Kirby has never had a bad game

Kirby has never had a bad game

because all kirby games are the same game

Objectively his games are all okay/good.

But after dreamland 2 they got way too kiddy for my liking. I wonder if Sakurai even wanted it that way

I don't think that I have ever played a Kirby game but I love the little qt.

Never really had a good one either.

...

this
all games are "ok" but they are never above or below ok
still fun tho

Kirby on the 64 and everything after it.

*clears throat*

>Kirby Fighters Deluxe
Bad fighting game. Aweful physics for a fighting game and you can only play as one character.
>Team Kirby Clash Deluxe
Boring freemium game. Full of samey boss fights that take forever to get to if you're not buying crystal apples.
>Kirby Blowout Blast
Bad and very limited 3D platformer. Even Super Mario 3D Land had more depth, creativity and heart.
>Kirby Battle Royale
Bad as an action game, bad as a mini game collection, strung together with an atrocious story mode to boot.

>Even Super Mario 3D Land had more depth, creativity and heart.
You say that as if 3D Land was bad by 3D Mario standards

Air Ride was shit. The only remotely decent part of it was City Trial and even that was bogged down by the shitty mechanics that plagued the whole game. But contrarians will pretend it's good so that they can continue to push the "le no bad kirby games xd" meme

>Kirby on the 64 and everything after it.
No, in fact Kirby 64 is the only good Kirby game.

Rainbow Curse

Oh fuck you Subspace, was the best kirby game.

>Tilt n Tumble
>Canvas/Rainbow Curse
>Dream Course
>Mass Attack
>Air Ride
>Epic Yarn

What's with this recent meme of all Kirby games being the same? That may be true of the platformers but Kirby is Nintendo's favorite "let's experiment with something new" character.

The only people who didn't like Air Ride are people who had no friends.

That's like saying New Super Mario Bros isn't stale because Mario Kart and Mario Party exist.

No Kirby games are all that amazing either. The games have not been challenging since the first game

>i-it's good with friends though
Pretty much every game is good with friends. If I had friends over, we'd much rather play Mario Kart: Double Dash. If I wanted to play a game by myself I would play F-Zero GX. Air Ride is just a shitty racing game.

are we all just going to collectively forget that Super Star exists

i agree

I will say Kirby never outright had a bad game, but there are a few mediocre ones or ones I just didn't care about.

If you only count official Nintendo-made games then most of their IPs have never had a bad game. The only bad games are ones like the CD-i games.

That's a nice OPINION you have there

No.

We haven't had a completely original and fleshed out style of gameplay since Mass Attack in 2011, though

Then why is he so mad?

Whats the name of that happy expression on Kirby and Isacc with the lower eyelids raised and mouth agape?

9/11

It's called smiling, user.

It's bland by 3D Mario standards. 3D World is much better and it's still a bit lacking.

...

>But after dreamland 2 they got way too kiddy for my liking.
What did he mean by this?

Only correct person in the thread
Even BR has it's redeeming qualities

Literally why did they pick Kirby from all Nintedno IPs to make yearly rehashes for?

>copypasting boxarts is to be praised

Most NA box arts look as good or better there though. The only exception might be Nightmare in Dream Land, Amazing Mirror and Air Ride.

>Kirby lives a happy and care free existence prior to 9/11
>Kirby gets angry after 9/11
>Kirby gets happy again when bin Laden dies
>Kirby gets mad again when he discovers bin Laden's death was a hoax

All good games except Mass Attack. Dream Course and Air Ride are especially good. The actual bad Kirby games were listed in the thread already.

>>copypasting boxarts is to be praised
What kind of mentality is that? It's the same game, why not have the same box art? What happened to respecting the artist's vision?

Being challenging is the appeal so much as being a bouncy wrecking ball of pink destruction with no shortage of ways to rip through cutesy enemies/environments.

>The games have not been challenging since the first game
Kirby's Dreamland can be beat in under a half hour. I hope you aren't implying that it's difficult, even for Kirby Game.

Being challenging *isn't* the appeal

Opinion discarded. Do aa 15 second research next time faggots
I can get behind this line of thinking. While I think Kirby super star, planet robobot and Triple deluxe are good games, it's subjective.

I didn't like Kirby avalanche, but it's mainly because I suck at puyo-pop and never bothered to git gud and this particular puzzle game. It's not because the game is bad.

>inb4 kirby air ride

Did anyone play it? I still fire up kirby air ride with my bros for a couple of city trial games and we still have a blast doing so in 2018. I'd kill for a sequel of that.

Mass Attack Kirby looks more mischievous than angry

...

I loved Kirby 64

HEY RETARD:
>Battle Royal
>Blowout Blast

Does anyone here know jap and wanna translate this? There could be some interesting shit here.

Rainbow curse is fucking mediocre at best so no.

You're missing some of it, the part on the left has some rare concept art and a Dedede screenshots.

If you wouldn't combine those together to make a true 3D Kirby game, then what would you do?

I recently pirated Battle Royale and it really isn't as bad as people say. The gameplay is addictive and is exactly how I would want a 3D Kirby game to play.. My only real issue is that the online mode is atrocious, disconnects and lag happen constantly. It's also severely limited, you can't even set up private matches with people on your friends list. It's blatantly obvious that the online was an afterthought and that local play was the main focus.

>blowout blast
>bad
the only thing bad here is your taste.

I believe this unironically and wholeheartedly.

I can't imagine Battle Royale being anyone's vision for 3D Kirby for all these years. That requires both a non-existent imagination and the ability to keep your expectations on the floor.

It feels good to play and I think it's the most feasible way to do copy abilities in 3D.
I don't really understand why everyone hates Battle Royale so much.

honestly it does seem like they where testing the waters to see how abilty's could work in a 3d environment.

We need an true 3d Kirby game like Mario 64.

I agree

AMAZING MIRROR

FUCK YOU

*ruins your track record with repetitive minigames, shit online, and shallow single player that only the most desperate fanboys will defend*

Canvas Curse exists.

Are we just going to forget the 3DS shovelware era happened?

That plush is so cute!

It defined the showy and self-fellating "modern kirby" style that we'll be stuck with from now on.

havent played planet robobot but I thought triple deluxe was a fun little platformer. I'm looking forward to seeing new kirby games in the future

You should definitely go and play Robobot if you liked TD. I loved both. TD and Robobot are the entire reason I'm excited for Star Allies.

I've never been a fan of Kirby.

Sorry to hear, user.

Couldn't you atleast try

Is Triple Deluxe the smallest Dedede has ever been?

You seriously need to get Planet Robobot, it's amazing

Kirby has only had bad games

DL3's Dedede was around that height as well

MLP has never had a bad episode, it's still gay as fuck and made for small children

>comparing kirby to that shit

DL3's Dedede was consistent with the other sprites, around 2 Kirbys tall, but DL3's sprites were smaller than the other non 8-bit sprite games. I think Triple Deluxe Dedede might be slightly smaller than he was in Dream Land, in relation to Kirby, but I think his bizarre proportions make him look even smaller than he is. He's got narrow sleeves, big hands, a defined neck, a massive hammer, and a wide mouth.

Shame your opinion on the matter is trash

>Superstar's boxart in japan is just kirby in wood
100/10

shit's all subjective, but i'm glad you're able to enjoy all the games.

The old Kirby logo looked better.
