Why? Its shooting mechanics are pretty poor unless you mod it

2 and 3 were better

maybe after years of soy usage

Can't get it to work on win10. Maybe if i try to build a nostalgia machine with my old athlon64.

1 and 3 are the best gameplay wise. 2 is too fucking easy.

Just replayed all three games over the course of three days.
Gameplay: 2 > 1 > 3
Fun: 2 > 1 > 3
Story/Writing: 1 > 2 > 3
Little things: 2 > 1 > 3
Graphics: 3 > 2 > 1

The only reason you fags talk about this game like you played it back in the is because of that crowbcat queer

Maybe you shouldn't projecting this hard

You're shit at the games and have little appreciation for detail.
Gameplay: 3 > 1 > 2
Fun: 3 > 2 > 1
Main Plot: 1 > 2 > 3
In-game Dialogue: 3 > 2 > 1
Detail/Physics/Environmental Damage: 3 > 2 > 1
Graphics: Obvious

3 doesn't exist

only the cod kiddies like it

Who?

I'd rather not as my only option right now is the ps2 version.

I'm glad it had/has that bundle going because now there's been daily Max Payne threads.

Any major issues with the PS2 version compared to PC?

Not that bad if you use auto aim. 3 is the only one I like to use free aim console.

It has its moments, user. I started to appreciate it a bit more five years later.

>Detail/Physics/Environmental Damage
3 doesn't have nearly enough giant chunks of rubble conveniently falling to become stairs

>still no way to enjoy MP3 without cutscenes everywhere
is there a mod or something?

Well then I am a cool kid enjoying a great TPS. Deal with it.
seriously, gunplay in MP3 is one of a kind, I've completed it like 10 times

2 and 3 should never happen

1 was absolute kino from start to finish and it should have ended right there. The ending was perfect

The sequels fucking ruined it. The game didn't need a sequel.

Even if the shooting and the gameplay of 2 was fun then they should have just made that into another franchise and leave Max Payne alone.

MP1 feels like it was a game made by people who had a brilliant idea for a game and then made it real, it's top kino. MP2 and MP3 feel like they were made just because "wow dude everyone liked MP1 so uhhh I guess that means we gotta do MP2 "

The sheer amount of little destructible shit in each level as well as the levels themselves make the shootouts in 3 glorious.

>Gameplay: 3 > 1 > 2
3's gameplay consisted of sitting in cover and peeking whenever you got a clear shot. Trying to take out enemies using actually fun mechanics such as shoot dodge or being mobile usually ends up with you getting killed.
>Fun: 3 > 2 > 1
Again, sitting in cover is not as much fun as being mobile.
>Main Plot: 1 > 2 > 3
Agreed.
>In-game Dialogue: 3 > 2 > 1
Really? MP3 Max had a lot less memorable lines and sweared far too much to be taken seriously. He hardly spoke in metaphors, which was a key part of the Max Payne series. The dialogue between the enemies in 1 & 2 was more fun to listen to than a bunch of spanish-speaking hues.
>Detail/Physics/Environmental Damage: 3 > 2 > 1
Granted, MP3 had better environmental damage but was on the same level with physics. MP2 had impressive physics and the game gave you far more situations to play around with them than MP3 ever did. However, when I was referring to detail I ment about the little things. Unlike in MP1 & MP2, MP3 does not allow the player to interact with the world. In 1 & 2 Max was able to open lockers, turn on showers, sinks and flush toilets. There was also far more television content in MP2.

>3's gameplay consisted of sitting in cover and peeking whenever you got a clear shot
If you choose to.
>Trying to take out enemies using actually fun mechanics such as shoot dodge or being mobile usually ends up with you getting killed.
Git gut.

He's absolutely right and your opinion is shit, though. 3 might as well be a shitty movie.

>hurr durr you don't have to do it
Fuck off, not sitting in cover puts you at a major disadvantage due to how claustrophobic the levels in MP3 are. It is poor design and slows the game down.

Im not exactly a good player in most cases and I run n gunned my way through mp3
Yes, it was fun

Huh? Which TPS have you been playing? MP has great shooting mechanics. They are quite simple but the focus on fast movement and varied weapons make up for that.

I can't, doesn't play well with win10, also bully has crashing issues. Why won't Rockstar release a quick patch to fix these memory problems?

Same with me, it was difficult on console with free aim but that's the point. Cover is brief planning and reloading.

>I can't, doesn't play well with win10
You only need to patch some files and it works fine

I think its actually best to play it with controller
Kb+m makes it a point and click game, and you also cant walk slowly in bullet time while shooting up the place

>not replaying it in December
fuck outta here

I prefer a controller for movement in any game, but you can't beat mouse aiming.

But I replay it every Christmas since 2003. Same with the second one.

Nah, first levels are pure garbage.

On the contrary, I really don't like laboratory and refinery levels at the end of the game and always try to speedrun them as fast as possible.

But they're the best. Worst level is Valhalla lab.
And the worst level in 2 is Mona's house.

won't run properly on Win10

Sure, you cant, but the game feels like it was designed to be played with a controller, mouse makes it too easy. All of your weapons are extremely accurate, you can snipe enemies with an uzi with single shots. In the first game you had to shoot out full magazines at a few enemies to success. Its kinda the same in MP3 if you play it with a controller and your aiming isnt at least decent.

When did Sup Forums become so technologically inept

*blocks your path*

The only level that sucks in the first episode is the one where you have to escort that guy, everything else is good.

There're shortcuts in all mazes so you can clear them in 5 seconds
