I have around 500 hours logged in PvP and at best I would rate my aim at average level. How do I improve it? Playing PvE but it doesn't help, despite dedicating quite long time to it. I already trained myself to keep crosshair at head level and exedra but it isn't that much of a help.
Another thing that gives me cancer is sensitivity. I just can't find any comfortable one, tried using low sensitivity but in this game it's just disadvantage and it's very tiring to play, on higher one it's very hard to be more precise. How to find "middle ground" good compromise?
Is it even possible or it's just too late and I will ever be just average.

set sensitivity to 7 aim sensitivity to 32

Make sure your FPS is at least always 60 if possible, dropping below that really messes with your aim
Nolan Bennett
The simple answer is just play more. You see, FPS is the genre where you least struggle with the controls or understanding of metagaming and hidden/obscure mechanics. You just point and shoot. So there's nothing to "train" that you need to go out of your way in specialized maps or regiments to do, what you're doing the first time you booted up the game is what you will be doing the last time you will boot up the game, and players immediately understand how to play an FPS the moment they first start it.
So if you want to train your aim, simply participate in the action more. Of course in Siege(or any PvP shooter really) this is a problem since the "action" never lasts long before a player dies, so if you just want a general motor and aiming skills improvement you could go play some old school singleplayer FPS games like Doom, Duke 3D, and Quake.

Why is this games sensitivity so high? Anything above 20 and I'm spinning around everywhere. My mouse is only at like 500dpi too
Brayden Rivera
PC or console? Play around with the sensitivity to see what you are comfortable with. You can also slowly increase the sensitivity bit by bit as your reaction time improves.
Adam Gray
My PC can run it stable FPS, so this isn't an issue. My old sensitivity was 8/8/43 and my arm was getting tired very quickly because it was so low. To play more I need to find better and more comfortable sensitivity. Sinking in more hours while not being able to find any comfortable sensitivity won't get me far. PC. That's what I tried but single point in ADS makes the sensitivity either more twitchy or "heavier".
James King
I think better aim could be swapped with better map knowledge. I don't know if you are referring to Siege, but there you should be already aiming going around corners and know where the doors are.

I know most common spots but not like every time there's gonna be somebody there. Most od time oeople hide in less obvious spot or flank around or come less obvious directions. That's where good aim helps, if I have to swipe like 3 times to turn around single corner then it's a problem. What do you mean setup?
My mouse is Bloody A5 Tech and mouse pad Steelseries Qck.

Shit engine and high latency, look no further.
Everyone with aiming finely honed throughout the years over hundreds of FPSes are shit in this game. It's all about exploiting the engine.

Try toggling ADS instead of hodling.
Disable vsync if you didn't. Even though it's rather obvious it sometimes happens.
Aiden Gomez
why toggling tho? Does it really help with accuracy?
Robert Richardson
It's pretty much the same but I have some free lose cable on desk so mouse doesn't get stuck. Prefiring in this game and high ping seems like a way to go. Tried using toggling but it's not not that good especially when moving a lot.
Brandon Ward
Yes. Not having to push the mouse down makes it easier for me. The only downside is the slower speed.
Nolan Myers
Do you move your whole hand? I only recently started playing and had to basically re-learn how to use a mouse.
Owen Hughes
I do but still with low sensitivity I have to do couple swipes in ADS to look in other direction. With high sensitivity it's hard to "lock" on single spot especially with holo.
Jonathan Harris
then up the sens. to 700-800. In-game is basically a multiplier. Look up pros settings on gooble
Cooper Thomas
I'm using 800 DPI. Tried using various pros sensitivities but they have different setups or mouse pads so it doesn't work. It's somewhat good entry point

>exedra can we ban amerimutts from life? please
Nolan Murphy
>exedra I can't believe nobody's called you out on this yet. Here's how you set sensitivity in any game: move the camera a full 180° and measure the distance your mouse moves. Write it down. Figure out if that feels too long or short for you by going to the extremes; bump up sensitivity by a couple steps so it feels way too fast, then retake the measurement. Reduce sensitivity slowly until it feels natural, like you think "what's behind me" and your arm moves that much automatically. Once you have that measurement of actual mouse movement, you set the sensitivity in any game to match it.
