Got a ps4 pro not long ago and the screen goes black then comes back on like the hdmi is resetting itself. Any ideas?

Have been playing Odissey on switch, MonHun and SoC remake on ps4 pro and yakuza3-5 on ps3 in anticipation of 6. Also Max payne 3 on pc(gtx970, Ryzen 1600, 16gb ram plenty for 1440p on high settings and fps).
Have you tried different hdmi cable/port?
Fuck you xbox, I got nothing to play after Sunset Overdrive and just gave it to my friend so he can play nhl.

I have that sometimes, only with ps3 and ps4. I have two HDMI on the tv and I switch them when it happens, or just reverse the connections. It usually works.

A friend's Ps4 seemingly died recently, just refuse to fully switch on. Is it better to get it fixed or just get a Pro?

Have you tried different psu? They usually die first. Other than if he has 4k tv,then go with Pro.

Hdmi cable is brand new with the ps4 pro itself. Samsung 4k tv has 3 ports all are 2.0usb capable. Only seems to do it on non pro supported games.

The solution seems to be to put the ps4 in safe mode and change the hdcp from 2.2 to 1.4. Something about the 2.2 being a safeguard to pirated 4k content

I own a great PC and a Switch but PC is the only mandatory platform to own. Anything else is just icing on the cake.

Well it does turn on, just can't reach the XMB, and can't rebuild database from safe mode. Thanks for the advice.

No shit I hear you. Just recently fired up horizon zero dawn and the fans constantly spin up and down, makes me think the shit is faulty. Uncharted 4 is completely quiet and you would think they have relatively the same demand on the console

I think I remember this issue now. It required what other guy said or either tv software patches. This was Pro launch issue I think

Thanks man I'll look into it. From what I understand, which isn't a lot, if the hdcp is on 1.4 am I still getting 4k quality

You can also try changing tv's uhd connection settings
