I recently retired from New Leaf due to the general over in /vg/ becoming nothing but a shitshow over the mobile game. Activity Log says I had over 1600 hours playtime. What a run.

Yeah, I'm playing it too. Was a bit unsure about buying it, but going through it really brought back memories of playing the DS original. May get it after all.

Im currently waiting for my new 3ds xl to come in the mail. Upgrading from a launch o3ds. What are some games that are best played on a n3ds?

I've had a 3DS since launch, gone from og3DS to N3DSXL. Awesome system, 7 straight years of solid games. I think I'm about done with mine though, I rarely use it these days and with MonHun no longer on Nintendo systems I don't have much else that I want to play on it.

Just beat all the Shovel Knight campaigns. Might try Animal crossing next.

Nothing right now, since I finished the Superstar Saga remake about a week ago and my time's getting sucked up by BotW, Return to Dreamland, and finishing off Sly 3 after a long hiatus.

I'm planning on playing a Kirby game on it after RtD is done, but am still in the process of settling on one of the following options:

>Super Star Ultra
>Mass Attack
>Planet Robobot

Aside from that, later down the road there's Layton 3 to play and the Radiant Historia remake coming in the mail next week.

You play a kid in old japan around the 50s(?) where monster movies are getting big. And you go around and collect cards and its story driven and other stuff. The monsters that the tv companies play are real monsters tho

There's no game "best played" on a 3ds.

Maybe those SNES games if you really want portability and wanna spend. Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is a good game but you'd rather get it for Vita, and also might be better on IOS as well. Xenoblade is obviously good, but don't know if you rather not play it on a portable machine.

I finally got Taiko no Tatsujin: Dokodon Mystery Adventure and managed to make the DLC work, I love a lot of the songs and am having a lot of fun. Currently stuck against this fag, he spins the notes and I can't follow them.

Why not just inject them like any other retro game on the 3DS? It's not as if it's overly difficult.

Note that a number of late-life releases run like garbage on O3DS. The most recent generation of Pokémon is one of the bigger offhand examples I can think of.

Kirby planet robobot. Not the best Kirby game, but it's fun, colorful, easy, and the music is good. I play it whenever I'm stressed or only have a few minutes to play.

Any game where the 3D was done well and improves the perception.
So I'd say Mario 3D Land, the Kirby games, Kid Icarus and Samus Returns.

Shit hurts after a while though. 3D is such a meme technology, I'm glad the fad is dying over.

I wouldn't be surprised if they went out of their way to make it look less menacing.

to be fair, you don't really need to spend more than like 6-8 bucks on it

and that's a decent price for the hours of entertainment you'll get
