So I casually play ROR and mainly solo at that but a few of my discord friends wanted to play together so we did and there was a few randos in our discord that were interested so we added them as well. Everything was alright until one Randos asked if forced item sharing was on and my friend said yes, the dude then freaked the fuck out and called us a bunch of faggots then bounced, can someone please answer why?

I've never actually used it since everyone here hates it, but doesn't that prevent people with more items than others from picking up items? It could be a pain if there's a bunch of items near you and the guy with the least items is on the other side of the map.

Guy who played with item force a few times with Sup Forums years ago.
The reason everybody hates it is because it prevents people from picking more items than others based on who has less and who has more items.
The actual problem is that it keeps counting people who are currently DEAD.
So imagine a few guys die on the early maps? Forget about the survivors being able to pick items. And not only that, but picking a clover for the team is even detrimental for the player.
The way it works, it basically punish players for keeping alive.
