's shit.
Is there jet fuel in the sun light?
...
...
...
I think the guy is in space very close to a sun
Shadow Fall.
Where do I find the best GTA realism mods
I tried installing a realism overhaul but it didn't seem to work
that LEVEL OF DETAIL is nowhere to be seen with the developers we have today
gaming reached a high point in 2007 with FPS, and 2006 with WRPG
it has been downhill ever since
...
this honestly looks incredible
Don't try to bullshit us, this is a mod.
No one will probably remember or know what I’m talking about but, game back in the day had a tech called high frequency Textures.
Basically a LOD for Textures, they got more detailed the closer you got. Like micro detail. Last game to use it that I can think of is serious sam.
More games need this.
wow
out of nowhere i see how spoiled and jaded ive become
im sorry, video games.
fear has little to no soft shadow though
Wait what's this
real life
Beta of Kingdom Come
Sea of thieves is comfy, just a shame theres not much to do and you can't customize ships very much
does this count?
Game?
>that LEVEL OF DETAIL is nowhere to be seen with the developers we have today
Take a look at the new Prey game, blows FEAR out of the water in terms of cool detail.
Homefront The Revolution does it too. Supposedly it puddles
2007 has been a turning point for gaming in general
Homefront 2
You can in the full game. I don't know why people keep thinking the beta had all the shit they'll have in the game. Hell the datamine and recent update for the other beta going on right now has a ton of shit not in the previous
beta.
Homefront the revolution I think
Didn't see that one. Homefront The Revolution.
which one
>2007
>the debris stays
just physx nimrod
Well, theres not much to do in the beta, but you pleasantly suprised me, might pick it up when its released
Why is there real life non medieval stuff in it
>bullet never hits a spot
>it blows off anyway
>technology
>HURR DURR
nice rain
nice rain
really nice rain
...
how is the pc port of stranglehold?
What am I suppose to be seeing?
"under construction"
I remember playing it normally back in the day
Why did they have to make shooting mechanics so fucking bad
>Play Doom (1993)
>Bodies stay on the ground for the duration of the level
>Play Doom (2016)
>Bodies disappear after a second
Why can't we get more games with simple graphics and tons of detail?
Decent.
Fov is a bit too low but it's fixable.
What did that dinosaur ever do to you?
He lied about not having feathers
...
trigger warning: motion sickness
What a dick
I think the conker webm is showing off the camera movement.
Back in the N64 days camera movement that actually tracked a character around corners and through hallways like that was rare.
>playing Alpha centauri
>create a valley and add a river
>it traps moisture
>get more nutrients
The beta had less stuff than previous alphas so I hope they just left a bunch of shit out, based on the datamines.
Now that's technology
VR for this is going to be vomit-inducing
Because games have to stay within 60 dollars, graphics are intensive and focusing on details takes too long. If the industry didn't try to enforce themselves into pricing games at 60 dollars, we'd be paying 90 dollarinos to cover their costs.
Shut the fuck up shill
Just spitting the truth
the structural integrity mod is pretty sweet for this too, so the building arent supported by a single beam and shit like that. i really wish more games had destruction like this
>Have a technology thread
>20 million examples of bewb physics that make them just unnatural as fuck
Is this the only game that has ever properly simulated boob itch?
>posts soy cartoons
way to make a point
>we'd be paying 90 dollarinos to cover their costs.
No, the studios and publisher would have to restructure to a place where every single game doesn't have to make them back the GDP of several small nations to be profitable. Like they were when all this tech was achieved in the first place.
