>katawa shoujo and tripfag/slav containment board

that ogse user edition mod, I dont know how to install it though

anything but Complete

and Lost Alpha

I just use the v1.005 patch with the 90fov mod

AMK
Absolute Nature & Structures

Zone of Alienation? It has that autistic as fuck /k/ feature where you manually load in your magazines and adds some new guns too iirc.

Its a bit unstable tho

Just play Call of Chernobyl user.

isn't that just an empty free-roam mode of sorts with no story/quests?

It is in the readme.

Different user here. You need the addons, like DoctorX's quest addon.

I dunno, it has the possibility of feeling empty, but it's the most immersed I've ever been while playing STALKER. I'll mostly being playing CoC from now on, probably. Ironman is especially fun for immersion.

On topic, last time I played modded SoC, I liked AMK the most. Granted, that was at least 5 years ago.

>gem
Back to redddit my friend.

what patch version do I need? 1.0005?

SoC - AMK
CS - SRP + AO
CoP - OWR
for tru stalker experience - CoC with addons tailored to your taste
seriously, vanilla is garbage and gunplay makes me rage so much

Thanks buddy, gonna try it out!

Autumn Aurora 2.1

Yes. That's also in the readme.

>AMK
>Autumn Aurora
What are the differences?

run the uninstall.exe mod. It saves you from playing a shit game

what didn't you like about it?

Probably outdated by now, but it's still a fairly good guide.

Automn Aurora adds bunch of shitty black & white filters because supposedly that's what a post-apocalypse looks like

So is call of pypriat any good? Loved shadow but didn't like clear sky all that much.

It's very good but I personally prefer SoC because of the atmosphere and better world.

it's the best of the series imo

>tfw stalker 2 never ever

None
You play the vanilla version with all the bugs and glitches

SotC main menu music is to this day some of the most eerie shit ever

youtube.com/watch?v=1siPgAVOAtU

I personally didn't like it that much because it's mostly just you doing bunch of side quests and that's it. (they're still good and has bunch of various ways to deal with things)
It's pretty much just meant for you to explore shit and find stuff on your own. Not that much of spooky moments like in SoC because the world feels pretty passive and empty, imo.
That's just my opinion, I'm sure some anons think it's the best STALKER game but I prefer SoC because it had better locations, decent story and great atmosphere and lots of spooky or wtf moments.
CoP is a lot more polished though so it won't crash and is very stable.

even if you aim at them your bullets will randomly not do damage (its a feature xd)

also the game is a glitchy low quality mess

just get a weapons overhaul mod
I had the same problem as you because the vanilla gunplay is just garbage with rng bullet drop and mechanics but modded with realistic ballistics and damage, it's one of the best FPS experiences I've had
You don't even need to mod it with 200 mods like for example Skyrim.
Just install a mod like OWR that fixes guns (adds new textures, animations, fixes gun names) and doesn't add anything else and you're good to go imo (of course bugfix mods are a must too)

The only one that doesn't need fan bug fixes nor rebalancing to be perfect. Try Absolute series of graphical mods for max enjoymenent.

And after you're done with it's more free roam structure, play the Call of Chernobyl mod, add weapon mods, Warfare, and DocX's faction stuff and never look back.

>he played on a difficulty other than master

AMK 1.4
It's pretty much faultless. You need the 1.0004 basegame patch though.

even on master your bullets magically disappear or go a miss even if you aim completely at enemy from point blank range, low crouched
all it does is increase damage but enemies in with armor still take clips to take down if you don't aim for the head

My favorite

oblivion lost

I'd recommend looking into a weapon damage addon too, like the one that's meant to be used with the Arsenal Overhaul addon. I noticed in CoC, enemies actually fairly often survived headshots, and I only played on Master. It was pretty frustrating to look at, so I'd definitely install AO3 and the weapon damage addon.

Another addon you might like is Warfare. It makes factions more fluid. Factions will roam the map and fight over territory that they then take over, along with ceasefires being possible between factions such as Duty and Freedom. It can however result in silly situations like Monolith fighting the Military and Loners at the Cordon. I, personally, don't use it, but I'd like to maybe check it out one day. The potential for immersion-breaking nonsense keeps me away, but I bet you'd also see a handful of scenarios that truly make the world seem more alive, but the base game feels plenty alive to me already.

This is a really dumb game mechanic, but when you see enemies sort of flinch/recoil from being shot, they are completely invincible during this animation unless you hit them in the head. I believe this is what causes people to think the enemies are such bullet sponges.
