Anyone here played this game? is it worth purchasing?
I'm someone who really loves these types of games so having one that isn't evil genius or DK would be nice but ive heard mixed things in the past. Its been like 3 years now or something so maybe those complaints were dealt with.

I bought it summer 2017 and had a great time with it. It's basically Dungeon Keeper 3. Didn't have any issues with it but end-game balance gets stale quick.
Spent about 80 hours on this before moving on. Will probably get the upcoming DLC at some point and then return.

Quite funny little game highly recommend it if you can get it on sale Or try before you buy w/e Singleplayer was great & multiplayer is aight nice little mix of W3 & DK which was confusing at first then i got the hang of it and really enjoyed it
its alright, but the biggest complaint most people had (and i dont think was ever fixed) was that the amount of time you played didnt do shit
DK, you could grind and level and arena, but the heroes generally built more traps, and also leveld, and you would slowly run out of money
overworld doesnt do that. no one gets stronger. you just train as high as you can, and steamroll, or go early and fail

It's pretty much a carbon copy of DK2 without the atmosphere. I had fun with it for 10 hours.
man, i want a dungeon keeper-esk with an actual dark atmosphere, no tongue and cheek to try to soften the blow of being an evil bastard...
between the two, im leaning towards Dungeons 3, but i mean, i can probably just play both
I found Dorf Fortress to scratch my dungeon keeper itch a little, it doesn't have the evil part of it but the management was good

The game is fun and worth playing if you enjoyed dungeon keeper 1 or 2 but it's way too easy to level your minions to max.

I like the game but the "humor" in it is absolutely awful, and it's doubly bad for machinegunning the shit on your face nonstop hoping that maybe 1 out of 10 of them make you laugh. If it was one lame joke every 20 lines or something it would be tolerable, instead it's literally every second line if not more. It's horrible.
Dungeons 3 is awful. It's more of an RTS with a very shitty Dungeon Keeper tacked on. UI handles like trash.WftO is way more like Dungeon Keeper than it.
