kino

would advise you to return it if possible

bad game

A good game with some interesting mechanic but flawed technically.

Don't touch 2 it's garbage

i pirated it
return it where

people saying it's bad are legit brainlets

it's a superior RE4. The story needs some digesting but it's pretty interesting too, for gameplay it's pretty challenging and complex enough for multiple playthroughs.

2 was weird. I actually liked the """""open world""""" part it had in the neighborhood, starting out and finding the weapons, finding the ghost chick, and I thought it was going to build more on those things and just go bigger and better.

But the moment you leave for downtown it railroads you down main quests and there's nothing nearly as interesting as the stuff discovered in the neighborhood. My interest REALLY died off when the achievement for getting all of the coffee stations popped, because I knew at that point that there wouldn't be any new areas.

1st game sucked. Over designed and lacks subtlety. Babies first horror game.

2nd game was a lot better, a much more Hollywood approach to it. It mixes with its Japanese roots, which isn't neccisarily a bad thing

One of the most underrated gems of all time.

It's a million miles away from perfect but it's a lot of fun and some of the boss fights are genuinely very tense on your first play through.

Don't waste your brain goo on the melee upgrade

It's ok. I only play it while high to really immerse myself into it. The writing is so bad it's good, however I don't think the director and writer wants me to laugh at the script. So far the best experience was the beginning because you have to use stealth and environments to deal with enemies since you get only a couple bullets and two or three different weapons. It's becoming slightly boring when I am carrying grenades, sniper rifle, crossbow, shotgun and pistol at the same time and my pistol is upgraded so that headshots have a pretty high chance to immediately pop the head. Also since matches can be used to kill enemies you pacify with nonlethal crossbow ammo you get basically too much gear and it seems to be deliberate because now I am pitted against big waves of enemies here and now and it's just boring.

The hospital section with invisible enemies and very low resources was one of the best experiences I had in a long time though. Sadly the director doesn't seem to understand what makes and what breaks the atmosphere and gameplay.

My interest died during the first area of the cultist arc. Once I found out I was just going to keep fighting the same type of enemies, I just decided to drop it.

Unoptimized and horrendous design decisions. It can get pretty spoopy tho

eye bleed

It's an amazing game that you have a 50-50 chance of loving or hating. There is no middle ground.

I've played through TEW and its DLCs several times and still consider going through it again even now. Many people give it grief for the strange(but very intriguing) story and tedious mechanics(extensive use of one shot kills, etc.)

It's a very atmospheric game and is good with setting up locales only for them to change at the drop of hat. The second game is alright.

i actually really liked the first one. shit is relatively tense all throughout

the second kind of ruined itself. main character talks way too much and just says generic bullshit, the plot is wack, and you get so many upgrades that it just makes the monsters barely a threat, so the tension is taken away towards even mid-game.

but yes, the first evil within is worth it.

haven't seen that jpg in a long time. thanks lad

The problem with 2 is that it lacked any tension the 1st game created coupled with the fact that stealth is broken and all the mob are bullet sponge even when you headshot them make the game a chore to play.

The first game had that tension so well done that you were safe nowhere until the credit scene rolled and everything was so much more deadly that it leaved no space for error and it was great.

Anyways hopefully John"shit"Johanas stay away from 3 and Mikami is at direction again if there another game at all.

A very good game, as other people said tho you'll either love it or hate it

If you like those cheesy horror movies from the 70's (like Dario Argento's stuff) you'll love it tho

Don't expect the game to seriously spook you, think of it as a fun haunted house run and you'll enjoy it a lot more

Graphics and sound are generally high quality, gameplay wise it's nothing groundbreaking but it does its job well

>you get basically too much gear
congratulation, you might be the first person to complain about this in TEW

pretty much thisWhen I finished it I seriously thought this game got 9-10/10 scores everywhere, just to see the stupidest reasons everywhere why it is shit

The gameplay is as good as action-survival horror can get; tight resource management, nice challenge, decent costumization, plenty of strategy to use in levels.

The story is not very spooky but it's very atmospheric in a grotesque way.

I seriously think most people were too dumb for this game and got lost in the story so they just called it a "clusterfuck" and moved on. Same with the gameplay, it might have been too difficult for some and they blamed it on the game, when it's a completely fair challenging game.

A brutally hard and slightly unpolished action survival game a-la dead space (ds was more polished and fluid) but with an even more in your face horror stylization

It really is so fucking replayable like RE4. It's why I adore the hell out of Mikami's games.
