Am I the only one who thinks this looks like an alternate universe Mega Man 9 for PS2/GCN? I don't even mean it in a bad way. The art style just reminds me of games from that time.
Tropical Freeze and Rayman Origins were easily worth it, but they’re also a bit longer than I expect this to be. It comes down to the quality of the game and if it incentivizes replayability
The people working on it made old captor games from Snes to GameCube.
Unlockable characters, boss rush from every mega man game in a gauntlet with a hand full if consumables you can use between fights (like all star mode from smash), 8 bit mode that you can use on the fly like the Wonder Boy remaster, multiplayer of some kind (Co op or competitive), kickass soundtrack, and someone mentioned a level editor.
Several times the amount of content as Shovel Knight and as equally high quality.
High replayability. And that usually comes from having GOOD weapons which make it fun to replay in different orders alongside good stages. Unlockable characters would add to that as well especially if they got their own brand of weapons (unlikely, but the X series did it.)

>Add an optional difficulty in which everything is the same but Mega Man has no invincibility frames
