BOTW has a white main character

>BOTW has a white main character
but hes a manlet

>BotW
>masterpiece
kek
It's a good tech demo with a fucking great physics engine that lacks content. Still enjoyed it though.

Origins seems fun so far but I just pirated it so I'll let you know later. Combat is a little wonky at times but better than the previous Asscreed games. Setting is cooler than I expected.
Worth a pirate.

BASED

If you think that you haven't played either of the games. People bitch about shrines but they're a million times better than assassin creed fetch quests

BotW is a bog standard open world borefest, just like AC. It just happens to have the Nintendo logo on the box, so gets 10/10 GOTY ALL YEARS by default.

At least botw has an illusion of adventure and free roaming, origins is just a blatant checklist with dull mission design.

Because one of them is made by Nintendo sweetie

Both are very good games. Happy?

I pirated both of them, that's the most sure way you know you're objective about games.
I'm okay with the combat, it's challenging at least and has a certain flow. The thing I hate the most is the god awful music and that the main character RUNS SO FAST ALL THE TIME, why did they do this, it's a total immersion breaker when you run like an animal through a city.

Get a load of this retard

*Chucks bottle of fermented Jenkem at you*

I think the reason people praise BotW as a masterpiece because it doesn't hold your hand quite as much as other open world games.
Besides that it really doesn't do that much different. It just subconsciously feels like it.

AC Origins recreates a portion of Egypt faithfully, meticulously researching the historical locations, people and climate of the time. BotW hands you a couple of fields and a handful of mountains, before making you pick up every rock to find plopplop seeds.

>People bitch about shrines but they're a million times better than assassin creed fetch quests
I think it's you who didn't play the games, because there are almost no fetch quest in origins, and shrines in botw were fucking horrible in every acpect.

Don't tilt the stick all the way to make him walk retard.

Huh? ACO also has "shrines", you explore tombs to get treasure and solve simple shit puzzles, just like you do in BotW. And did you really forget that BotW has literal fetch quests? They're easy to forget, they're pretty shit

It has a tutorial that lasts about 2 hours..

I agree, both were 8/10 games

Assassin's Creed Muslim Edition wasn't really necessary

>Muslim Edition
no Sup Forumstard, you're wrong, the muslim edition was the original game, this one just has a lot of brown people

>illusion of adventure and free roaming, origins is just a blatant checklist with dull mission design
Oh yes, ACO gives you a boring checklist of dull assassinations around the world that you can do at your own pace in your own order. Meanwhile BotW gives you free roaming experience of adventuring to dungeons around the world that you can do at your own pace in your own order. Very different experiences, nothing alike. Just not the same without that Nintendo logo

ha, baited

wat
why

>Ancient Egypt
>Muslims
Are you some special kind of retard?

I found it actually good but they are quite similar.

oh yeah, I remember that working perfectly in black flag when I played it on the old xbox, but I'm using keyboard and mouse, and the default mode is him running.

>playing an asscreed game with M+KB
Use a gamepad you mong.

PC fags can't regulate the speed on their PCfaggy keyboards. Imagine playing third person games running everywhere at the same speed. Sad.

and why I can't play with Cleopaetra colossal faggot

>Bumping your own bait

You sound buttmad.

U were mad enough to reply, umad bro?

>So what makes this game crap or meh
Nothing. It's fantastic, and BotW is just a boring, lifeless clone of an AC game, desu.

That Nintendo sticker is worth a lot to soyboy games journalists though.

my toaster can't run it very well, so I play it on low settings and sub resolution, remanded me of BOTW instantly.

Why don't I see subtitles or hear voices in cutscenes? Did the Fitgirl installation fuck up?
I already checked my sound device was set to 2channel stereo out (not surround) but no dice.
I'm using an external audio interface BTW, could that be messing with it?
Don't think that's it though since subs don't work.

I'm playing the CPY version and everything works fine. You tried reinstalling it?

It's not a Nintendo-exclusive.

And waste another 3 hours waiting for this shit to install? No thanks. I'll just play it without.
Fucking Sup Forums meme'd me into Fitgirl. Just pirating regular CPY next time again.

This is unironically the best AC game to come out after BF and Rogue. I thought I'd dislike the combat, but it's basic enough to be enjoyable, unlike Syndicate. They also improved the freerunning mechanics by a large margin by eliminating the up/down movement.
I like it, but I haven't left Siwa yet. It's a solid 7/10 right now for me, maybe more when I finally get the hidden blade.

I liked both, and Horizon.

>3 hours

my installation took like 15 minutes

you sure your hardware isnt outdated?

Yes, it is.

Honestly it just feel like Nintendo drones never played an open world game before and were just amazed by it, one of the things I always hear is that "the world is not empty and there's shit to actually do" which really solidifies my theory, I mean even fucking Bethesda games like Oblivion have shit for you to do, you go from town to town and each has interesting quests like the fighters guild or that one group of thief ladies that seduce thier target and the guy wants his ring back, hell even the dark brotherhood is a great set of quests, all very unique and not fetch like at all, similar thing with Skyrim, New Vegas or whatever, sure you may say the gameplay loop is similar like going into dungeons and killing things sometimes to achieve those goals but you could say the same thing about combat in BotW really, it just seems so retarded that it's lauded as this massive great open world game when honestly I think there's much better out there with more interesting content to play through

they're comparable, BOTW is more fun though.
I'd give a 6.5 to ACO and a 7.8 to BOTW
there's no way fitgirl took 15 minutes
did you download and select at least 1 language pack during installation?

Just checked. You mean the selective files yeah? I missed those indeed. Now donwloading the english.bin file.
Can I just insert the files manually or do I need to reinstall the entire game again?

Better world design and interactivity. As in the whole chemistry engine thing.

AC Origins is a super solid game though, definitely one of the better one in recent years. The world design is phenomenal. Not as "playable" as BOTW, as in tuned for maximum playablity and interaction above all else, but it's definitely more cohesive and realistic.

Ubi really just should hand the series to Ashraf and his team. There's been 2 good AC games since brotherhood, and that was on his team.

>BOTW is more fun though.
why though? What makes it morr fun that you are willing to give it almost 2 poins better score?

>pirate it
>play 5 minutes
>dark souls combat shit and run around the enemy attack him from the back
Fuck this boring garbage

Pleb

Botw has better movement, better world design, better combat, better enemies, better puzzles, better boss fights
Origins has good world design for realism sake but not for gameplay, combat and movement is casual ass creed run of the mill shit, enemies are retarded
Assassin's Creed is how you do an open world wrong. Botw is how you do it right.

I downloaded it the other day, my god is it boring. Why the fuck is there so many cutscenes and auto-walk segments. It also feels really janky, like there's too much going on.
I might give it another shot, but already I don't care about the story, and faux-RPG-lite mechanics are tedious, the menus are annoying, and like I said above the gameplay feels really rough and unpolished, not smooth at all.

>Chromatic Aberration

...

you have to delete the installed folder and run the srtup again
ill list a few things: the wacky shit you can do with the physics, in and out of combat, solving the puzzles is more fund than aligning the stars or finding the treasures out in the open, traversal with parachute is better than the parkour in ACO, which seems one of the weakest in the series.

It's the effect from being in the desert.

Genuinely, what more is there to fucking handhold? It has a giant mandatory tutorial just to tell you "RUN @ SHRINE, EXCHANGE 4 HEARTS" which basically forms the majority of the game. What's there left to do, point out where you get the respawning supply of hearty durians?

>you have to delete the installed folder and run the srtup again

Ok, you are retarded for not seeing the differences and even more retarded if you expect me to get baited into an essay of typing out what the differences are when BOTW is clearly better.

Respond to me.

GRAPHICS REALLY SHITTY, UH
COMBAT PRETTY IFFY, UH
WORLD NEARLY EMPTY, UH
IF YOU LIKE BOTW YOU MUST BE A NINTENDIE, UH

That's better. Does the pirated version run any better or it's just bypass?

Man, at this rate BoTW will create more asshurt than Bayo did.

game is good
flaws : story and forced grind

Just a bypass from what I heard, I didn't pirate it because the game is actually good.

equal outside of launch times, it's always been the case

because there are almost no fetch quest in origins

I just hit lvl 20 and did at least a dozen. One quest was literally: go here and fetch 4 corpses for me but you can only carry one at a time. I almost called it quits right there

BOTW isn't an assassin game so having your assassination prowess gated by levels and gear is just hot garbage.

origins was the first game in a very long time where the open world didn’t bore me to tears.

There was so much stuff to see and so little copy paste.

The opening is quite horrible, but once you pass it, its pretty solid

I thought the story was good. They actually fleshed out a character and made you care about him
The way he caves in the child killer's head with the Apple was so satisfying
Also his wife is perfect
>hey honey, can we go back to the way things were?
>nah, I've got some people to murder tomorrow. But tonight, let's fuck like animals

Welcome to assassin's creed

>tfw making Senu DO A BARREL ROLL

There's actually quite a lot of copy paste assets, it's just utilized smartly.
Like, when I was playing, I noticed a lot of the same walls , furniture, trees, pillars, railings, shit like that, but rarely in the same layout.

The story would've been good if it doesn't fall apart in the third act. There's this slow build of Bayek and Aya slowly drifting apart, Bayek wanting to go back and chill, and Aya wanting to police the world, basically, but once you meet up Caesar, it just goes off the fucking rails.

Bayek's definitely a super strong main character though, at least relative to the series. He's probably my favorite behind Altair.

botw and origins are both horse shit compared to witcher 3.

t. fucking ndroid. How is it so easy to spot you fags?

The switch is my first Nintendo item since the Wii. I just hate assassin's creed with a passion since I love stealth and love history and ass creed botches both of these concepts on a gameplay level
Maybe some day I'll pirate origins and play through the tourist mode

What the fuck happened to the stealth in Origins? Like, the coolest thing about the franchise is the whole hiding in plain sight bit.

Say what you want about Unity, but that game did that best.

The stealth is tons better in Origins, what are you on about.

>The switch is my first Nintendo item since the Wii
You say that lije there has been hundrets of consoles between thise two, hance I now know you're an ndroid.

And if you haven't played it, how can you know it's better or worse?

Unity actually has the best stealth, combat, and world design in the series yet the fans of assassin's creed hate it because they prefer terrible things

I say that like there's been 12 years between them where I haven't played any Nintendo shit. I grew up with a Ps1 and 2. I'm no Nintendo dick sucking faggot and Botw is even my first zelda.
Botw is good open world design, every assassin's creed game is bad. Both of these statements are irrefutably true

Crossdressing

>Botw is good open world design, every assassin's creed game is bad. Both of these statements are irrefutably tru
kys edgy kid

I really like Unity, but even I admit that it's a busted piece of shit, and deserves some hate. Combat's in the spot where it looked good on paper, but was bad in execution. Stealth was good because it more than "hide in bush", and world design was indeed top notch.

Like, it's better to play, yeah, but it's now a regular, line of sight based stealth. They took out ALL the social stealth aspect. Blending in crowds, playing with crowds, hiring distractions, the whole high profile/low profile actions, and so on. Like, I enjoyed Origins, but definitely not for the stealth aspect. I mean, I get that it might be a circumstance due to the setting, but still.

>Combat and world design
That's just fucking wrong mate. Paris is solid, but it doesn't hold a candle to Egypt, and the combat was straight up shit. You're on point on the stealth though.

And also, people hated it for a reason. For the longest time during launch, that game was fucking broken. Even now, it's still not too great, optimization wise, granted that one is at least understandable due to how fucking pretty the game is, but still.

Assassin Kangz Origins got 84 on Metacritic.

If we apply the +10 Nintendo bonus, that's 94. Pretty close to Breathe of the Wild.

So, that's how.

>walk towards enemy
>red skull marker pops up above head
>walk away
would be neat if you could git gud instead of levelcapping everything

BOTW was made by Nintendo.

"open world"

Do they still have that flash forward to the future bullshit? That ruins every ass creed i try to get into

Yea but you can go straight back into the animus. They don't force you to do anything in the future world this time around.

Yeah, but at least it only happens like maybe 3 or 4 times in the whole game and they're pretty short if you just rush through it. They barely matter at all, just an excuse for having videogamey stuff like synchronization failure in the game and such.

They made a mistake of releasing this game in an incredibly busy month where other AAA titles are release. Ubisoft should trying selling their games in the month of January where there is little to no competition. This game is actually quite good

Ok, ill check it out

>better world design, better boss fights

youtube.com/watch?v=GfyvmMyTFb4
kek you are delusional if you think any of the BotW boss fights were any good, the ganons are a joke on multiple levels except maybe the thunder one

Only one of these games was made by Nintendo.

>you can only carry one at a time
Think outside the box, retard. Put a body on your horse's back, carry the second body to the objective and call your horse. Do this two times and it's over

Witcher 3 is great until you realize its open world is literally empty

>What the fuck happened to the stealth in Origins?
They fixed it
