nah, the shooting wasn't good enough to be a MP. But it was a good attempt on their part.

1 is the only one i've played and it felt like the enemies became bullet sponges towards the end of the game which sort of turned me off from playing the others.

2 and 3 fix this. The shooting in both is easily some of the best for their respective times. Story in 3 is the weakest of them all, but it still has a movie feel to it regardless. But if you didn't like 1 and the story didn't move you to keep playing you may not like them.

Original is the best, then the second. MP3 is hard to even consider a Max Payne game. Story-wise it’s dogshit and even directly contradicts the previous games. It’s pretty clear that Rockstar didn’t give a shit about the series and only used it for the brand recognition.
