Most threads about 7 are empty. There's no lore, no characters, no depth to the mechanics, there's nothing to talk about. Core mechanics in 6 are way deeper than they are in 7. You may not like it, but it's a fact

So far I've finished REmake as Chris and Jill and finished 4, 5, and Revelations 1. Which one should I play next? I liked REmake well enough but I found the constant backtracking a little grating. 4 and 5 were kino but Sheeva's AI is so fucking dumb it really brought down the game
Right now I'm considering playing 2, Rev 2, or 7 next. Decide for me Sup Forums

Play all three from 2 to ReV to 7 in that order.

I played it on ps2 as a kid but I play it now on my pc through Dolphin so if you want to play it on PC get it through Dolphin

Seconding the first guy. Make sure you check out Revelations 2's raid mode and 7's DLC. IMO Joe Baker in End of Zoe was as close as we've gotten to playing someone like Wesker even though he's a normal human. It was always cool to see Wesker BTFO someone after shooting them in a vital zone but any character can do that, Joe just swings on 'em.

DLC is nothing special. Just Chris being Chris. He came on a mission, he lost his team, he accomplished the task, he went on a different mission in the ending cutscene.

T B H during the garage fight and the chainsaw fight I was thinking "this doesn't really seem like RE" but they were still fucking radical. Contrast that with RE6 which made me think the same thing but didn't keep me nearly as entertained, most of that game was like a bad Uncharted.

Not A Hero takes place before End of Zoe but you can tackle them in pretty much any order you want. Just about everything else is story or minigames featuring Lucas and his Jigsaw-style fuckery.

6 and 7 are both good.

I'd say go right in to not a hero then end of Zoe. NaH wraps up what happens to Lucas and gives the main story an actual final boss while EoZ wraps up the Bakers pretty well. After that do the Clancy dlcs that poor bastard suffers more than anyone else in the game.

I hate almost everything about 6 (I don't even think the mercs mode holds up to 5's) but I can honestly say who ever at capcom made those models deserves a medal you can tell they put time into lovingly rendering all those fine asses.
