Why is it so good, lads?

Why is it so good, lads?

It's not.

Randall's story was nice and Joshua Graham was great, but everything else was garbage.

area is pretty open
enemies aren't total bulletsponges
best story of all the dlcs
it's comfy

white people

Good atmosphere, tribal societies are better at showing the devastation and recovery from the war than gray city ruins, Randall Clark, Joshua Graham, Ricky, Sneering Imperialist.
I understand why some people thought it was too boring or short, but it really captured the Fallout 2 flavor no other modern Fallout has, and is my personal favorite.

It felt like a mini New Vegas in terms of map design. It actually did a good job at making it feel like a national park in a canyon. Enemies were varied and there were a decent bit of quests to do.

It appears you posted the wrong image

Pretty much this

I also cant help but wonder if I killed Follows Chalk by telling him to follow his dreams and explore the world or not. I certainly cared more about him than bitch ass Daniel

>best story of all the dlcs
But Dead Money exists user.

>Some plebs actually ruin the experience by using exploits to take the gold.
If you want to cheat, just open the damn console, it's less effort and it doesn't undercut the entire theme of a major questline.

>New vegas praised for having a really open ended main character who all they really were written as beforehand was a courier that was shot in the head
>actually here's your entire backstory fuck you

You're thinking of Lonesome Road.

and even then its

>>Hey heres a thing you were involved with once and didnt really know much about

The entire backstory boils down to "You're a courier." The DLC didn't exactly add anything new that wasn't in the base game.

>Mfw the Courier fucks up the Divide.
Best Area fucked up thanks to worst backstory.

Because Joshua Graham reciting bible verses is the most pleasant sound known to man.

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down. Yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.

My niggas

Good storyline rough mechanics,. It wasent my favorite but I enjoyed certain points a lot and it fit well with the other DLCs

Glad you like it, son...

>Sick of the Boston, miss DC and Vegas

>Install a bunch of new mods for the combined mod, play it and be reminded how fucking horrible the combat is compared to Fallout 4

Honest hearts or new vegas in general?
As a standalone adventure HH was the worst of all nv addons. Im in the minority here, but i would rate dlcs as
DM->LR->OWB->HH.
I love the 'exploring forgotten facilities of the old world' part of fallout more than anything, but HH lacked any and was about some retards. OWB had one big facility and it wasn't forgotten nor interesting. Yeah there was some hilarious moments like the toaster or the whole twist that think tank are actually so crazy and inhuman that its better for them to stay locked.
LR was fine, mix of this and that, couriers past and shit. It was nice.
And BM was fucking great, even with bugs (i had to use console codes to get past stucked quests twice on my first playthrough).

If it wasnt for incredibly retarded autoleveling (some dudes with a leaf for trousers armed with .50 rifles and able to eat several rounds of same .50 in the head is beyond ridiculous and applies to every NV DLC except for BM).

>playing fallout for combat
why dont you play some BoS then you double ghoul?

>Some niggas aren't skilled enough to sneak out without fighting elijah trapping him and driving the point home even harder

>t. virgin sneakfag

Combat is unavoidable in Besthesda Fallout and that isn't my fault, its like 90% of the games

>not knowing about stealth bois

Daniel had a hard life

Too bad you got fucked if you didn't invest in Survival, Melee, or Unarmed. It actually created some of the most nervewracking moments I've ever had playing a game, especially the final rush into the casino.

OWB does give you the stealth suit waifu though.

NV is a game I want so badly to enjoy and have modded to hell and back but still can't really stand the whole 'cowboy western' aesthetic

>there is an item that works better than fully upgraded skill
Sneakfags will defend this.

Well you got shot in the head, their's your excuse for not remebering things.. It's not that much of a backstory. You did your job, bad shit happened you had no control of. but some old world fuck took it personally.

I go
HH > OWB > LR > DM

Honest Hearts is comfy and atmospheric for me. It's okay that it's boring because it's also short, and I really like the landscape. Follows-Chalk is my favourite character - I love "naive tribal wants to go explore" as an archetype.

OWB has spongy enemies but it's amusing and fun.

I like long journeys in vidya and Lonesome Road is that. Shame about the BEAR AND BULL nonsense, which is what drags it down. Fun journey, not enough payoff. It also doesn't capture the "survivalist" atmosphere that such a long journey deserves.

Dead Money just contains nothing I like. Grim atmosphere, boring enemies, annoying gameplay with the radios, and a relatively uninspired tragedy that I don't care about. High drama never really interests me.

Just mod yourself to have taste.

that's their problem

by enjoying a bland dusty desert?

HH suffers so much from its small size. I just cant believe that when basically 90% of the map is a 'taboo place' there could grow any tribal society. Maybe im getting too old for this but this DLC just misses some basic atmospheric components for me. Story is on a decent level and 'father in the cave' storyline is engaging. Yet i dont understand why obsidian made it so small when they probably had enough time after release of the main game.

Its still nice that they made a game that is not for everyone sterile'play by marker' adventure with 'endless' content. I wish there were more games like that and less 'you either like it full or not like a piece of it' types.

>Shame about the BEAR AND BULL
oh right, also
OLD WORLD OLD WORLD OLD WORLD OLD WORLD OLD WORLD OLD WORLD OLD WORLD OLD WORLD OLD WORLD OLD WORLD AMERICA FUCKING SLEEPS

>Daniel is unhappy in every ending
What a bitch.

Faith clearly got him peace his wishes for. What a great example for all those tribals.

...

Don't know, don't remember a lot about it.

L O L

...

you need gentle persuasion

all the dlc people intially thought was terrible turned out to be kino and all the dlc people initially thought was amazing turned out to be kind of shit

The Survivalist made this my favorite dlc.
>January 2nd
>I've been leaving notes for them, and gifts.

>They like the books. Started with stories but moved on to weapons manuals, medical books, practical stuff.

>In the notes, well it's embarrassing, almost like those cards people used to give each other, everything sweet and loving. I tell them to read and to learn and to make the most of their new home. I tell them I'm giving them Zion as a gift to make up for all the sorrows of their lives so far and all the sorrows man has visited on man. I tell them to be kind to each other and modest. I tell them never to hurt each other but that if someone else comes along and tries to hurt them to strike back with righteous anger. Stuff like that. I sign every note "The Father", because well, just because.

this. it was honestly too short and you can't repeat it. Also the White Legs may become non-respawning depending on your ending. The DLC is great if you like camping and the outdoors but after you collect everything, there is no point to stay there.

>that part when he first saw ghoul and thought he was hallucinating
>that part when he had to kill an old couple blinded by the nuke

The different looking environment is really refreshing. I remember when it started raining and it was a moment of "oh it's raining. Oh SHIT, it's raining".
Joshua is a very interesting character with a great voice to boot. "Killing when done righteously is just a chore like any other" is a personal favourite quote. Daniel is also a lot more interesting than I first thought. Went through stages of hating him because he's whiny to liking him because he has a fresh take on things with a noble ambition to disliking him for his messiah complex. Still a good character.
The Survivalist story goes without saying. Don't think I need to explain it.
Just wish the whole thing wasn't a glorified fetch quest.

I played it like this and i loved every minute of it

Fucking another man in the butt is not my kind of persuasion.

BRAAAAAAP

Cummies are the best charm though. You enjoy making them and I enjoy taking them, everybody wins.

>Just wish the whole thing wasn't a glorified fetch quest.
99% of the game is a series of fetch quests.
