just another battle royal game. roll a fucking die

it's free, just try that shit. if you hate it you saved money on shitty skins and pube gee

Pros: Really Fun when you are winning
Cons: Really unfun when you are losing

Better than alpha test pubg, too bad two games had to die to create FortniteBR.

>Pros: Really Fun when you are winning
>Cons: Really unfun when you are losing
battle royale in a nutshell

Maybe if you like unskilled trash.

It's better optimized in framerate and servers than pubg, but the gameplay is ripped to pieces. Positional audio? Trash. Shotgun damage? Inconsistent as fuck doing 240 damage from across the street two floors up to 17 damage headshot point blank. Gunplay? RNG shit. Positioning? Who cares? Just pirouette a little faggot cuckshed in 0.5 seconds and replace any walls that are shot faster than they can be brought down.

Also it previously had no cash shop but hardcore fans and redditors jerked off the devs enough to provide cosmetic jew shop skins for 20$ a pop. Now there are about 5 costmetics you can unlock for free compared to over 100 if you pay.

in other words mad cus bad

Off to reddit with you, retard.

pubg for babies, can't even drive a car

No shotgun ever could do 240 damage lol. Your just garbo

a decent game to play with friends
a not so decent game to play alone because its a battle royale game

Oh, sorry. 237.5

95 damage with a 2.5x multiplier on headshot. It's nerfed for the patch but is getting adjusted because it was too low for the whiny double pump babies.

and why would you want to drive a car?
the map is smaller you don't need a car

I could also say that pubg is for babies because it has no traps jumppads or building

Did you read TSM (group of pro/streamers I believe) crying about the new shooting model ? That was pathetic.

Better than pubg

If you like battle royale games sure. If you haven't tried one before, may as well make this your first.

The downsides are of course that matches are very luck based. Theres also a bit of downtime, from just traveling around to dieing and needing to start a new match and repeat the process.

I heard about that. Basically everything I've ever heard about people crying about the game don't ever want anything to change because they can't learn to adapt.

Wallspam meta? No it's fine having legendary guns outpaced by the EHP of a fucking wood wall that you can hold 99 of at any time. Any changes would mean my cuckshed strategy wouldn't protect me from my dumb ass positioning failures.

Shotguns not doing over 200 damage? How am I supposed to cope?

Headglitching and ghosting meta? Aw yeah please keep this first shot accuracy I want to really abuse the shitty servers and third person gameplay!

Audio can't tell you where a player is vertically? Fuck it, it's fine as it is!

>95
Lol the rarest pump is no that high

I think I read that they're working on audio verticality. This is a must, obviously. I guess that's where the early access part kicks in. Otherwise yeah, I have to agree with you. Smg and pistols get like 0% use but no, they don't want to let go of their cheese weapon.

>cant learn to adapt
>how dare this game not be the same as other games i already own

orcz.com/Fortnite_Battle_Royale:_Uncommon_Pump_Shotgun

I get they're working on it but this still has to be the worst positional audio I've ever heard in a video game. It's outright shameful. Pubg has amazing sound design and the devs are incompetent as fuck. Why are Epic even worse with their own god damn engine? It's why I gave up on their game. All of these huge glaring issues shouldn't exist, much less take them several months to address.

It's pretty sad no one wants a more varied weapon pool, but it stems into the same issues earlier. No one can adapt their play.

Shotty nerf just makes sliver ars on par with rares of other kinds

>No one can adapt their play.
It was entertaining seeing people crying about the minigun for this reason. Suddenly building isn't the brainless reaction you need to have upon getting shot, and everyone loses their mind.

Anyway the crossbow (silent sniper) comes in a few hours, can't wait to see what it'll bring.

Did you really just post the wiki at me like thats right and up to date? Shottys have only 1.5 time crit and immense falloff

That was literally only implemented this last patch, you daft fuck. Headshot damage was 2.5x for the other 99%. Which is especially why I commented on the fact that recently they dialed it back but are in return turning it back up again because of Reddit whining.

Also you do realize you flat out said that it doesn't even do 95 base damage right? Nice try to draw from the fact you were retarded twice in one go. Also no, they don't have any fall off damage.

Other weapons received falloff damage for the testing (so you didn't have magnums being the best hitscan gun in the game) but shotguns didn't receive the same treatment.

I'd like to try out the Crossbow and the Scoped AR next patch but I'm just done with the state of the game. Until they do significant fixes I'm not wasting my time.

Not the guy you're arguing with but you need to stop defending shotguns, launch the game, grab a pump, press I to open inventory, click on pump and read its datasheet. It does 95 damage.

>heh you said this you said that
>i said this i said that
>reeeeeeeeeeeeetard

Make that every pvp game

Alright from what I got:

Pros:

Cons:
- bad gunplay
- unbalanced?
- cancer community

>Continually argues incorrectly
>Over multiple posts denies being wrong
>Gets proven wrong
>Throws an autismal shitfit instead of just accepting he was dumb

Only serving to prove me right all the more with that post there.

Pros:
-Gets content updates regularly
-Well optimized servers and framerate compared to pubg

The rest is right though.

if you aren't a retard you'd play Fortnite for the co-op PVE mode and not BR

I've been almost solely playing this game for the last three months or so but there's no way I'm going back when the current LTM ends. Guess I'll come back later too.

We can only hope they'll do the recoil + accuracy shooting test. That I'd actually be willing to go over and provide feedback for.

But yeah until that happens it seems like they're hell bent on keeping bloom for whatever reason.

>shotguns are now different
>its still an issue
Pick one

Battle Royale games are utter trash and anyone seriously discussing them is neo-Sup Forums.

Im not, this damage changes dont matter, double pump will still work

Also shotguns already had falloff from the previous nerf dumbass.

Even when the new patch hits that's still 190 damage to the face from a really damn good range.

Worse yet it still doesn't stop double pumps either which is another problem by introducing a faster weapon swap than the fire delay on a regular pump to the extent you can have a ROF faster than a tac shotgun with none of the downsides.

>Was excited for Zombie Home Defence game to play with people online to make cool forts and kill zombies
>Almost bought the limited edition

>Now it is attempting to ripoff PUBG which is just trying to be the new DayZ/Hunger Games survival shitfest.
>Had to remove so many people from my feed because I didn't care for that shit and they now only produce that kind of content

Shotguns already have falloff

Pros:
>Faster paced than PUBG, I can actually finish a match without falling asleep
>Building adds a lot of outplay potential and further separates dogshit players from decent players
>Building also discourages people from camping because you can build yourself into a favorable position and shit on whoever is camping
>Free so your NEET friends can play with you.

Cons:
>Gunplay is kinda shit.
>Solo's usually end up with everyone in the top 10 sitting in a 1x1 tower sniping eachother like fucking bots with the Bolt Action Sniper.
>Game will feel like shit until you get somewhat decent at building.
>Spam building walls to delay your inevitable death is kinda lame.

God you love being wrong all the time.

...

Look your fucking retarded
Its been like this for month's you shitty

Last I checked we're not on patch 1.8.2, we're going onto 2.4.2

Damage falloff values were all changed as a result of the shooting test. Same with the headshot values. Shotguns don't have falloff in Fortnite as it stands.

The PVE mode was pretty trash when I played it. Did they ever fix the pathfinding in the game, or do random enemies still suddenly decide to pound on walls even when theres a clear opening to travel through?

>posting the patch notes for the gun test server when he clearly stated that shotguns already had falloff before the changes.

Retard?

Is there anything more pathetic than the sonybros shilling this crap since they can't play pubg?

It's almost like the new patch over-fucking-rides changes made to the game!

Jesus christ are you seriously that fucking daft? Again, values were modified for the shooting test. Shotguns. Do. Not. Have. Falloff.

it's still better than an obvious PUBG clone for console fags and shitty pc owners, keep buying your battle passes my gois

Oh look the past patch notes happened in the past. It hasnt been revoked so fallout is still on shottys retard

I'm mad at this exploit. The pump design is based on real life pump, a weapon that you have to pump to shoot again, it's like a reload, you shouldn't be able to bypass it. If they fix it you'll still be able to go double pump as it'll grant you two fast and powerful shots, but after that you must pump as intended.

In real life shooting 1 pump doesnt mean your other one needs to be cocked. I want it removed, but its more realistic as is.

I don't like the Pubg crap either, but the PVE content was complete ass. One of the most important parts of a tower defense type game is pathfinding. If you can't control where the enemies go, putting down traps is nearly pointless. As is building anything more complex than a box around the objective.

Yeah faggots that have sonyroaches living in their head rent free. are you a nintendofag too?

it's good if you like soy and indirectly eating out your wife by licking her pussyjuice off of Tyrone's cock

I overplayed PVP and my biggest issue is how grindy materials can be since they can only stack X times and screws are limited, im glad the BR aspect of it is working but I'm not interested as long as the gunplay stay like this it's so unfun jumping around in CQC and hoping to hit or aiming in third person with an AR and hoping your shot hit your enemy just because your gun tier is low is awfully bad. I heard they will rework the gunplay so I can't wait to see how it will work out.

>It hasn't been revoked
Except it has.Clear as day states snipers, launchers, and shotguns do not get any damage falloff in this patch. Next patch scoped ARs also won't have falloff.

Learn to read, seriously. Doesn't know jack shit about this game despite all of the information available.

I meant PVE mybad

The grind was another one of the terrible aspects to it, yeah. Though I wouldn't say it was limited to just resource grind. It felt like literally every aspect of the game was just another grind.

And yeah, the gunplay was also pretty bad. But what pissed me off the most was building forts to defend an objective, some enemies would walk through the doorways/into traps.. And then there was ALWAYS one fucking enemy, usually the weakest type, who would stop and decide to bang on walls. Or other dumb shit, like them refusing to walk UP stairs, and instead choosing to smash them despite them being the fastest way up.

Lots of dumb little shit that wound up causing me to constantly be running around killing enemies manually cause the pathfinding was so god damn awful.

Get shot by a bush a mile away: the game

Its not you retard.
You still dont have to pump any of them if you repeat the sequence

They're fun for what they are. No need to be so upset.

OP here. I was talking about Fortnite itself, not the Battle Royale gamemode. I thought the OP image made it obvious.

>shotguns are unaffected
Somehow you think this means already existing fallout was removed

It's more fast paced than pubg, and building adds another element of strategy to the game. Spamming walls like crazy isn't going to get you anywhere when someone is already making their way up and trapping you
If you get killed by scrubs hiding in bushes, you need to rethink your life

It's okay.

Yeah because it auto refreshes. But if it takes more than 2 shots to kill you then they arent even good at the tech

Games gonna be f2p. Just wait

Well, the non battle royale mode costs money to play at the moment and is -far- from worth it.

As said earlier, its grindy as fuck.Imagine a game that incorporates every mobile game's free to play models and somehow jam them into one game. Thats Fortnite's PVE.

Lootboxes out the ass for progression. Literally everything needs XP to be upgraded, along with special drops past a certain point. And when I say everything, I do mean everything. Weapons, Traps, Heroes, survivors, etc all need to be leveled up. On top of that, theres two seperate XP meters as well, one based on time, the other based on actually doing things.

On top of that, there is an obscene amount of gated content. For some bizarre reason, they lock off basic abilities and crap in the leveling tree. For instance, you can't even play as the what? Four classes? Right off the bat. You need to unlock them via leveling up. As well as unlocking the ability to do an alternate attack.with specific weapons. way down the tree, and other dumb shit along those lines.

And this isn't even touching on the gameplay yet, as again stated earlier resource grind gets annoying and the enemy pathfinding is broken as fuck.

That sounds pretty fucking disappointing. I'm getting sick and tired of all these goddamn grindy games. There are so many games coming out that look really fucking fun, but a lot of that fun is behind hundreds or thousands of hours of grind.

For instance, I've come to terms with the fact that I'll never be able to fly a jet in War Thunder. You can't even TEST DRIVE them until you've grinded your way through the tier just below that, at which point you're only a few hours from actually unlocking it anyway. I've dropped the game entirely -- a game I would have had lots of fun with otherwise.

What they should do is have the blue highlight frame not be visible except when you're about to build an appropriate piece, and make it possible to shoot/move through damaged/unfinished pieces.

>get to Canny Valley
>no more story because we haven't done it
>lol unique tileset? Someone's greedy. Enjoy looking at the desert tileset in your storm shield and nothing else
>new classes have only been added twice and they were for events

Reclaimer makes me mad because it's what all outlanders should be, but even then Reclamation should be better. Every outlander should recharge their skills through kills. But 60 kills (where if you don't get a kill in 15 seconds the counter resets) is something that's only going to happen in long defense missions. 40-45 but without a kill timer would be way more desirable. Or make it 60 without a kill timer for everyone and give Reclaimer a better version of that.

I watched the doc play it today.
Seemed so tedious having to go around grinding and building crap just to compete in a pvp match that will make all that work irrelevant within a minute.

Just make it take longer to get the weapon out.
It would look really cool to see the non fire-arm items in their hand while holding them.

They could make it so if you hold LB it drops the item that your holding. If you hold RB it will go to your first empty slot and you run and jump at 110%. When you hold RB and you don't have an empty slot you can make them flourish the gun or something.

You should be able to drop your harvest tool to gain an extra backpack slot or let another player use it (for the match). This comes at the cost of not being able to gather resources unless you find them or kill another player.

If you hold Y on an exra harvest tool it becomes your equipped harvest tool btw.
They should make your movement speed slower the bigger of a weapon you have (no weapon 110%, pistol, grenades, bandages, shield 105% submachine guns, medkit 100%, ar, shotgun 95% etc)

or just remove building from the PVP mode

>shoot someone, but fail to one-shot them
>they instantly build a fortress around themselves

The worst part about it is the grind is obviously there to divide up the content of the game and slow it down, rather than add anything meaningful.

For instance, you only actually unlock something every two levels at most. The first level is always this pitifully small stat boost thats like 1% more than what your current score is. THEN the next level you might actually be able to unlock something.

To make matters worse, ontop of all the grinding bullshit, they'll also add level caps. So if you say want to level a hero past level 10, you first need to unlock it on the level screen in order to do that. But only for that hero type, since each of the different hero types need different perks to allow them to be leveled past 10. And then again past 20. This crap isn't even exclusive to just heroes either. Since literally everything can be leveled up, you need to get unlocks to do the same shit for everything else too.

Then ontop of all of that shit, theres also the fact that you have to unlock survivor slots. Which give stat bonuses so they're equivalent to gear. Which makes it even dumber since its like preventing someone from equipping a helmet until they're X level, boots at Y level, and rings at Z.

The whole system is retardedly grindy.

>take away the thing that makes it different from other games
Are you retarded?

They could make a soda that you can chug quick that increases your speed by "1" let's say every second. 25 seconds later you have +25 speed for 10 seconds that goes back down by 1 every second until it's back to normal.

if it wants to be PUBG so bad it might as well just be PUGB.

I see, you are retarded indeed

>play fortnite
>aiming feels like shit
>play pubg
>aiming feels like shit
>realize it's an unreal engine game

Do any game devs know why aiming in Unreal games feels like such dogshit?

if I had to make two comparisons, there's good aiming that feels like Source Engine and Frostbite Engine games. In CS and battlefield games, aiming is tight and I feel 100% in control of my gun.

Unreal Engine games feel like your gun is two inches long and any flick of the mouse or tilt of the joystick sends you flying, even with lowest sensitivity. It also feels like there's some kind of innate mouse acceleration despite turning it off. I tried to illustrate this feel with a shitty mspaint. Is this just a flaw with unreal engine?

it was a pretty pathetic post, also fortnite is a piece of shit

To add to this, I think it was around level.. 20? 30? Or somewhere round there before it felt like I had reached the base level of what should have been unlocked by default in the game. And even then, there was still a lot of basic shit that was still locked.

They can make an energy drink you can chug even quicker that does +2 speed per second that goes to 20 then lasts 1:40 seconds then back down 2 per second
(also the soda should do +1 every 2 seconds to 10 then stay for 20 seconds then go down 1 every 2 seconds)

An energy shot (like the 5 hour energy) that you can sling back almost immediately that sets your speed instantly to +30 for 3 minutes then slams back down to regular right away. I wonder if the soda/energy drink/energy shot should affect your jumping too or should that be handled with something else?

Is this a newfag or what

I wonder if they should increase the backpack size and just have the weight of everything you're carrying affect your speed/jump height (as well as equipped item). Could be an alternate way to discourage double-pumping or whatever you're talking about I've never done it.

>pubg has amazing sound design

You dont have to lie friendo. Also your prefered game looks like two assholes shitting back and forth.

Since I'm already ripping the game a new one, may as well also point out that the game design felt like they didn't know what the fuck they were doing.

For instance, your stamina bar also is used for abilities. Which also have long ass cooldowns tied to them on average, and most vary from either situationaly useful at best, or complete garbage.

Oh, cept for the scavanger of course. Whos abilities are tied to finding items scattered about the map. Cept one of them can be allama you have to break to open for materials, and the other is usually a turret. Cept you can't alternate between one, and they're limited resourcs. So you have to summon the llama before you can use the turrets if you pick up one before hand.

Game honestly feels like they had no idea what the fuck they were doing on the PVE

They should make the items the player have visible on their person even when they're not equipped. Would be a sight to see an amalgamated mass of weapons and supplies cavorting to and fro throughout the battlefield.

lmao, this has nothing to do with game engines, it's just the different games designs and mechanics

also you realize you can change aim sensitivity in all shooters right?

literally every unreal game ive played despite all tuning to settings has felt like floaty unprecise shit

you've probably only played shitty games like fortnite and pubg then
